It doesn't remove makeup at all... Soothes? yes... It is fair to say not to expect much from something below 3$ ... My review is just based on my experience, not so much thrashing it down this is just what it did... It didn't remove any make up as I already stated, left residue that was really hard to wash off like putting oil on my face. My face isn't shy to state what it doesn't like and so the next morning after using this I woke up to some irritation... However I did notice my face looked brighter using this. It does brighten up my skin but the irritation isn't worth it. This product reminds me a lot of Ponds Cold Cream (shutters) but not as heavy...I wouldn't recommend if you have acne prone sensitive skin, like me.

Okay, first off. I have been reading some of the reviews here and for goodness sake people, this product is under $3!!! I don't get why some are expecting this to remove all their face makeup. Usually products that claim to do more than one thing, will most likely do just an "ok" job at best lol. Anyways... on to my review. I use this for 2 things. 1) to remove "residual" makeup from my face. I don't use this as an initial step to remove my face makeup. I find it does any excellent job in removing the remaining makeup that i might still have after using my makeup wipes. 2) I use this in the shower every morning when i wake up to wash my face. I love how it doesn't dry my face and keeps it nice and moisturized. I definitely would rebuy when i run out.
For reference: I have sensitive, combo, acne prone skin.

I love this stuff. I have naturally combination skin that was usually oily and dry but I keep it under control partially because of this product. I wear Almay TLC liquid foundation, the matching powder, non-waterproof mascara and non-waterproof eyeshadow. The toughest makeup I have to remove is Prestige total intensity waterproof liner occasionally, and this stuff does. I splash water on my face before using it and then use this stuff as gently as possible. Doesn't hurt my skin and gets everything off, maybe use it twice for the waterproof. If you dampen first, it will get everything off if you wipe with a gentle towel. I love it, the texture is like a lotion and it gets everything off while moisturizing without breaking me out. It cost me about 2.75$ at Walmart and I'll repurchase it for the third time soon. I only use about a dimes worth every time so it lasts forever

If you are looking for a makeup remover, this is not the one for you.
This doesn't remove makeup at all. It removes about 30% of it and its oils form a layer OVER the rest, you can actually use your fingernails and dig of the makeup and residue.
I probably wont buy this product again even though I have found use for it as a hydrating mask or whatever. I have dehydrated skin so all the hydration is welcome. I leave it on for 10 minutes or so then rinse off. I like the feeling of it on my skin after washing it off - very hydrated with a layer of oil, but its not GREASY.
I will update if I repurchase this product for how I use it.

I liked this. I would never use it alone because honestly, it doesn't really take makeup off and it leaves my skin a little filmy. BUT I do love using this as my clarisonic cleanser! I'm nervous to try the clarisonic cleanser because I just get very wary of new products on my skin because I'm terrified of my perfect skin breaking out! But anyway this cleanser does an awesome job when used with the clarisonic. It removes all makeup and it helps the brush on the clarisonic not really feel as rough. It always leaves my skin very soft and smooth. I re-buy just for that purpose though.

This does not remove much makeup. I find this cleanser would be best for people who wear very minimal to no makeup at all and with normal skin who just need a face cleanser. I have dry skin and while this didn't dry out my skin, it didn't leave it feeling moisturized either.

creamy, washes off easily without the overly greasy feel, unfortunately it does not remove waterproof/fiber mascara at all. I use a second facial wash after I use this product to avoid clogged pores.

I really wanted to like this because I love the creamy texture it has. It also has a very pleasant smell although the ingredients list says theres no fragrance, I think its the chamomile in it.
Im pretty sure this product clogged my pores really bad and made my skin feel really rough and flaky after about a week and my acne got worse so I had to stop using it. I will probably just throw it out since it was so cheap anyways and I dont have to feel obliged to use it up.

this is a great cleanser and makeup remover. i use a damp washcloth or a tissue to remove my makeup first. sometimes i have to do 2 applications depending on how much makeup i have on( its alright to use a lot since it doesn't cost much). i just never use it to remove eye makeup because once i tried it stung my eyes. other than that it removes everything else very well. i use this before St. Ives Apricot scrub about 3x a week and i have to say they complement each other! overall, this is a great product for normal skin and its such a pleasure to use because i don't have to worry that i might use it up too fast since its inexpensive and available in almost any drugstore.

This stuff is total crap in my opinion. The only good thing about this cleanser is it made my skin soft. It does a horrible job at removing makeup!!! It smells like beer!! Smell usually doesn't both me. But this product stinks and doesn't work!!!

HG. Love this stuff! I'd been looking for a greener version of cold cream/cream cleanser without so many harmful ingredients and for the money, this is it!
It's barely scented, and the scent is very natural, sort of grassy. The texture is awesome - a pretty thick, super smooth cream that's not greasy. After I wash it off, my skin feels slightly moisturized, but there's not a layer of grease like with cold cream. It's like a more natural, unscented version of Pond's Cucumber cream cleanser, which I also use to use and love.
No pore clogging at all with this product, and I'm on my fifth tube of it. The packaging is another plus - the spout is well-designed, so it stays clean and since it's a tube you can use it all up and not have any waste like with pump containers.
The price can't be beat - my only small issue is the mineral oil. I also love the new Yes to Carrots Nourishing Cream Cleanser and will probably end up alternating these - the Carrots doesn't have mineral oil, which is nice.
Edit 1/2/11: I almost switched to regular cold cream because of dry winter skin, but instead started leaving this on my skin for about a minute before scrubbing and rinsing. Voila, dry skin gone! Love that I can use this year round.

I did not like this. I bought this as a makeup remover/facial cleanser (just as the name says), and I intended to use this on its own. This did not remove my makeup, had no lather - which I think is important in a cleanser so it can dissolve dirt and makeup. It seemed to just smear my makeup around, and for me to get all of my eye makeup off, I had to use my towel and wipe my eyes several times, or use another cleanser. The only plus to this is that it is cheap, otherwise this would have gotten a 1 from me. I am going to try and use what I have left, but I will not be purchasing again.

I love this product so much and it's the hardest to find. In fact they don't sell it at any pharmacy around me. I always have to order it from amazon. I love that its creamy and I use it with a cotton pad instead of water. It gets my make up off and moisturizes at the same time.

This does remove makeup really well, but I've always washed my face with a different cleanser after using it, so I can't comment on how clean it makes my skin feel. I don't remember it having much of a smell, and the texture is very smooth and creamy. It even removed waterproof mascara without leaving dark mascara rings under my eyes. While I certainly like this product, I won't repurchase because I just use olive oil to remove my makeup now.

I love this cleanser. It does a great job of removing waterproof mascara and liner. Of all the cleansers purported to remove makeup that I have tried, this one gets the most eye makeup off. Next, it has a nice consistency. It is a cream cleanser with no lather. It also has a very nice smell, just like chamomile. This cleanser does not irritate my skin like many cleansers do. It leaves my skin feeling very soft and fresh. The thing that sets this cleanser apart from other non-foaming creams that I have liked (Cliniqe and Estee Lauder mostly) is that it costs $1.99 for a big tube. You can just smooth on a ton without feeling like you're wasting product.

This product was okay. I used to use the Clinque Foaming Cleanser to remove my make-up but I needed a cheaper alternative, so I decided to try this one.
I barely dont wear much makeup, just tinted moisturiser, powder, but I wear A LOT of mascara, and this cleanser does take everything away except for the mascara!
Good thing about it is that it is very creamy and rich, and it is very soothing. And after you wash it off your skin is smooth and soft, but for me, my skin looks clean but doesnt feel clean, i have to use my avene facial gel and the clinque mild face wash to feel it clean.

This didn't work well for me. It seemed to clog my pores and didn't remove my eye makeup well. Might have to use it for shaving or put it up for swap.

I just finished this. Picked it up b/c the packaging was cute and I was in a hurry. It's supposed to remove makeup...it does not. I guess the only pro was that is was super creamy for the winter months. I always followed with another cleanser or a toner. If you were just depending on this to remove everything you are up a creek. Skip it and get something worth your while.

I bought this cleanser because my Olay Age Defying Renewal Cleanser was running out. Thinking this would be as great as their Apricot Scrub but on the gentler side, I went ahead and purchased it. I tried it out that night and was satisfied with it getting most of my make up off. It was really gentle and about the same consistency as my old cleanser. However, it had the WORST SMELL IN THE WORLD! I did not like that at all. I was really surprised by that, especially coming from St. Ives. I've always been a fan but after this, I'm not so sure anymore. I have only used it once and wouldn't dare put that smelly thing on my face again so I'll have to find some way to get rid of it -_____-

i dont care for this at all. it definitely does not remove all my makeup [i dont wear foundation or powder. just blush and eye products], i always still have eyeliner and mascara under my eyes . i tried doing it when my face was wet AND before it was wet. doesnt make a difference. and the reason i bought it in the first place was to clean my face and take my makeup off with ease and less steps. using this as others said to do by repeatly putting back on my face in different ways doesnt make this a good product. its gentle sure, but it doesnt do what it says. i dont care for the formula either, but thats just my preference because i prefer my facial cleanser to have some kind of scrubbers in them to get rid of dirt and dead skin, not creamy, as what this is. its gentle and doesnt smell bad, but i wouldnt get it again. i dont even think it cleans thoroughly.
