This is the best brow color EVER! Even though it has shimmer it works beautifully for my brows. Will absolutely purchase again. The color doesn't darken or change once applied. Love it.

Wow, I can't believe I've overlooked this eye shadow for so long! I picked it up on a whim for about $2 and with primer it looks amazing - a perfect cool taupe that brings out the green in my eyes and compliments my pale olive skin tone (cool-neutral). It also goes on somewhat sheer, so doesn't look as dark on my lids as it does in the pan, but I am sure you could layer it if you wanted to.
The fall-out wasn't too bad, unlike the Mink color, and it seems to wear well. I find it more shimmery than frosty so I can wear this for work, in fact it has a similar effect on me as BB shimmer wash eyeshadows, but not as finely milled. I hope CG doesn't discontinue this!

This eyeshadow has quickly become my go to daily eyeshadow. Just a quick swipe on my lids and I'm set. Beautiful color. Will totally repurchase.

I love this color! I purchased this 2 weeks ago and I am always using this! It's a beautiful taupe color. I haven't had any fallout but sometimes the color doesn't really stick out even with good primers. I do have to reapply which kind of bothers me but I expect this from CG. I would repurchase since this color is great for an everyday look.

I have purchased this eyeshadow twice, and just cannot get it to work for me. I am disappointed with the amount of fall out, even with really great primers. I like the color, and think this would be a great go-to every day type shadow. However, the color is not long lasting, and there is a ton of fall out for me, despite primers and diff brushes. While the shadow is inexpensive and easy to take a chance on, I just cannot find anything good to say about the wearing ability of this shadow.

I love this eyeshadow. It's perfect for an everyday look, or can look more dramatic with darker liner. I have fair skin and blue eyes and it looks great. I find myself using this shadow more than any other shadow I own.

I have blue-green eyes, and I found this shade looked like I rubbed dirt on my lids and made me look tired and washed-out. May be right for brown eyes, but not blue eyes and fair complexions.

I've had this e/s for quite some time now, 6 years to be exact. I first got it when I was in high school and I hated it then because it wasn't brightly colored and I knew nothing about primers or bases. Fast forward to a year ago, when I started to go on job interviews my senior year of college and I had no professional looking e/s. I dug this little gem out from the deepest crevice of my makeup drawer out of desperation and gave it a shot. Needless to say, I was so surprised by how beautiful, professional, and put together this eyeshadow made me look. On my NC30 Asian small double-lidded eyes, tapestry taupe is a medium silvery taupe with a brown undertone. It has just enough shimmers to add dimension without looking frosty. I wear it over UDPP, alone on my lid and crease, then black eyeliner and mascara, and I add a matte highlight to my brow bone to complete the look. I've been wearing this combination almost daily to work because I find it to be a no-fuss, easy, and goes with everything I wear type of look. I would definitely repurchase, since it's become a staple in my makeup routine. A bonus is that it's under $4!

Great everyday taupe! I like to wear it on the lids and crease for a simple, quick look. It doesn't have the best wear even with primer for me. It's great for beginners and neutral lovers on a budget!

Chalky ugliness. The colour might not work on warm tones but i could still make it work...if it weren't for the horrible texture and pigmentation issues! CG Mink is v good quality, expected this to be likewise.

Bleh. Utter, complete crap. Tapestry Taupe is the only CG eyeshadow single I own, and I think I may have gotten a bad batch as well. Sure, mine's somewhat pigmented, and it's a nice color and such, but the texture is absolutely HORRENDOUS. Hard to the touch, chalky, flaky, and I've tried it as an all over wash a couple times for a simple look. FAIL. This absolutely would not blend to save it's life. It went on in glittery patches (oh yeah, and its a complete glitterbomb!) And trust me, I'm no beginner at makeup application. It just goes to show you how long some drugstore makeup lasts before it has to be pitched: not very long. Packaging sucks too, but then again, you have to realize, this is CoverGirl we're talking about. They're gonna keep their outdated blue plastic packaging until the Rapture, I bet. :)

Not sure why everyone loves this shade, it's so boring to me I think I've only used it once since buying. Taupe is a very subjective shade, it really changes depending on the coloring of the person. I have about 10 other taupes that I like better, including WnW Nutty. I might change my mind later if I start using it more, but at this point, I have no reason to repurchase.

Love this color. It could be considered a dupe for MAC Satin Taupe. ST has more purple though. This shadow is beautiful on my cool toned skin. I love this even more than CG Mink.

LOVE this shadow!! Originally was going to buy MAC satin taupe, but when I tried it on, it pulled really purple on me. also the mac color was a bit muddy on me, not at all a good taupey wash for my lids (NC30, asian yellow toned). Then I tried this color, and it's a very shimmery silvery taupe, less brown (if you want more brown, i suggest the WnW nutty, very brown taupe).
It's the PERFECT shadow for my lids, it adds dimension, super easy to blend, and for my lids doesn't look like I got punched like satin taupe made it look. It's a lot lighter than satin taupe, in fact I wouldn't say it's a dupe at all, maybe cousins, def not twins. Try it if you wanted something lighter, more silvery taupe smokey and satin taupe doesn't work for you.

Works similar to Mink for me, although obviously not as warm. Gives a beachy look.

I feel like I'm missing something here. I know lots of people love this particular shade from CG. I might have gotten a dud, because mine is very hard in texture and does not have any pigmentation. I will be sticking with NYX Iced Mocha instead.

I bought this at CVS for $3 along w/CG Mink e/s. I like the texture better than the Mink, goes on smoothly with few fall outs. It's a gorgeous shimmery taupe and neutral enough to wear it during the day.

I love this color! Great by itself, and great for blending or softening other colors. Would absolutely purchase again and consider it a staple go-to shadow. It shimmers a bit, just lovely.

Love this! I bought it based on the reviews and am so glad I did. I never buy cheap eyeshadow, but this looks beautiful on (I have white/porcelain skin with a hooded crepey eyelids). I definitely will buy again and look into the other colors. So far, it has lasted most of the day. I do plan on trying it with an primer to see if that extends the life.
