In the beginning I loved this shampoo. I loved the herbal smell and it also helped my hair stay and feel cleaner for longer. So I purchased the liter bottle. Huge mistake. Now my hair feels dry, brittle and coated. After I shampoo my hair feels like straw and has no shine. Such a shame, because it does manage to keep my roots feeling fresh for a longer time but it means the rest of my hair feels awful. Will not be re-purchasing.
the shampoo is not that organic or natural and pure but it is just ok, smell is great. no harsh big no no bad stuff. it is very drying and seem to strip a lot of the natural hair oil out.
I have a large 1 liter bottle of this. Purchased initially because I wanted something natural and non-stripping for the hair. This is a good shampoo, does what it claims and leave my hair soft and bouncy. But it doesn't clean that well and sometimes I need to wash my hair twice to get rid of all the residue on the roots. Smell is quite strong, but it doesn't bother me too much. I will probably repurchase.

This is a fantastic product for anyone with oily hair/scalp.
I have oily hair. I have tried many shampoos over the years. Until I discovered shampure, every other shampoo I used would either strip my hair dry, or make my hair oily within a day. With shampure, my hair/scalp finally has balance. I can go a couple of days now before having to wash my hair; something I have never been able to do in the past when using other brands.
Shampure is definitely expensive compared to other shampoos on the market; however, a little bit of product really will go a long way. You only need a small amount of shampure to create a rich lather that will be enough to wash even long hair. This too is something I've never found in another shampoo. One bottle will last you a while. Well worth the investment, in my opinion.
If you're not sure you want to invest in a full sized bottle right away, Aveda sells shampure in a travel-sized bottles as well.

I have been using Aveda Shampure ever since I stumbled upon it during shopping for a daily shampoo. Upon doing a brief scalp analysis, my scalp belongs to the dry to normal category and I was recommended to use Shampure by the sales assistant. The smell of Shampure is HEAVENLY. It feels like spa everytime I wash my hair. It is easy to lather into foam and rinse away without feeling build-ups. After washing, my hair feels clean, not drying and soft.
I love this Aveda shampoo which is a complete change from my usual thoughts on Aveda shampoos. Every single one of them dries my fine hair hair out to a nasty tangly mess except for Shampure. HOWEVER - I think this is because, at the advice of my stylist, I use Damage Remedy conditioner (the regular one) to condition after use and not the matching Shampure conditioner. My salon tends to mix Aveda shampoos and conditioners based on the person's hair when they are shampooing. For my hair, which is generally oily and fine, they use Shampure to cleanse, followed by Damage Remedy to rehydrate (since my hair is colored with Aveda color). It works, my color stays, my hair is light, shiny and bouncy. It has literally taken me YEARS to find the right shampoo. Usually what happens is I'll love a shampoo and then 2-4 weeks into use I notice reasons to dislike it (drying or buildup or some other annoyance). This has been 3 full months of use and it is a definite HG shampoo (and HG shampoo/conditioner combo) for my hair. SInce I also shampoo every day, this great result really demonstrates to me its gentleness and lack of buildup or lack of "crispy hair" situation.

This product, along with the conditioner revitalised my hair. I had dry, fine, curly hair that tends to become incredibly frizzy and unmanageable throughout the day. I have tried many products, ranging from drugstore shampoo to Kerastase. They would either dry my hair out (like the clarifying products) or weight my hair down(like Bain Satin series). Then there was Shampure.
After I started using this product, along with the conditioner, my hair is soft, shiny, bouncy and oh so healthy. It made such a difference that my friends notice it. It is natural, not over the top expensive, smells great, and transforms your hair. Incredible!
Yes it may be a little drying but I think that is because it gets rid of all the stuff that has build up on your hair. How do I know this? Well, before I started using this product, I'd have oily disgusting residue building up on the sides of the ceramic plate of my GHD. I'd find a fair bit of it after I straighten my hair a couple of times and I'd have to clean it up with a piece of cotton. Since I've started using this product, there is almost nothing building up there.
I highly recommend you guys try this stuff.
Ultra drying shampoo. For color treated hair which may be on the drier side already, do not use this shampoo. It is horrendous. After using it once my hair was so puffy, crunchy-dry, and stripped of color.
This is one if the worst shampoos I've ever used. My hair is dry to the point of being crispy but somehow manages to be gummy on top. I'll never use it again.
