I bought this in desperation one cold NYC morning when I realized I'd forgotten to pack my regular Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer.
This is a wonderful soft, moisturizing product for me to wear under makeup. I have dry skin, and this absorbs great.
I'm a little worried to hear from the other reviewer that MAC has discontinued it. It's still on their website, which makes me wonder if ordering it will lead to you receive the new product whether you like it or not.

In answer to the "would you buy this product again?" question my answer would be "UH I TRIED TO BUT MAC DISCONTINUED IT!" Yes, ladies they did and there is supposed to be a "replacement" comming out Dec 26th so we shall see! So pissed though since this hasnt broken me out!

This was a good moisturizer when I used it. I still have half a bottle lying around but I've put no use to it anymore. I'm found better.

I have really acne-prone skin, and I love this moisturizer! It is very light but still very moisturizing and I love that it has SPF 15. It isn't scented and the consistency is pretty liquidy. The bottle is compact and easy to travel with. I'm on acne medication that makes my skin more sensitive than normal and this product prevents flakiness and sunburn. It absorbs fast and doesn't feel heavy at all. I will continue to repurchase this, though I wish it were cheaper.

This moisturizer is perfect for my skin. It doesn't leave my combo skin oily or greasy afterwards (like moisture fix does yuck!)...it's so light and clean! So the bottle may not be fancy, but it's great and durable for travel. I use this as a primer to my BareMinerals (medium beige foundation) to smooth out my skin, and it makes my face look so fresh, dewy, and so natural!! Will Definately Repurchase!!!

I love this moisturizer!! I have been using it since the end of April and it has not broken me out. It is very light and does not leave my very oily skin slick or shiny. I will continue to purchase this product. Highly recommend, especially if you have oily, acne-prone skin. EDIT: 01/08- Now using oil-free Olay Complete b/c it is cheaper.

This is my new favorite moisturizer! I was previously using DDF ultra-lite, but it unfortunately lacks SPF, and I need a moisturizer with SPF because I use AHA/BHA on my face at night. I got this product in a swap, and I was reluctant to use it at first because I didn't want to jinx my finally nice-looking skin...but I used it one morning, and kept doing so for a week, and I didn't get any pimples! It sunk in well, kept my skin moisturized, and was a perfect base for both my liquid and powder foundations. I have to blot around lunchtime, but who doesn't? ;-) Packaging is great too, typical MAC no-frills easy-squeeze bottle with a screw-top lid. Travels well and doesn't take up too much room. New HG! EDIT 2/16/07: After careful evaluation of my skincare purchases, I decided that the price tag on this moisturizer is too much for my cheapie self -- I've switched to Olay Complete and it works just fine. continued >>

Perfect light moisturizer for summer. I have normal to oily skin so I don't need that much moisture. Not only do I love the texture, but also the scent of this moisturizer. It's very "fresh". :) This is a 50 mL or 1.7 oz bottle and retails for $25; very reasonable.

This is not a bad moisturizer to wear under foundation because it gives you SPF protection and doesn't make your face greasy. What I really like is when you first put it on your face the lotion just sinks in!
Unfortunetly; I don't think that I could wear this on its own because I need more moisture. Also, I think the spout is a little too large, because when you squeeze the bottle to much can come out. The price is not outrageous but slightly high at $25.00 for an ounce and a half if your're not completely happy. Not bad but I'll keep looking for another day moisturizer.

JUNE 10, 2006 UPDATE: If you are allergic to SPF lotions like me then beware that this gave me tiny bumps all over my face and when I stopped using it my face started clearing up right away. I guess I'll go back to using moisturizer w/o SPF and stick to using only Clinique's SPF because it doesn't give me tiny bumps. This is still a very good day moisturizer.

As a self-proclaimed moisturizer phobic, I love this moisturizer. It just sort of evaporates ever so lightly into my skin, not greasy *at all*. I love that it has a broad spectrum sunscreen. The moisture it provides is probably not for drier skin, but perfect for oily skinned gals like myself. I use it beneath MAC Prep + Prime Skin and the two really seem to create a flawless base that my foundation brush just glides over beautifully. The packaging is not the greatest, but not bad enough for me to remove a lippie. I will definitely repurchase.

I absolutely LOVE Mac's moisturizer! I've tried many different brands of day lotions with spf (among the many are Murad's Pomegranite Moisturizer and Eucerin spf 35 that I used for 3 years) and Mac's is by far the best one, imo for my needs. It's very very light and is comparable to "gel" type moisturizers (similar to Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisture Gel) only it's a lotion and actually helps dry skin. It works wonderfully under my powder foundations (I use Bare Escentuals, Mac Studio Fix, and Smashbox for different types of coverage). It dries so quickly that I only wait a few minutes before applying my powder... I never have a hard time with it and it does not cause my foundation to streak. I highly recommend this product for folks who use powder foundations because it dries so so quickly. It would be a miracle product if it improved my skintone... but I haven't noticed any changes yet, I've only been using it for 1.5 months. :) Maybe soon?

LOVE - I've been using it for about 2-3 years and haven't even considered switching. I've even got half of my friends using it. The texture makes it easy to control the intensity of the moisture so you can use it year round, in all types of weather. It makes skin SO soft, doesn't cause blackheads and is reliable as a sunscreen but it soaks in so that you can't even feel it. My only complaint is that you have to store the bottle upside down towards the end and it can blurt out a bit, causing waste. I wish it came in a pump instead. Now if only they made a tinted version of this, I'd be in heaven.
Also, this is perfect when used with studiofix foundation!

I love this moisturizer (and you can't beat the price)!!!! I was using La Mer until my husband put me on a spending diet. This MAC moisturizer was a lovely surprise. I had always been a fan of everything MAC so I decided to try their skin care for the first time. Worn under my MAC Studio Fix powder, the moisturizer absorbs almost immediately and makes my skin look smooth as silk. I have combination skin that is sensitive due to all the acne treatments I have used in the past. This moisturizer is worth every penny!

I really like this moisturizer. It replaces my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I like the lightweight feel and the SPF. I'm not a fan of the scent and the price. I hear Eucerin has an SPF moisturizer that is much cheaper, but I didn't find out about it until I bought this one. I probably would check out a cheaper option before repurchasing.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this moisturizer. I have combo/oily acne-prone skin, and this has not made me break out, nor does it leave my face extra oily. This lotion is very light, and sinks in fairly quickly, but is still creamy enough to smooth on easily. This really leaves skin soft, and makeup goes on wonderfully over top. The bottle looks tiny, but it's really 50mL. I've been using it daily for over 2 months, and there's still well over half left! I would definitely buy this again, and would recommend it for anyone who likes a light, oil-free lotion and who wants the extra sun protection.

Oh horror!! - I just went to the MAC shop, and it IS true. Itīs been discontinued! I was really almost crying, because itīs very hard to find good, not to emolient lotions with sunscreen (both chemical and physical) and great anti-oxidants AND great packaging. Instead MAC replaced this with Studio Fix spf 15, which doesnīt hold up at all to this product. Iīm now on the search for something similar to this formulation, both in ingredients and packaging. Any suggestions?

I'm sure there are some good sunscreen moisturizers out there, but this one is the best one by far that I've used. Of course, I've tried the ones recommended by dermatologists but they are still, IMO, very greasy and thick on my skin. Usually, sunscreen moisturizer makes my makeup look blotchy and uneven that it's hard to blend. Also, it usually makes my skin oily within 2 hours of putting it on. However, this MAC Day Spf 15 Light Moisture is indeed "light," and I'm glad for it. I have somewhat oily and combination skin, so this doesn't worsen the problem. It also makes a great primer for my makeup. It doesn't even sting on my skin, which is pretty sensitive in the winter and due to topical creams for acne. So that's a great plus!! I just simply love it!

I have been using this during the summer and I am happy with it. A good, basic moisturiser with SPF that doesnīt make my skin greasy and hasnīt caused any major problems (breakouts, etc). I love the silky effect (silicone) that makes it easier to apply makeup, and the bottle is great for travelling and carrying around. My only complaint is that itīs not moisturising enough for winter but will keep a bottle at hand as a makeup primer.

This is the best ever Full-spectrum SPF moisturizer for my oily, finicky skin. It blends on so silky and makes my skin feel so soft. You don't need much. I have and will continue to repurchase.
