I have had this brush for years. I don't find it at all scratchy like some other reviewers have noted, nor does it shed, but it's just not the most versatile brush. It is definitely good for applying loose and pressed powder all over the face but is much too large for blush or anything that requires more precision, like contouring. There are definitely more versatile brushes out there for the price. However, like all MAC brushes I've had, it's top notch quality, and with a little care is still in excellent condition after all these years,

Wow, I can't believe MAC would put out a product this bad -- as others have noted, this brush sheds like crazy, leaving black hairs all over my face. What a waste of money.

I love most things MAC, this is a big exception though. One of the first MAC brushes I bought (& more expensive) but for the cost its not good. Just as the previous reviews have stated its scratchy & boy does it shed alot. It wasnt even like it started shedding after I had it for a while, I remember it almost immediately started when I had purchased it. I am also very delicate cleaning & maintaining my brushes & so far this is the only brush that sheds or has given way ever. I sadly replaced this brush's job with my real techniques one. continued >>

I've had this brush for over 5 years now and keep going back to in hope that it has somehow miraculously changed how shoddy it actually is for a MAC brush. Constant shedding and scratchy feeling, basically echoing all of the other reviews. I'd have avoided it if I had read these beforehand but only stumbled across these reviews thinking I had somehow purchased a faulty brush and wondered what others thought.

I bought this brush on the strength of MAC's reputation. But unfortunately this one does not live up tot hype. It sheds like crazy. I keep having to pick a hair off my face every time I use it. And it is SCRATCHY. Geez, for that kind of money, you would think it would not lose hair every time and scratch and irritate my face.

Unfortunately I misplaced my receipt, otherwise I would take it right back.

I won't buy this again and I am now leery of wasting any more money on these very pricey brushes.

That will teach me to buy something before reading reviews here. I would never have bought it if I had read the many reviews here from posters who had the exact same experience I did.

This is the only MAC brush that I find scratchy. And I have a ton of them! I purchased it at Macy's for $42.00, not incl shipping. I would say that I am spoiled being I also own the 187 (everyone knows how ridiculously awesome and soft that one is), but really I have EcoTools brushes that are a million times softer than this 150. It's so bad, I don't think I can swap it!

After hearing so many good things about MAC brushes, I am frankly shocked and disappointed. This brush sheds like crazy which adds time to my morning routine to as I have to pick black hairs off my face. It is also so scratchy it actually hurts my face when using it! Save yourself the £32.50 and look elsewhere!

This was the first brush I ever bought I used to love it until I tried other brushes its good for powder and blush but it sheds like crazy ergh it's really annoying as its not as soft as the other mac brushes feels a bit prickly I wouldn't buy this again as there are cheaper brushes that do a better job I think this is one of MACS worst brushes :(

I love the look of this brush, the size and the finish it gives on my setting powders, I just don't like the feel it feels like someones scratching my face when I use it, it sheds like crazy no matter what I do it sheds and you can't get it to stop, I think it is a bit over priced I paid £32.50 for it here in the uk considering my avon all over face brush witch was a £5.00 feel way better on my skin and does the same job if not better, I wouldn't buy it if your one of those people who get freeked out when a brush sheds, but if you don't mind paying out a little bit extra for the name the go for it :D
