Let me begin by saying my skin is far from perfect , but it's never been 'terrible' per see , that was of course until I started using this delightful cream by avene..one night in , I got 3 new blemishes and my rash exasperated x 1000! I returned this STRAIGHT away , I much prefer ella bache creme intex for irritated areas.

I really wanted to like this product but unfortunately I couldn't. I have eczema on my face and this seemed gentle enough to use on tender areas. However this product BURNED MY FACE upon applying. My face was stinging so much I could barely open my eyes or mouth. I drowned my face in cooling water immediately however when I looked in the mirror the redness of my face almost gave me a fright. I went straight back to the pharmacy the following morning and refunded it. The manager had informed me that other customers had experienced similar problems with this product too. If you want a product to treat eczema please try the Avene cicalfate creme instead.

I bought this because have heard so much about how Avene is good for people with sensitive, allergy proned skins. I had a bad bout of eczema on my legs. The skin there is really dry with scaly patches & uneven skin tone. I first applied the cream on my legs, & since its so emollient, I ended up applying it all over my body. Big mistake. Within 1/2 an hour I was itching all over, but especialy badly on my legs, which also turned red. It was so intolerable that I finally had to wash it all off. That didn't stop the itch completely though. Had to take some anti-histamine for that. So, lesson learned, patch test 1st, and everyone's skin is different. However, I must add, though this cream didn't work for me, Avene's Soothing Hydrating Serum works so well for my facial skin, which is oily, but dehydrated. continued >>

The "unscented" but in reality "blah chemical" smell made me so sick. I couldn't wait to get it off, air out my room and return the product ASAP.

It made my skin look old, wrinkly, extremely ugly and even more painfully dry than it was before I put it on. Nothing moisturizing about it at all. It just sat on the top of my skin doing diddly. No... wait~it sat there spreading stink. Scam. ;) OMG! I hate trying products that turn out badly but really, who doesn't? ;) :)

The Avene Trixera cleanser did these same things. They sent me some samples but I am afraid to try anymore of this brand after these horrible experiences so I'll put them in the trash nicely. :D

I have rosacea and am always looking for something my skin can tolerate, and does not get redder from,or get pustules from.
the only product that seemed to calm my skin was Valmont, but after using it some time, it was not moisturizing enough. One of the side effects of rosacea is wrinkling from dryness. This cream seems to calm my skin and seems to moisturize my skin at the same time. I love it!
my sister in law also has rosacea. she loves the cold cream,. she said her skin has not looked this good in years. For me that did not work, my skin looked redder from the cold cream.

I love the entire Trixera set of products! They are unscented, very rich and feels great on the skin. It doesn't do a lot for my dryness but it works wonders for the itchiness and sensitiveness of my skin with eczema and Sjogren disease.

I wanted a thick night cream that moisturized my skin VERY well. My pale, freckled, sensitive skin gets very dry in the winter. I tired MANY heavy creams. I was skepticle of this because it came in a pump bottle, and usually its a light lotion. This is a VERY MOISTURIZING lotion. More moisturizing than ANY heavy cream i have tried (neostrata, mary kay emollient ect.) This is so moisturizing that it takes pretty much all night for it to absob meaning it will leave your face a little greasy in the day, but i put it on my dry spots in the day and i dont notice any greasyness. Some people want the quick absobtion, but with that comes little moisurizing.

This cream is not irritating in any way. I rub this over my extremley sensitve eyes and it dosnt burn so obviously its not going to harm your skin. My skin no longer has dry red spots on it ANYWHERE, and has evened out. This lotion really does smell like playdoh, but i didnt buy it for sent, i bought it for results and thats what i got. You will not be dissapointed. I would try this before the balm as it is lighter and unless your face is peeling all over and extremly sore or something, i really dont think you would need any more moisture than this cream has.

This bottle is huge and well worth the price. I got 15% off at SDM and they have it on sale quite often so watch!

For a daytime cream i use the redness relief cream and it is AMAZING as well :)

My mom and I have dry skin that gets tight and flaky whenever we travel. This solves both those problems! The only thick cream that hasn't broekn me out. Wish it came in a smaller size to keep in my purse.

Don't have anything to add that hasn't been said in countless other reviews: awesome, no-frills, simple skin cream for face and body that does what it's supposed to. Will repurchase.
