I was thinking which one to buy, normal 8 hour lip protectant stick or tint. Well of course i wanted to try the tint because i already had the normal one. I didn't see the tint in tube, only the packaging of it. I thought Blush would be like really really sheer light pink, but i was wrong. It looked like true red in the tube and when i put it on my lips, they're like sheer true red to me. It's okay if you like true reds, but the name "Blush"... just doesn't fit. I thought i could use this everyday to school but i think it shows too much. And it also seems like its not as smooth as normal lip protectant stick. It's more dry than that. Well it's not horrible, but I wish i picked up the normal lip protectant.
Purchased this as I tend to get dry lips and they also turn a horrible bluey colour in the cold weather, which, in the North East UK is nearly everyday!!
I have used eight hour balm before and quite like the smell. It has a rich consistency and I feel my lips are softer and protected. Also the colour is subtle enough - the colour in the tube is very bright but this is not the case when applied. It stays on for quite a while compared to lip balm and has a gorgeous sheen to it, which is not quite as shiny as a gloss but makes lips look lovely and moist! My hair does not stick to it!
The packaging looks expensive and I like the fact this is in a tube so it's easy to apply.
OK not my fav. This looks good in the summer when I am super tan... otherwise its a no go. it does go on sheer for a lipstick, I would not call it a tint though. Im rating this as more expensive ..reallly because for the price i think there are far more better color/formulas out there. Diane v.f. makes a really pretty pink lipstick/lip color that has more oomph to it. Gave it away
I love the tint, it's a feminine, glowy pink. Though this does not moisturise lips to the point of absolute softness and smoothness, it won't cause the skin on your lips to flake or leave a white line. Doesn't really last 8 hours either. But it has a gentle fragrance that makes me think of all things relaxing and romantic. I'd buy it again just because it makes me feel more confident and positive.
I like this tint a lot. This must be one of those love it or hate it products cause I can't find anything wrong wtih it... except the price, but I got mine for free, so I can't complain. Maybe it's because I have already pigmented lips, but this doesn't go on as a bright pink. It's pretty sheer, actually. I like to use it as a cream blush, too. No break outs to speak of. I'm definitely going to repurchase.
I got this lippie as part of a gift pack. I have to say, as much as I love the 8 hour cream itself. I dont really know what I can say about this particular lip treatment.
The colour is a bright pink, as one reviewer already said, it's kinda an "80s" kinda pink. It does do the job on making ur lips soft, but I wouldnt say it does a better job than the 8-hour cream in a tube?!
The stick broke, after using it TWO TIMES, so it really makes ya wonder lol. I personally wouldnt purchase it. Since I've had such a bad experience with it. However, I wouldnt mind trying the 8hour lippie, WITHOUT tint...
Hmm...I have to say I have mixed feelings about this product. If I could I'd rate it 3 and a half stars. Pros: Nice earthy lemongrass scent, ultra chic packaging (frosted white container, with frosted silver band and writing), moisturizes well, SPF. Cons: Extremely pricey for product, coverage isn't always even. I don't particularly like the color Blush either, it screams "80's PINK!" in a more subtle way. Verdict: Would wear only when out in the sun to protect for the sun, or before bed to condition lips. Prefered color 'Plum' over 'Blush'.
I have mixed reviews about these sheer lip tints. I agree that the smell/taste/sensation of the EHC lip treatments is odd at first, but if you consider these a treatment rather than a cosmetic item then they are not bad. Blistex, Carmex etc. all have the same weird feel at first. After settling into that mindset - I don't mind the smell or taste at all. The product DOES make my lips feel great, moisturized etc. and I LOVE the colors...they go on much sheerer and prettier than the look in the display tubes. You need to try them on your lips and realize that they don't appear on the skin as they do in the tubes. I will repurchase.
I have them both in blush and honey. I like both shades. The blush one is a very sheer pretty pink and the honey one also suits my tanned skin.
It is very strange that the Blush one which came as a free sample in GWP is obviously more moisturising than the Honey one which I purchased normally. Feeling a bit being cheated. Is it usual that the sample product is often better than the full-size ones?
The scent is intolerable! I feel self-concious wearing it because it smells so medicinal.
