I was a little disappointed with this product. Bought it at bluemercury, where the SA seemed to know what she was talking about. I told her that I have combination skin with some very dry, flaky areas, and I needed a moisturizer to keep my face from drying out under my makeup. I wanted something similar to what I was using -- the moisturizer jar from Ahava for extra dry skin -- and I ended up with this cream. It's not as thick as the Ahava, but it does have a better smell. The jar says that it is supposed to be good for winter months, but I really didn't experience this. It also made my skin feel a little sticky when I put my foundation over it. I will probably save this one for the summer when I wear less makeup. It wasn't bad enough to throw out.

I love the Ginseng Cream. I have acne prone skin and I have been using this since Dec. 2007. It can be sticky when first applied, but after, your skin is radiant for hours. I am purchasing my second jar. Its very affordable and worth every penny.

MB Ginseng Moisture Cream gives a very thick and emollient but very matte finish, and that's a tough combination to come by. I like it for days when I'm not wearing any makeup - it makes my skin look better and feel richly moisturized while being matte. Slight warming sensation, but no problem. Ideal for dry or mature skin for a natural youthful look without makeup.

I just finished my first jar and I think this is the perfect light but not oil-free moisturizer for oily-combo skin. It's a no-brainer for me, and I love that it doesn't have SPF b/c that can feel so heavy. I use MMU anyway so I don't necessarily want additional SPF in my moisturizer. This never clogged my pores or caused any breakouts of any kind. It was recommended to me by my Mario Badescu facialist, who knows my skin. It's also really inexpensive and lasted me about 3 months. I am going to rebuy next week.
EDIT: it was all fun and games until the smell changed on my 2nd jar...then I started getting breakouts all over my face. I stopped using it and my skin cleared up. GET RID OF THE JAR! LOSE THE JAR!!!!

I really cannot believe this got bad reviews! I use it after my Buttermilk Moisturizer in the Winter months, because my skin loses all its moisture in this harsh cold climate. I love the gel-like texture and the fresh scent. I seriously have no complaints about this at all. It doesn't break me out and I only need a little dab on my dry spots.

I got a MB sample kit and this ginseng moist cream is included so i gave it a try. I've been using it for the past 5 nites, it's got a very thick, almost gluey texture, definitely not a very pleasant consistency. however it does serve its purpose, a bit sticky on my face but I got myself some glowing skin and no breakouts the next morning. however cuz of the unpleasant texture and smell i probably wouldn't buy this after I runout. Will definitely try the Seaweed Night Cream instead cuz it's the lightest night cream MB offered and it's oil free so I think is better for my combo/sensitive/dehydrated skin.

This is it! I finally found my favorite moisturizer! It works great with my dry skin, but doesn't aggravate my t-zone. Although it's described as a "day cream", I also use it at night with the Healing Cream. UPDATE***After 2 months I've stopped using this because I kept getting chronic dry flakes. It's okay as a basic cream, but doesn't do enough for me in the coldest part of winter.
