Disgusting is all I can say. The smell is alright, but doesn't have that typical lavender smell. After this product "sunk in" on my skin, it felt like I has a mask on, and that feeling does NOT go away through out the day. Hate it hate it hate it. The packaging is okay, I don't mind the jar but it can be a hassle. Won't be repurchasing!

I love this moisturizer. I have combination/sensitive skin and it works great in conjunction with the Avalon Organics lavender cleansing gel. It has a very thick creamy texture but doesn't clog my pores, and it really does calm my redness.

Holy freaking grail. I have combination skin, with easily-clogged pores in the T-zone and dry patches on the cheeks. This stuff is fantastic. I find it reasonably priced and very effective -- it's a very lightweight moisturizer that doesn't feel oily or sticky on the face. It absorbs quickly. This product keeps my skin moisturized for many hours after application and causes no problems under makeup.
At times I noticed a faint stinging upon application -- I have wondered if this is the hyaluronic acid that this product contains. Either way, it is not uncomfortable to me and it works so well that even if it were, I'd probably still use it. Comes in a jar, which some may not like. It took me forever to use mine up, and presently I need to repurchase. My favourite day-time moisturizer.

Wanted to love this product based on the rave reviews..however this gave my oily acne prone skin TONS of clogged pores and tiny little flesh colored bumps along my jawline! ..must have been all the essential oils or what not. Be careful if you have sensitive skin..if not it just make work for you..the smell is pleasant enough, that is why this deserves one lippie!

This is a very nice, lightweight, and benign moisturizer with a great natural fragrance. Love the organic ingredients. I have tried it all for my sensitive and acne-prone skin, from $100+ creams from La Prairie (waste of money) to cheap drugstore brands (way too harsh). I somehow stumbled across this one at my grocery store and for $15, decided to give it a try. It has never irritated my skin and has enough moisture for me, too. Wish it would come in a tube or a pump for better hygiene, ah well.

This is a brilliant moisturiser. I have sensitive skin but this calms the redness and no matter how much I slap on it doesn't give me any spots.

PROS: Light but moisturizing. Great for my oily/combo oily skin. Pretty reasonable price.

CONS: I don't love the lavender scent. Kind of smells like wet dog/medicine.. Some won't like that it comes in a jar (but I have clean hands when I apply, so I don't worry about that.)

ALTERNATES: They have a cream as well which is even more moisturizing. Dermo Expertise Hydra-Renewal Continuous Moisture Cream by L'oreal is good for lots of moisture (but not really anti-aging.) The following are all loved by me (I often alternate): Devita's Evening Rich Nutritional Moisturizer with Tripeptide- 5. L'Oreal's Age Perfect Night Cream in the blue jar. Dr. Lewinn by Kinerase's Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream.

I have oily ,acne prone skin and this product was AMAZING! I have tried every face cream you can think of. Everything makes me breakout. This is the ONLY moisturizer that hasnt caused ANY breakouts! That alone is a reason to buy. It hasnt had a positive or negative effect on my skin in other ways, but it is still worth buying!

I love this moisturizer, it's all natural and mostly organic, the price is reasonable and it smells like lavender (lavender is supposed to have anti-inflammatory &calming properties). My skin gets dry in the winter and this cream manages to keep it hydrated throughout the day. It has not broken me out but my skin is not particularly sensitive. I can't confirm its wrinkle fighting capabilities but I would definitely repurchase again because of the good price and the smooth feeling it leaves on the skin, it also works great on hands, elbows and other parts of the body prone to dryness. Avalon doesn't test on animals (thanks Avalon).

Wish I could give it more than five.
I've bought this many times. It's very reasonably priced, available in my supermarket (one less stop), comes in a simple, recyclable plastic jar, so no waste or difficulty in using it, and a jar lasts me about five months.
I have never felt any burning and it is absorbed quickly and no tacky or greasy residue. Goes on real easy. No breakouts or rash. The scent is subtle.
I won't be looking any further for a moisturizer.

This also stings my face a little when I put it on, but I like that slow burning heat on my face. I feel like it's doing something. It doesn't turn me red or blotchy, my face feels plumped and moisturized. I use this more as a night cream or in the day only on dry patches. I love the results and would buy again. I think the lavender might be helping with monthly flare ups along my chin and jawline so double plus!

I have oily and acne-prone skin and was hoping that the anti-bacterial properties of lavender could do my face some good. While this cream doesn't really break me out, it is a little too heavy to use on my face. So I've ditched it as a face cream and now use it as a hand cream instead. Unfortunately, it is not moisturising enough as a hand cream, but it's better than throwing this to waste ...

Having clogged prone-flakey skin, I purchased this becuase of the organic ingrediants, I heard lavender has antibactiral properties, so that would help with the clogged pores- Hylaronic acid to help moisturize, plus antioxodent grape seed to protect from free radicals. I have been using this daily for several weeks and am very happy with it. It isn't oily, hasn't clgged my pores, I think it's a great moisturizer for spring & summer, but I don't think it would be so great in the middle of winter when I am a lot drier. I have already bought a back up as it was on sale. Love the scent and love the tingle it gives me. Feels like something is working! continued >>

I was hoping this would have that sweet lavender scent, rather than the strong, spicy one, but it doesn't. I don't like the scent, it is way too strong.
I'm not really liking this. It doesn't moisturize well, and it stings when I put it on.
I was looking for an organic moisturizer, but this one isn't right for me.
hmmm... maybe I got a fake? I bought off ebay, and this cream is very light, not thick like many describe. It's not very moisturizing at all, either. After reading some of the other reviews, I'm thinking I may have been duped. I think I'm going to stop buying beauty items off ebay. Too many fakes.

Okay, I think I may have figured this out. This is the daily cream. There is also a night cream. Maybe the people who are saying it's thick & heavy are talking about the night cream?? Day creams are usually light, like this one (as a few describe) and night creams are typically heavier. Yes??? continued >>

Love this product!! I have been trying for years to find a moisturizer that did the job, but didn't cause a breakout. This really works. I started out using a normal amount of the cream on my face and got a few whiteheads, so what I started doing was applying a VERY small amount on my face and night by night, gradually increasing the amount of moisturizer that I was using. Worked like a charm!! Slowly work your way into this product and you will love it!!

So far I like this cream very much. I'm not going to say it's my HG because I've been using it for one week. I'm new on this market of organic products which are NOT tested on animals, and the market is growing so I might be buying something else next time, but if I wasn't so darn curious I might just stick with this one. Smell is a bit strong but if you like true lavander smell, you'll like it, just like I did. And besides, once you put it on your face you can't smell it anymore. It's kinda thick which is a big bonus for me cause I like all me creams that way and not watery or runny. It takes just the right amount of time to absorb, not too fast (when you wonder if you even put something on your face) and not too slow, just wait a couple of moments, enjoy the smell and you can put your makeup on. What I like BEST is how smooth it is; beautifully smooth, I find myself massaging my face for almost a minute, that how good it feels on your skin! If I do notice good things happening to my face, will buy it again for sure. But as I said, my face tolerates a lot of stuff so I like trying new things, when there is so much to be tried out! (:
Only downside is the fact I can't buy it in Croatia, so I have to pay 10$ just for shipping :(

i really love this. there is no fragrance in the product (really is terrible for your skin when there is an artificial fragrance- makes me break out when there is). it slightly tingles on my skin which i love... it feels refreshing. i don't have to use a lot of the product and it really moisturizes my dry skin. my only problem is that it is in a tub and therefor not the cleanest, but i can't imagine it in a tube bottle as it is kind of thick. i use it at night, not during the day because there is no spf. i also use the lavender toner by Avalon and i am glowing. for my face i use the body shop aloe cleanser - i use natural, non harsh products on my face and honestly my skin has never looked better.

UPDATE Glycerin seems to be an issue with my skin =(, so I've switched to Bee Yummy Skin Food, which doesn't have any. If you can use glycerin, this is a great moisturiser. Sadly, Bee Yummy costs about 4 times as much.

I'm reviewing this with the Lavender Cleansing Milk. Initially, when I bought this moisturiser, I hated it. It felt heavy. It stung (the cleansing milk stings, too). It seemed like it was clogging my pores. If I can use this stuff, anybody can. There is a tiny amount of dimethicone in it, but that doesn't seem to matter for those that suspect 'ones as clogging their pores. There's also hyaluronic acid, but that doesn't seem to hurt me either (actually that might be what stings, but I wouldn't want Avalon to change the formulation, ever!). What I found is that the stinging has no lasting effects. My face doesn't break out or turn red. Because I'm prone to Rosacea/perioral dermatitis I avoid its triggers: Petroleum products such as minerol oil (paraffinum liquidum), petrolatum & paraffin, SLS, isopropyl myristate (i avoid isopropyl anything & myristyl alcohol & myristyl myristate), cinnamon flavouring, fluoride & tartar control ingredients in toothpaste. This moisturiser has no parabens or any of my triggering ingredients. continued >>

This is one of the best afforable moisturizers for my skin out there! I have been using it for several weeks because I ran out of my good stuff and I'm on a budget now. It hasn't broken me out, NO irritation, keeps my skin soft and moisturized and NOT oily. God I just don't have anything bad to say. It smells great too. I pat it on very gently and it almost seems to calm my skin down! I notice pink/red areas sort of vanish (thank you lavender :) So I would def reccomend this! My moms started using it too and loves it :)
