NO. I have very dull/damaged but very thin/fine hair. I was recommended this by an Aveda SA because its the lightest weight that will add shine. Well, I don't want to ever see what the rest of the products that add shine do, because this made my hair an absolute flat grease helmet within less then an hour. I've NEVER had a shine spray be that heavy before. The ONLY reason it's getting a 2 is because it did make my hair very shiney. But that pro certainly doesn't outweigh the con.

Smells like cheap alcohol. Ugh! And does very little for my hair. Biosilk does the job much better.

works averige, but i totally hate the smell and it is not as good as L'oreal Elvive anti-frizz serum...

I'm definitely in the minority here, but I cannot stand the smell of this, or any other Aveda product other than the Rosemary Mint Shampoo and Conditioner. For some reason, it smells like feet to me. It also doesn't do anything for my thick, slightly dry, color treated hair that other (cheaper) products don't do just as well. For better results from a spray-on shine product, I use the Mica spray from the Abba line (vegan and natural as well). Spray just two or three squirts on your brush if you are brushing your hair, or into the air just above your head and let it settle gently on your head. There is no repugnant odor, and it makes hair glow.

Too heavy for my fine hair weighed it down and made it look very greasy..nice smelling though.

I love the way this product smells and how shiny it makes my hair look. But I would definitely follow other reviewers' advice: don't apply very much of it and keep it away from your roots. Not for fine or limp hair. I love Aveda products generally, but I'm sure there's a cheaper product out there that would do the trick.

To make the most of this great product, one needs to know a simple little trick. Spray the shine into your palms...about 4 squirts...them rub your palms together...and then run your fingers quickly through your hair (but not near your roots!). You won't see any fly-aways and your locks will shine like the sun. Great product!

not bad- it does add shine immediately upon spraying on hair, but the shine doesn't last. this product really smells great, but if you use too much it makes your hair VERY greasy. i love the smell of aveda products, but even though this product smells wonderful the product itself is only mediocre. i will not repurchase.

Ive had this in my closet for a long time now. I will not buy it again. There are tons of spray shines out there for a lot less money and less of a smell. This has the same drying effect as all the other silicone/alcohol products- you dont need to pay any extra for this one.

After all the hype over this I was extremely disappointed... just left my have lank and greasy looking. Didn't mind the smell, but it didn't wow me at all.

Great shine for my really dull hair, but the scent was so overpowering, it made me gag. I had to hold my breath while I sprayed and then run out of the bathroom.

Hated it. It smelled artificial and perfumey to me and I always seemed to overdo it and end up with lank greasy hair. I chucked it.

this product works and smells great. the only thing is that it is pricey so i use it on occasion, when i want my hair to look super sleek.

Even tho this works great on my blonde hair, gives it a great shine without looking greasy or feeling 'yucky', i wont be buying this again. The scent seem to stick around forever and made me aware that i had styled my hair...i prefer to do my hair and forget about it! otherwise a great product!

the cool, blue glass packaging on this line totally got me. i bought everything. this is a lightweight silicone spray for hair that results in some serious shine (and possibly limpness if you overdo it) along with a wafting warm and fresh scent. of all the aveda smells, this is the only one i like.

I did like this product for shining up one's hair, but I have dark, almost black, nearly waist-length hair so how hard is it to make it look even shinier? In truth though, I had someone comment on how pretty and shiny my hair looked. The spray-on form is much lighter than the oil pumped fr the bottle (which is too much) I'd buy this product again. It also smells nice.

I usually love Aveda hair products, but this was bad. It made my hair sticky and greasy at the same time. The scent was nice though.

This sounds like a brilliant concept.. but it doesn't do anything for me? I sprayed it on my hair, and while it looked a bit more shiny, it didn't really perform better than cheaper products out there. It could be because my hair is already straight , but I just didn't see a huge change in it.

I do love this product. It smells so wonderful and leaves my hair super shiney. I'll definitely re-purchase!

Always receive compliments when I wear this. A spray or two will suffice. It also lasts forever. Be careful with the glass bottle, though.
