This is a great warm coral blush from NARS. It does have a shimmer to it but I can hardly tell once applied and blended out. I'm more of a bronzer-only girl, but when I feel like a look needs blush, this is usually the one I reach for.
This shade has great pigmentation. A light dab of the product per cheek is definitely enough. Torrid looks amazing on tanned skin and is my go-to blush during summer. However, I notice that this is not all that long-lasting. After about 3 hours in school, I looked in the mirror and could hardly tell I was wearing any cheek colour. I had set it with MAC Prep and Prime Finishing Powder immediately after application.
Gorgeous colour and pigmentation, I just wish it lasted longer on my skin.

I was torn between buying this and Gilda. Unfortunately, I'd have to go to Neiman Marcus to swatch Gilda or buy it online and deal with the hassle of a return. I read that these two are very close and that the only difference was the shimmer. I'm really glad I went with this-- the shimmer particles blend in very well once applied, and it imparts a beautiful glow rather than creating a disco ball effect. There's something about it that gives the face warmth and dimension that I'm not sure I could have achieved with Gilda. It's one of those things that can make you put together but not made up (if you use a light hand, obviously). For reference, I'm NC35. Tanned girls need to get this!

Depending on which brush I use, this can go very orange. But with a light hand it comes out a really nice peachy flush, which definitely makes my winter-pasty face look much healthier. Far better than Orgasm or Deep Throat, which were both too cool/blue to ever work for me.

I absolutely love this blush. It blends so well and looks very delicate with the tiny bronze flecks in it. I use a regular bamboo Ecotools blush brush to apply, and a tissue to blot off any excess colour. The result is my favourite cosmetic, a must for any occasion. It's pricey but does not compare to any other brand from a drug store. I would recommend this shade for naturally tanned women who wish to achieve that sweet, sophisticated look with very little effort. I will definitely buy this shade again.

I adore Nars blushes. I have sin, orgasm, luster and deep throat. That being said, I hated this one. For some reason, it just looked off. It was much harder to apply naturally & smoothly than the other colors i have. The color was ok overall, but I'm definitely returning and going back to deep throat. continued >>

I've finally come around to NARS blushes having dismissed them a decade ago after the Orgasm hype. Orgasm never worked for me, but a lot of the other colors in this line do. I wish I'd discovered that before the price shot up to $27 a pop, though. Geez.
It's money well spent, though. I've bought and tossed numerous blushes because they look chalky, clownish, don't blend, or because the color isn't quite right. There's something about NARS, though, that once you find the right shade, look incredibly sophisticated and natural at the same time - and they blend and build like a dream.
I have Torrid, Sin, and Mata Hari and am anxiously awaiting for Deep Throat to arrive in the mail. I'm fair skinned and was hoping Torrid would read as a coral on me. It doesn't, but I love it nonetheless.
On me, the red undertones are fairly pronounced and it looks like an orangey-reddish bronze. I realize this sounds really unattractive but it's gorgeous on and kind of hard to describe. It's lovely with a bronzed eye.
While it's very pigmented, I don't find I have to tread lightly like I do with other NARS blushes. I use a fan brush to put Sin & Mata Hari on but use a regular blush brush with Torrid.
Bottom line: this color can work with lots of skintones. If you're fair, don't fear! continued >>

I was hoping that I'd get a color that's just a little deeper than NARS Orgasm. That's how it looked light under the store lighting. In natural light, it looks too dark for my taste. I just want a healthy looking flush without the shimmer of Orgasm. Anyway, this is too expensive to let go to waste so I still use it but with a light hand.

This blush leans towards a warmer color of coral with golden shimmer. I'm a medium skintone woman with yellow undertones and this NARS blush suits me well. It's a splurge to purchase but the color is highly pigmented (the same goes for every NARS blushes) so it would take a long time for you to hit the bottom of the makeup pan. A little goes a long way, or else you'll end up looking like a clown. Overall, I would totally repurchase this product again.

Torrid seems to go a bit orange on me, and also looks very unnatural. Its not too bad, but its a look I dont care for and therefore this was a waste of money for me. I prefer coral colors from MAC or Benefit which I dont have this problem with.

My first NARS product and I'm really happy. This is a beautiful deep coral pink shade. I've heard it looks amazing on girls with darker skin, and although I have fair skin (Armani Face Fabric in 1, Chanel B20) I love this shade as a nice, vibrant alternative. This is a really pigmented blush so you only need a touch to get a lot of color. Definitely love this blush and will definitely have me going back to NARS.

Very pigmented. This worked well when i was tan over summer, but even then I had to be very very light with it. I ended up changing to Deep Throat for a slightly more peach pink rather than pink look.

This is my FAVORITE blush by NARS. Looks great on my NC44 skin. Gives me that perfect rosy flush. Not as pigmented as some of their blushes which I like because I can build the color on depending on how I want it to look.On a day to day basis I use one or two layers and it's a barely there sheer flush of color. If I'm going out I can add a little more product and it looks a lot more pigmented and pinky. I sometimes layer this with Luster for a more golden baked look. Not shimmery or OTT at all. Perfect for day to day use. Goes on very smoothly and lasts at least 5-6 hours before I have to reapply. Definitely my HG blush.

This blush was my first nars blush. I bought the torrid/albatross duo <3. Torrid is stunning on my NC44 skin. It gives a great coral/ peachy flush that looks sooo natural especially when I use the Nars Yachiyo brush. I heard that it's the "Orgasm" for women of colour. I haven't tried orgasm but based on swatches, torrid seems similar but darker. HG for sure continued >>

UPDATE 19 oct 2011: The lasting power of this blusher is very lacking. I have long school days and when I look into the mirror four hours into my school day, the blush has faded by 40%. At the end of the day it is not visible at all. I prefer cream and gel blushers over this. I will not repurchase.
What a great blush for warmer skintones!! It is extremely pigmented so a little tap on the powder gives me enough to brighten my NC25 summer skin. At the rate I use this, I do not see myself finishing this compact! But I will definitely repurchase if it happens--although I doubt if it would already be discontinued. Great when paired with Albatross highlighter on the cheekbones with a neutral look. I like to pair Clarins' abricot colored lipbalm with this for a fresh summer look.

This is my everyday blush. It's pretty pigmented, so you only need a little for a pretty peachy glow. I've had mine for nearly a year, and I've barely made a dent in it! It's a commitment because it lasts so long, but it's great quality and definitely worth the money.

Torrid is a great summer color, giving you a peachy glow with a little bit of golden shimmer. The NARS blushes are super pigmented, so use sparingly!

I'm addicted to nars blushes and seem to get suckered into buying them whenever I notice a new color. Torrid is a shimmery coral color leaning more towards the peachy pink side think of it almost as a shimmery gilda but not as bright and dark. Torrid is the blush I reach for when I want the simple day to day look-work, school, anything where I want to look nice but not so made-up.

This is a nice blush to have. On my cool tone and dark complexion, there isn't color pigmentation unless you really pile it on. But this is a good blush to wear in the daytime or at work. Not a fan of the shimmer since unless I use a primer or moisturizer that reduce the appearance of large pores, hence I don't wear it much. This blush may seem expensive but it is pretty much in line with many other blushes sold in department stores and it last a long time. I would recommend this to someone who is just trying blush for the first time and is scared to wear it because they are afraid that they would look like a clown.

I am ecstatic that I discovered this blush! I was absolutely smitten by Orgasm when I discovered it. It's still a favourite. But Torrid is quickly-becoming my go-to. It's oh so flattering on me. I have an olive/tan skin tone. I have to use it with a much lighter hand than when I apply Orgasm. Both are extremely pigmented, yes - but Torrid applies a darker peachy glow for me whereas Orgasm is more a lighter pinky flush. Both are amazing in their own ways and provide a different look to my cheeks. : )
