I really love this shade. It's a frosty white. It can be worn alone or you can use it to lighten dark lipsticks and add a frosty finish. It's sheer and lets your natural lips hue peek through so it looks like your wearing a pretty pinky frosty shade rather then white lipstick. If you can find it and don't mind frost you have to get it. It's like a your lips but frostier shade. It's fun and I love it's name.

Unique color, great to have in a collection to have an array of colors.

This gives me a neon retro 50s look. It has this satin like feel. This is my favorite color in MAC lipstick

Got this that CCO last friday. Went back to get another one on Monday and it was sold out.*sigh*. Anyhoo, I agree with the previous reviewer. Bubbles is a must have. Alone its not flattering at all. But paired with another l/s or l/g it takes whatever you pair it with to another level.

Everyone should have a Bubbles in their mu arsenal.
Why? -- it can work by itself, it can work as a glaze on top of other lipsticks, it can lighten up and sheer out a matte color.
it is the great changer and for this alone is an mua's best friend.

I really like this! I wish i would've bought a backup. Now i realize it looks really wierd in the tube, a frosty white lipstick, whaaat?! but its actually really wearable, at least for me. I like to put it on very lightly by itself just to add a sheen or put it on top of another lipstick. &i also know some people use it as a lip highlighter, im sure it works good for that too. I used to buy this years ago- then it was discontinued. AND NOW ITS BACK!! Yay! It is a very light shimmery shade. Pretty layered over cooler toned lipsticks or liners. Also pretty when dabbed on lips for sheer shimmery effect. I can't apply this full on to the lips out of the tube, I feel like I look like tyrone the crackhead (dave chappelle character for those that don't know)! But, I also love to use this for when I do makeup for photoshoots- dabbed in center in place of gloss (saves me time from constant touchups)

Unfortunately, this shade did not work for me. Very very sparkly!

I love this lipstick, its one of those colors that you can put on without a mirror. I was originally gonna buy the silver LS from the same collection but went with this one instead. I'm extremely pale and this makes my lips almost blend in with my face. It looks very futuristic & looks awesome with a dark eye. This goes well with the 'Rock Out' lipglass from the same collection. What surprises me about this LS- it lasts forever! I was expecting to have to reapply often but this stayed on my lips for hours without drying them out. I may have to buy a backup or two. I love this lipstick! Very unique. Gives off a nice little pink tint from your natural lip colour. I LOVE using this UNDER a bright hot pink lipgloss, it tones down the bright of the pink depending on how much of the lipstick you have applied . If you used a lot of the lipstick, you get a nice nude pink colour, if you used a little, then you get a nice mauvy toned down pink... LOVE IT

Nostalgic shade, I would layer this lipstick over other lipsticks as a teen. It was pretty much bad shade and its a collectors item. If you are a person who just has to have every shade made by MAC go ahead and purchase but if you expect something that you can wear in public....forget it. Bubbles was something from the Clueless era. Oh lordy, what was I thinking? But MAC brought it back after having it discontinued. I had to layer this, otherwise I looked like I had a dead ladies lips or space futuristic lips. I think this was my third lipstick from MAC. Its a pearly white, maybe a hint of pink tone. It reminds me of the stone Opal... It was a glaze didn't really show up unless if you applied it constantly. Was drying as well, use lip conditioner. I wouldn't buy it again. Its mostly just white....

Yuck i hate MAC lipsticks. Why are they so dry...? Why do people like these i don't get it LOL i prefer Revlon. If i could i would give this a 0 rating instead of 1. It is super dry formula, the color i don't understand you really can't use it as a lipstick but i have heard some people use this lipstick as a highlighter. Too much work for me sorry.

love this product! its very sheer because its only a glaze but its great for just a sheer wash of color. i despise!!! lip gloss, i just hate the texture on my lips but this gives me the effect of a gloss almost. love it!!

This lipstick is really pretty. It has a hint of shimmer with a light pink colouring. Also, this lasting quality is pretty good. (It stayed on through breakfast until lunch - about 4 hours without a touch up!) I would reccommend using this lip product for everyday use. :)

Absolutely amazing. sheers down in a shiny, spunky way my very rose lips. i dont find the need to pair it with anyone because it's already nicely paired with pigmented lips.
i love how, in an analogy type of way, Bubbles l/s is to lips as Pearl CCB is to cheeks. you get me? bubbles is like a highlight product for the lips!!

You do need to know how to use before you judge though. It looks white on the lipstick but when you apply it it is very sheer with hints of sparkle in it. It's really feminine and pretty and because it applies sheer it makes it very versatile. You can leave it on its own or you can apply other shades on top or below it.
Such a shame that it's discontinued. I keep looking on ebay for the rogue ones that are still lying around...
hope MAC brings this one back!!

Bubbles is a Frost Lipstick. I love it. It is ultra frosty though, but I think you need to know how to use it well before you judge. I usually use it on top of a bright matte lipstick, to give it a beautiful sheen and pop to the middle of the lips. Sometimes, I apply a Dazzleglass ( Date Night ;] ), on top of it. It's a fun lipstick to wear when going out to maybe an event, club, hot date, or what not. I'm so happy I bought it :)

but for those of you who are looking for a backup or have never tried it and want to, keep reading, I have a perfect identical dupe..and its permenent!
bubbles is a lipstick that was re-promoted with the sugarsweet collection which to this day has been my fav collec. its a frost, creamy, but stays on well.. sheer enough to wear without having white lips.
because its a frosty white that applies sheer..it goes on ur lips as a bubblegum pink. so pretty and sexy! retail for this is $14 but since its LE and no longer available..you can only get it overpriced.
well feel free to be exited now..cus I found a dupe that stays longer, has and is more useful :)

this is absolutely the same as bubbles, but better in my opinion, you just lightly dab it on ur lips until desired and voilah! its a perfect bubbles.. you can also top it with a gloss, or a liner. its all up to your tase. I like subculture liner the best, and for gloss I like c-thru and underage.
I hope this helps ladies, if you have an unlimited supply to bubbles, luna is still amazing for a cheek highlight or base. its safe on your lips too. I went on a hunt for a dupe since I am a bubble lipstick lover :)

I just bought this lipstick yesterday. I think this is the 2nd time MAC featured the color BUBBLES because the MA said the first time the color was released it sold out fast. I will usually always buy a MAC item that looks like it will be unique and/or unconventional, just for fun if I can afford it. I am so happy I did! The color is the palest pink frost I have ever seen, almost white. I wore it with Gingerroot (Ginger pink Pearl) lip liner, also by MAC. I swear it looked like it was air brushed on - a light veil of shimmery color. It will be very versatile, a different look with a different liner. This is definitely a new favorite!
