i can understand why someone would not like this product as it is not convenient as seche vite (the holy grail for most)
so i will do a comparison
opi rapid dry:
packaging:4/5, the brush is wide and all in a typical clear bottle
quality/longevity: 4/5 lasts 5 days without any chipping what so ever
as advertised: 3/5, does not dry quickly, but once dried, its pretty good. even in its wet state it does not dent easily as seche vite
seche vite:
packaging 3.5/5 nothing special. the brush is standard/thin so application takes several strokes to complete a layer
quality/longevity; 3.5/5 its above average mainly because it has a nice finish and dries quickly but longevity-wise, it is quite picky as it does not adhere to plain nails, (as in this top coat sucks for french tip) it peels off as one solid piece..also the formula dries quickly to the TOUCH but not if u were to knick it on something while moving. your nails will be "sensitive" until another 6 hrs..
as advertised: 4.5/5 relatively long lasting if paired with the right nail polish (5 days no chipping), and dries quickly as it state
overall i prefer the opi if i have time to wait, seche vite if i just want the color for a few days..
Ok so this is a tricky product... Web I first used this topcoat it was really amazing, super shiny and glossy, dried fast, nice and thick, eveything you want in a good topcoat. But now after 8 months of use and about 3/4 of a bottle it is becoming bubbly and unbearable to work with! As someone mentioned if you don't have enough on the brush it will become streaky, if there's too much it bubbles everywhere and keeps ruining my perfectly applied nails that are so hard to achieve! I would not recommend this and will not be repurchasing! Seche vite is still the best top coat I have ever used

I got this top coat before reading the reviews so i got really worried. Anyway I was determined to prove that it is a good top coat because it worked really well the first month...but now after two months i have to warn you DO NOT GET this product. As i said it works really well at the beginning but then it starts getting bubbles ...you can see them all over the brush and so you can sort of avoid them but not for long im afraid.
I will not buy again it is a waste of money.
Firstly, I will say that this is NOT a bad product.
It's a good top coat. Really. But it does not dry rapidly. AT ALL.
I'm not even kidding.
It dries slower than my Seche Vite.
Which is disappointing since it is claiming to be RapiDry!!!
But if you want a good top coat and don't care about drying time, this works great. (:

I am amazed at the bad reviews here. This product has saved my ass. If you follow the instructions (wait 90 seconds after applying your last coat of colour before applying this and then give it five minutes after you're done) this works a charm!
On more than one occasion I have done my nails before going to bed, but waited at least an hour, and still woken up with sheet marks on my perfectly manicured nails. Such a bummer. With this, if I wait the recommended five minutes, I can do whatever I want wihtout being paranoid about denting my polish or otherwise messing it up. The biggest downside is the price... Almost 18 euro for a bottle is sort of nuts. But oh well. It works and I'm very pleased with it. It provides a nice, glossy finish, and it lasts, so I'm not complaining.

I have given this product the benefit of the doubt many times and by far it is the worst top coat I have ever used. I would much rather prefer to purchase Sally Hansen's and Revlon's top coats over this when if I did not have access to Seche Vite.
This product dries extremely fast. By that I mean it becomes gloopy and unbearable to use when I have only used 1/4 of the bottle. When applied with a "thick" coat, it bubbles like no other and with a thin coat, it's extremely streaky. This top coat is not very forgiving. You don't have much time to "spread" the top coat evenly on your nails before it clumps up. I believe it also appears to make your polish a bit darker as another reviewer has mentioned. It takes FOREVER to dry on your nails to the point where it makes me believe my nail polish would dry much quicker without using a top coat.
I love OPI products but this has by far been the worst top coat i've used. Not very quick drying on your nails. I'd recommend Seche Vite instead.

I like this top coat ! it's thick, dries fast, leaves a nice glossy finish and doesnt chip for a while.
If you put too little on the brush, it will get streaky, and it darkens the polish a little (i find it bothering if im applying pastel polishes).
I guess it's a good topcoat if you don't have seche vite accessible, but if you do then it would be better to just skip this.
I've been looking for a good, quick drying top coat. OPI makes a good base coat for nails so I figured I should try their top coat. Ugh, this product does the exact opposite. I found that this top coat makes my nails take LONGER to dry that with no top coat at all. I tested a nail with no top coat and another with the OPI Rapi Dri top coat. My nail with no top coat dried in ten minutes and I could touch my nail with no smudges. My nail with OPI top coat smudged and did not dry fast at all. Horrible, horrible product.
I don't paint my nails if I don't have this to use. It's amazing! I can paint my nails at night before I go to bed and don't end up with sheet marks. It's not very cheap but it's worth it.
This topcoat actually works very well for me! It is not as fast or as thick as Seche Vite, but it doesn't contain toluene (which also means it smells better). When I use RapiDry, my polish is dry to the touch in about 1-2 minutes.
My Zoya colors don't work well with Seche Vite, but they last for much longer with RapiDry. Normally, I chip in 2 days, but I can get 4 with Zoya + RapiDry. Another nice thing is that I never see shrinkage with RapiDry.
One complaint is that it can go on very streaky, even leaving visible ridges. This can be avoided by using more product - a nice bead on the end of the brush.
It's shiny and wears well for me. Mine came in a 2 pack with a free Red My Fortune Cookie, so it was a good deal.
