I didnt really mind this lotion.. it is rather light feeling, smells incredible IMO.. but my skin just did not like this product line too much, with the exception of the cleanser. Mind you, my skin reacted more to the toner than to the lotion, but I figure if I use it as the system again, I will be just asking for a flare up, hardly the results I am looking for. So I will not be buying this again.

I purchased this for about 10US and I was looking for a product to replace my ROC Purif AC when my skin was acting up a bit. Me-dry acneic, somewhat sensitive skin, early 30's. Aloepure Clarifying Moisture Balance is a great, basic moisturizer with AHA/BHA. Leaves my skin soft, does not irritate and helps with breakouts pre and post. My first Aloette product and I am impressed. The moisturizer itself is light, nice citrus(orangey) scent without SPF and does not interfere with my current acne treatments(Diacneal/Effaclar-K).

I just started using this, and so far I am very impressed. I have really enjoyed most of the Aloette products that I have used. This is an alpha and beta hydroxy acid complex, though Paula Begoun states in her review that the ph isn't low enough to actually exfoliate your skin.

I have oily/combination skin and have used many high and low range products, including Paula's.
Not only does this have a wonderful, light, fresh scent, but it also feels the same way. I know Paula says it doesn't exfoliate (the way an alpha/beta hydroxy acid should) but it certainly is doing something to make my skin feel balanced and matte, but not that chalky kind of matte that you get from A LOT of products. I have to say that this is one of the only moisturizers I have used where my skin does not build up with oil shortly after use. (and I include Paula's Choice products in the ones that HAVE caused this). Despite all of this, I am still searching for a different 'moisturizer' for my oily skin - because it didn't seem to 'improve' my skin, really (pores are the same large size and skin tone is the same).
Retails for $19 Canadian.

This is a lovely moisturizer. I use this mainly on my hands, chest, neck, arms, and shoulders because I have other moisturizers that I prefer for the face. This Clarifying Moisture Balance is part of the 'Simply Clear' collection and smells as fruity and delicious as the other items within the kit. Its fragrance is that of orange creme sherbert...so delectable. The texture of this stuff is light and creamy and absorbs quite readily. It leaves its beautiful scent on the skin along with the nurturing ingredients that are healthy and beneficial to the skin (i.e. AHAs/BHAs, vitamins). My skin feels soft, supple, and a bit satiny after applying this. I like this stuff a lot and trust that my skin is receiving optimal benefits from its nourishing ingredients.

I love this moisturizer. I use it at night because it does not have any SPF, but it works wonders. It is mineral oil-free, but it contains some grapefruit and other fruit oils, which gives it a refreshing citrus scent as well. It contains some AHAs and BHAs, but nothing irritating. It is not greasy, absorbs well, and leaves my skin soft and treats my acne at night. I have combo/oily skin and I love this. About $12.
