When I first bought this, I read a lot of reviews about this and they were all positive so I decided to give this a shot (as well as the whole "Simply Clear" Package) but it was a disappointment. Although it smelled really good, it didn't do anything for my skin. It didn't get rid of my acne or clear up my skin at all. It didn't improve the texture of my skin or basically do anything to help my skin. What they did for packaging was put all the products in a bag and placed it in a box surrounded by bubble wrap all around and for the glass type products, they wrapped it in bubble wrap as well and placed it in the bag. Wasn't that good but didn't ruin any of the products.
.
As far as customer service and delivery, it was very confusing. Customer service kept telling us that we will not receive the package because their machines were down so they couldn't receive credit card information or anything like that. When they did get it fixed, I was not informed and thought I would never get the package. By the time I did get it, it was about 2 months after and I wasn't very enthusiastic in trying the products anymore because I was already on another skin care line. I wasn't very surprised in bad customer service because almost 90% of reviews I read said service was bad.

I started uing this because my friends was a rep for Aloette. I actually love this product I have been using DDF for years and this face wash has the same consistency as it. The whole simply clear sets cost like $70 and a bottle of DDF acne wash cost about the same. I gave it a three on price because I have used other over the counter acne washes that clears my face, however this stuff really doesn't dry out your skin which can make the acne worst.

I really don't mind this facial wash.. the beads gently exfoliate and in general, it is not too harsh. I could ( and have) easily used it 2-3 times a day and it has never dried out my skin. I bought this with the toner, lotion and treatment as a package through a representative. ( 62 dollars I think? canadian..) I would possibly buy just the cleanser, but really, there are other cleansers that work just as well as this one, and I could grab them at the nearest pharmacy. my only real beef with this cleanser is that the "beads" ( jojoba beads) can get caught and stuck if you have any fine facial hair.. ( which unfortunately for me,I do have near my actual hair line.. baby fine and hardly noticable, until you get these little white beads stuck in the hair.. lol)
So overall, not a bad cleanser if you like ordering stuff. hee hee.. but i probably will not re purchase,

Great general cleanser for oily, acne prone skin. It leaves no residue and the little beads help exfoliate. I like to use this in the morning to wake up (the citrusy scent is good for that as well). Just be sure to keep it away from any areas that become irritated. Like most cleansers for acne prone skin, this really stings on irritated or very dry spots.

I have to say that after all the good things I have read about this product, I am quite disappointed. I have been using the whole clear skin line from Aloette and my skin is looking pretty bad. It's been almost two months and I thought things should be better by now, but it just keeps getting worse. The price is outrageous and the hype is all it is. I will never buy this product again.

I've been using this for a few days and it is great. My skin actually feels clean after using it, but not dry or stripped.
Aloette claims:
"Feel the difference immediately as your skin is gently cleansed with this special alpha and beta hydroxy acid complex and jojoba beads. Exfoliates surface skin cells and promotes clearing. Natural moisturizers leave the skin soft and glowing."
This product actually lives up to the claim. I have oilier skin, and this cleanser feels really good on it. The beads may be abrasive for those with sensitive skin.
Wonderful scent as well, light and citrusy. I have used MANY cleansers, both low range and prestige, and this is one that I highly recommend.

I thought this product was going to be good but I started breaking out worse than ever. I have combo/oily skin with occasional breakouts and this cleanser made my skin terrible. i broke out with tiny little zits and it took me weeks to recover from this cleanser. i switched to korres natural products and now my skin is finally clearing up.

Delectable! This stuff delivers! It is actually 'fun' and a pleasant experience to wash with this stuff in spite of the fact it's typically advertised for problem or acne-prone skin (that is my skin type, by the way). The little beads make for a nice gentle exfoliant and that wonderful smell...it is soooo Aloette! After washing with this stuff, my face feels, looks, and 'smells' super clean! No oily residue, no overdryness, no problems! Just soft, clean, glowing skin. I ordered this out of desperation during a really bad facial breakout...I was reluctant to use it at first thinking that the beautiful smell of it was a result of too many harsh, artifical ingredients and that it might make my condition worse. Boy was I wrong! After many uses, I have found it to be significantly instrumental in clearing up my acne and helping me to keep a smile on my face from the resulting clarified complexion. I find you only need so very little of this per application...a little of this goes a very long way. I even bought the entire 'Simply Clear' collection in which this clarifying wash is included...all of the products in it are highly noteworthy as far as fragrance and effectiveness. I also use this wash even when I do not have acne breakouts. I just love it!

I have had acne-prone skin all my life and even used Retin-A and Accutane during my teenage years. My friend made me try her new Aloette Skin Care and I was very skeptical but became immediately hooked! After using it one night before bed and then again the next morning, ALL my co-workers separately commented on how great I looked that next day! No exaggeration. I did have to tweak my regimen though. I finally figured out what combination of all their great products works to perfection for me! I will never let myself run out!!!
EVERY Night: Essential Cleansing Oil (on eyes only)
Simply Clear Clarifying Facial Wash
Simply Clear Acne Treatment Lotion
Time Repair Serum (on eyes only even though it says not to)
EVERY Morning: Gentle Foaming Cleanser
Simply Clear Clarifying Deep Action Toner
Simply Clear Acne Treatment Lotion (on problem-prone areas only)
Nutri-Hydrating Mist
Time Repair Serum
Nutri-Moisture Lotion
Once weekly: (NOT on the same day!!!!!)
Restorative Enzyme Peel
Multi-Action Scrub
This regimen has had me pimple-free and flake-free for 3 months counting now.
It is a combination of the regular Skin Care line and their Simply Clear line for acne-prone skin. I'm right in the middle and one or the other is too extreme for me. I've been using Aloette for over 1 1/2 years now and will NEVER stop. I've converted my mother who was a die-hard Mary Kay user for 30 years and 2 of my best friends, die-hard Clinique girls! Every woman owes it to herself to try this stuff, especially for problem skin! I can't say how much I love it! I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a pretty good cleanser. A bit similiar to Neutrogena's Pore Refining cleanser, but this one foams a bit and is not as creamy, and the exfoliants are gentler (more gentle?). anyway, I like that it foams a little and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft, and I haven't broken out from this yet, and it has helped my face stay clear. It has both AHAs and BHAs and is a new skincare line fom Aloette. About $12 I think, and is not oil-free.
