I'm very impressed with this. I was looking for a bright red for summer, and almost bought Chanel's "Dragon," but stumbled across MAC's "Shirelle" and decided to give it a go. The formula is fantastic -- I only needed one coat, it dried extremely quickly and went on smoothly, with no clumps. It looks professionally done, and I have MAC to thank. Easy, beautiful, nice finish -- I couldn't have asked for more. I will definitely be purchasing more MAC nail polishes in the future!

UPDATE: After using this now several times, I'm a little disappointed. The application and color are wonderful, but it chips SUPER fast. Bummer.

I got this for Christmas, and it is extremely lovely! Two coats lasted me two weeks and barely chipped at all, with no topcoat. The color is gorgeous and I've gotten tons of compliments on it. I wish they made a sea foam color though, that would be even better. Will repurchase.

It lasts for a very long time. It also lasts on my nails for a long time. They come in many different colors, but I chose black. I have every MAC product made. MAC, clinique, and Bare Escenuals is my three favorite brands, oh yeah and the juicy tubes too fomr Lancome, but the MAc naiol polish barely chips,a nd it looks like a professional nail salon has done it. It has this shiny sheer to it.

I am, in general, nuts about MAC products. However, I have yet to buy one of their nail polishes and be crazy about it. My latest purchase is from the New Years' 2011 collection called "Soiree." A very shimmery reflective bronze/rose sort of color, I loved it when the SA put it on in the MAC store and then when I put it on after getting home it just left me cold. I manicure my own nails and do them about every other night. Use a variety of types of polishes, my favorite being OPI (cost & quality & colors can't be beat) and just don't feel like the MAC polishes are very good in terms of either color or consistency. They tend to either be too thick or thin and most of the ones I own don't seem to reflect the color I think they should by looking at them in the bottle. One thing good I can say - they are all eccentric and unique which I admire about all things MAC. Just have to keep hoping they get better with their colors and formulations. continued >>

I've splurged on a few MAC polishes (they used to be $9 but now are $13), and I've been disappointed everytime. I can't understand how they can't even get the damn brush right. But while some of the colors are downright dreamy (Peppermint Patti for example), the formula ALWAYS blows. PP was so streaky I threw it across the room. Well, the bottle didn't break, I guess that's saying something. WnW runs circles around MAC in the polish department, and they only charge 99 cents, plus their brushes aren't messed up.

I decided to buy Earthly Harmony from the MAC website because they were having a free shipping deal. First of all, it took FOUR days for my polish to even ship and then TEN days for it to arrive in the mail. That alone means I'm never buying from their website again.

Anyway, I was so impressed with the formula at first! The brush is really great, I could cover my nail in just two strokes and the polish was just the right thickness. It also dried amazingly fast. So I really had my hopes up.

Unfortunately the color in the bottle is nothing like the color that transfers to your nails...there is pretty much no shimmer and it's a lot greyer than it looks. But it's still a beautiful neutral that I can see wearing all fall...except.

I've had it on my nails for just over 24 hours and there is already one big chip on my pointer finger and a good amount of tip wear.

Now I am a huge fan of Essie polishes which retail for $8 for half an ounce. MAC polishes are $13 for .34oz. So I really expected this polish to be about twice as good as Essie polishes which I normally wear for 7+ days at a time.

I would probably buy again if the color was right and I was at a MAC store (which is not likely to happen as i've only been in one two or three times lol), but otherwise i'll stick to the cheaper better alternatives.

i have a new obsession and it is MAC nail polishes. i can't stop buying them. i'll try to make this short and sweet.

CONS: they chip! very easily. i find the base coat and top coat by MAC helps the colors stay on longer. they are also pretty pricey and it took me a long time to shell out the cash for even one, let alone the 15 or so i have now. also, sometimes it takes a lot of coats to get it the way it looks in the bottle...a few of the colors i bought i was kind of disappointed by because they didn't show up as well as i had hoped.

PROS: i am hopelessly impatient when it comes to doing my nails, and i can't seem to maintain the attention span it takes to do base coat, color coat, color coat, top coat and wait for all that to dry. usually i fail and end up messing up several of my nails. MAC nail polishes dry SO FAST! that is what made me fall in love. by the time i'm done with my left hand, my right hand is dry. they're easy to apply and i don't even mind putting several coats on because they dry so quickly. i don't even mind the chipping...once they chip i can change the color, because it only takes me like a half hour to do my nails from start to finish! i don't mind shelling out cash if it saves me time and frustration. love <3

I was so happy to find a metallic olive color. Thanks MAC!

I was pissed, however, to have spent so much and to have chipped nails (despite the application of a pretty strong top coat) two days later.

Great colors. Not-so-great quality.

I had to take time an review Mac nail polish for the second time.I had put Mac on the back shelf after trying OPI.I was getting tired of the same old colors Mac carried.Had the same problem with OPI(I'm very particular, picky you might say about what I wear on my nails) Recently I found an old bottle of Mac Abstract in a bag thats been in my closet untouched for about a year,I tried the Abstract, thought for sure it would be completely dried out and I could not believe it was just as if I just opened the bottle.Love the consistency of Mac polish and the color Abstract is nice for me.Love the bottle and brush, much easier to apply than OPI.Took off one lippie for the price..still think 11 bucks is way too much, but I will continue to repurchase,it dries quicky and I only need 2 coats.
