I've been using it two times daily for two weeks. I didn't notice any improvement so far. I didn't notice any changes in the texture of ma skin, tone of my skin , nothing. The reason I bought it is because it contains retinyl, but later I found out that it is not exactly as retinol and it doesn't benefit your skin as much as retinol. However I bought it cheap (12.99$) at Marshals and do not regret that much. The good thing that it is not greasy, and absorbs fast on my skin

This product has a horrible chemical smell . It's really strong, not for sensitive noses, but it seem to fade away in a couple of minutes.

The bottle is the same as " let there be light" - pump bottle.

Just read one of the reviews saying it smells lovely. Is it a joke or I got a smelly one. It smells like chemicals!

I love love love this product! At first I was a little confused about what exactly it was supposed to do. It had listed "retinyl complex" in the description on the box, but I'm still not sure if it actually contains retinol. (I thought the retinyl complex might be something completely different from retinol, they just might want you to think they're talking about retinol. That's how advertising works!) I don't see retinol in the ingredient list. But regardless, it does work really well!! I've been using it as a primer every morning and my cystic acne is clearing up and my skin tone is improving. And I've only been using it for about a week! The only thing I don't like is that so little comes out with one pump. I have to use 3-4 pumps to get a thin layer all over my face. Try this!!!

I feel like I'm always the one to rain on the parade =
I reeeally wanted this to work for me considering the good reviews. Unfortunately, this made me break out HORRIBLY :(
In addition to making me break out, I HATED the awful cosmetic-y smell that I endured every time that I spread it onto my face.

This is NOT for people with sensitive skin.

Nice packaging and a great price at Marshalls, but when i put it on my face it just made me look greasy and oily. The smell was a weird chemically stink too -- yucky. Dont think this is going to work for me... too bad since i wanted to like it.

Been using this for two months, thats how I use product to give it time to take effect. Right now, my skin tone improved quite a bit.. More even and tone. I use this after cleansing and before my moisturizer. This shouldnt be used as a moisturizer anyway! this is a treatment people!

My sister got us all started on this product way back around 1997. I forgot about it and then I saw it at marshall's so decided to give it another try. WOW. I think it even works better now that I am a little older and need some skin refining. It makes my skin look really clear, has toned down the red and gives an overall smooth appearance. I've been using it consistently the last month and my skin looks so much better-yay! I am going to stash some bottles when I find them cheap at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. I noticed this product is not carried in the Arden line at Ulta anymore nor can it be found on Arden website. Update: 1/2011-I have continued to use this product and I think it is so great for slightly older skin. I went to Space NK and the girl asked what I use on my skin. Maybe it was just a conversation segue but honestly, I have few wrinkles, clear skin and it looks plump. Be careful to use a sunscreen/sunblock with this or any exfoliator. I still love this product and hope I can always find this somewhere! Still available at TJ Maxx/Marshalls for now. It doesn't look like anything except a fairly thin white lotion but it does wonders!!!!!

Got this pretty cheap at Marshalls like 9.99. I was using it for a while then realized it is meant to be used with moisturizer not as one. I really liked the color though- it is a lovely shimmer. Now I use a little on areas I want to highlight when I go out or something. I will probably use the rest then just use a powder mineral highlighter (Glo Minerals) which I have found to give the same shimmer effect without the chemicals.

I love this stuff. It is the perfect texture for my skin, which is neither oily or dry. I like to use it as a makeup touch up during the day, it just sort of refreshing. Got mine on ebay at a bargain, nut I would pay full price if I had to.

Skin Illuminating Complex has a wonderful silky texture that will be light enough for oily skin areas, but allow layering of another moisturizer on drier areas. I love it for that reason, I feel like it gives my other treatments a boost.

It didn't however, make my pores look smaller, but it does make my skin look and feel good. The price is high so I will only buy when I see it at TJ Maxx (they sometimes have Arden skincare for a fraction of the dept. stores).

Another winner from arden - well packaged, effective and the best retinol based serum ever- the texture is just right- not silicon laden and neither its runny. The bottle lasts a lifetime and it really helped clear my skin of its discoloration - one just neeeds to be patient for about three weeks though . great buy and so effective . I'm going for my second bottle soon.
