An HG item. I bought this after developing a very deep, painful crack in my right heel. The Microplane Orb I'd had for a couple of years had gotten dull and was no longer effective, so I read a number of reviews before selecting this. I used the Diamancel in combination with Flexitol heel cream, and the deep crack was pain-free in a couple of days. Two weeks later, it was completely gone, and my ragged, scaly feet look and feel amazingly smooth.
Thanks to all for posting the positive reviews. I'm very happy to have found this, and I'm looking forward to many years of continued use.

bought this several years ago, i guess i was expecting a miracle at first, so i wasn't overly impressed, not that i didn't like it, just that i felt i still had foot issues, but since the last person who gave me a pedicure commented on my feet, she said wow you have no calluses, i wish my feet were that soft, my sister pointed out that that is the third time we have heard this. so it got me thinking, what could have done that, i have had a standing job for 20 years, but i do use my diamancel once a week when i remember, i think now i will try and use more often

i said i'd buy this product again, but if i don't lose it or have it stolen from me, i don't think i'll have to! i've had this for 8 years now and it's still my go-to foot treatment. the way it works fits in naturally with the skin on your foot so it's not too much ever. i use it on my heels and on the heel of my big toes and it keeps the skin supple which is essential for my yoga practice.
i noticed recently when i was too lazy to use Diamancel this month and asked for one of those chemical callus peels during a pedicure. afterwards, it didn't get rid of all the heel stuff! but the skin on my heels felt really tight for days afterwards. i think it's because the chemicals sort of weaken the skin down many layers even if the top layer (the yucky stuff) stays on top. waste of my money too!
TIP: although i use it mostly when dry according to instructions, it actually works very well wet as well. you just have to rinse it after you've been working a bit because the skin doesn't fall away but sticks. i do this when i've neglected using it for awhile.

Best $45 I've ever spent. Have had it for a couple of years, and do NOT miss the constant cycle and expense of replacing cheaper, inferior files. It's expensive, yes, but it'll work out to be cheaper in the long run, and in said long run, I also get the use of a superior, hassle-free tool. I struggled with this purchase initially, thinking it was crazy to spend $45 on something I could get for $4, but then it came in the mail, and I've not doubted my decision for a second since the first use.

I've had this buffer for almost 5 years, and it's wonderful! I use it on dry feet several times a week, and it keeps them in great shape. It is expensive up front, but it will last you many years. This is a definite HG product for me!!

I've been using this for about a year, twice a week on dry skin & I love it. It makes my heels feel very soft. The best way to use it is on dry skin, this way it's probably impossible to hurt yourself. The handle is very good & easy to hold. After use wash it with soap, warm water & a nail brush or an old toothbrush.
It's expensive ($49) but it's worth it. I would buy it again even though I'm tempted to buy the PedEgg! continued >>

This was well worth the big price tag. I have used different pumice stones and foot files that disintegrate after repeated contact with water, and nothing compares. This is one of those quality items that you pay for in the beginning, but save in the end and use it forever.

I love love this foot buffer. Good hand grip, easy to clean and most of all -- it works! no need for expensive pedis. The one thing i like about the PedEgg in comparison tho is that is easy to travel with and it works as well taking the dead skin off but doesn't make my feet feel as soft as this.

This works very well in conjunction with #20. I recommend using this when you just get out of the shower. Towel off your feet and make sure they are completely dry, then start buffing. This is the ideal time to remove calluses effectively and gently. Then drench your feet in moisturizer or oil and cover them with socks.

I really wanted to love it, especially because it was so expensive for a foot file... But honestly, it does not work any better than any other cheap foot file I can buy at Sally's! I am always looking for some magic foot creams and foot files that could make my feet baby soft... no magic solutions so far, and i have tried many! It's not like my feet/ heels are super dry, but I want them to be baby soft and pink, and found nothing so far :). anyway: in my opinion, dont waste your money on this expensive file, its not going to do wonders! I am off to buy a new file from bliss though, i am hopeless:)

Iīve tried a lot before i finally got myself to spending that much money on a foot buffer - and this is by far the best.

I guess I'm in the minority here but I hated this foot file. Made my feet smooth for the moment but the next day the rough callouses were back. Definitely not worth the money. Not for me anyway.

Wow, nothing worked on my dry heels until I tried this foot file. Amazing. I use this on dry feet every other night, and finish with the #20 buffer, and my heels are as soft as a baby's. I will rebuy this.

Wow! I read the reviews on here and was hesitant but figured I have spent way more than that on products, etc.. since Dr. Scholls quit making their good pumice stone about 4 years ago. Ever since then I have struggled to keep my feet looking and feeling good. I exhausted my supply of the Dr. Scholls pumice stone a few months ago and it has been downhill since.
I ordered this and got it yesterday. Last night I went to work on my feet. After one use, wow!! It was amazing. My feet felt so smooth and when I walked on the carpet, no snags!! My boyfriend used it also and he really liked it. He has callouses that he has to cut off...he was amazed at how well this worked.
Well worth the $47.99 I paid at Dermadoctor.com... I would buy this again for sure.

I never knew that I could have baby soft feet. Living in AZ and being in sandals and flip flops year round has left my feet cracked, dry, and scaly. Bi-monthly pedicures with their callous remover still didnt get rid of the cracks. After reading the reviews here and on drugstore.com I decided to take the plunge. I opened the package and got to work, in ten minutes the deep cracks on the bottom of my heels were gone! I couldn't believe it! I had soft smooth skin now. After cleaning up the mess (I used it dry over the tub) I used some lotion and I couldn't believe it. I could feel how it felt to walk over carpet and tile, I could feel my feet slide smoothly over the sheets getting into bed. I was rubbing my feet together in bed that night in wonder! My husband wanted to know if I got a foot transplant! I am a convert!

I think the general idea for this tool is that you are to use it EVERY day -- I first read about it on a beauty website but it took me a year to finally cough up the $$ for it. The instructions are very specific -- use it on DRY feet and clean it from time to time with soap and a brush (I use an old toothbrush and bar soap). It's much easier to use if you prop your foot on the toilet (toes at the back to do the heels, heels at the front to do the toes). I have on occasion slipped and had a foot to go in the toilet, but it's no biggie. If you are diligent (and this only takes a few minutes a day), this file should take care of even very thick, serious callouses. I LOVE it!

ok so this is nothing short of a miracle worker. put it this way. i live in florida, wear flip flops everday even in the winter, and would never get pedicures. Needless to say my feet were not very attractive and as a college student getting a pedicure isnt exactly at the top of my list. But I decided to go ahead and splurge on this foot buffer and it really has made such a huge difference. As soon as i got it my feet looked way better and it makes your feet so smooth! I may need to get a pedicure in a month or so b/c they were pretty bad in the first place but if you are in need of a serious foot tool i would def recommend this!
