I have combination skin with a huge pore problem ! Almost all moisturisers make the pores look big and dirty. So i tried this lotion and it works, the skin looks quite fresh almost all day. Ealier i used to have oily areas ( T zone problem) , but this helps here. It stuffs a bit pores, but it is good. I think i will use it in the future, too. The skin doesnt look oily after few hours from cleansing. It keeps clean almost all day or at least till afternoon.

I have combination skin, proned to breakout and I LOVE this moisturiser. It's very light and when it has completely absorbed in the skin you barely notice that it's there. I'm on my 6th bottle now. It's probably the best non greasy moisturiser I've used and it's cheaper than other light weight moisturisers from Estee Lauder and Lancome (Australian prices). The only thing that annoys me about this is the packaging. It's in an ugly green bottle and it's hard to remove the remaining lotion once the bottle gets close to being empty. I use this during the day then apply the Clairns UV SPF 30 sunscreen and my skin does not feel heavy or greasy.

This is one very confusing product. It was extremely oily for me but this is met for acne-prone skin so I dont know what to say. It works for some but not all.

This product is ok. It is very light and it smells lovely. It does not feel moisturizing but it doesnt leave my combi skin dry either; it does however give a really nice sensation to my skin. It does not clog pores or give me a matte finish - :) i prefer a face moisturizer that has a thicker consistency than this as i like to massage the cream into my skin. i've tried numerous face creams/lotion and this one is my least favorite. i would say this is only good for those with oily or extremely oily skin. I have combo skin so it didnt work out for me.

This moisturizer is not bad but not amazing either. It moisturizes pretty well and my skin doesn't become very oily with it. But I'd say that for the little amount you get this product come off quite expensive, mostly if you have a tight budget.
In terms of packaging, I have to say I love the pump!
The smell is not that strong, I find it quite nice and it goes away fairy quickly.
I find this moisturizer to be okay, but I wouldn't repurchase this product again, because you can probably get the same results with other moisturizers that are much cheaper.

I like the smell, it doesn't clog the pores or roll up like Clinique DDML. Moisturizing and matifying are also fine for me, and it's a good base for my daily makeup. Will buy again.

This product comes in a handy pump bottle, big plus for the pump. On the downside, the bottle is very small, it only contains 50 ml. I need about three dots of cream to cover my whole face, add that I use the cream every day morning and evening, and consider that it's quite pricey.
At first I didn't like the smell (it actually smells grassy like another reviewer wrote), although the smell quickly disappears. The cream has a cooling effect. It doesn't make my skin breakout. I can't say it tightens my pores, but it manages quite well to make my nose less oily..and my mineral foundation works well together with this product.
I don't know if I will keep repurchasing this product when the climate gets colder, but for now it works well.

It has a light grassy smell and it really bothered me. Also it didn't mattify my skin very well or the effect didn't last too long. It didn't moisturize that well either so i can't resommed.

I was in search of a mattifying lotion and happened to fall upon this product. i wouldnt say that it is very mattifying buut, it is very moisturizing for my combination skin. I feel as though its way of working isn't through taking out the excess oil from your skin, but more of a keeping it moisturized so your skin doesn't need to secrete more oil. i wouldnt say it works wonders, but my skin seems to enjoy it so i'll stick with this product until i find a better one.

i've used two bottles of this product. I think it's an average product, nothing amazing, but it does its work, also it dosn't break me out. But it's a little pricy, and run out really quickly. Therefore, I think I would like to looking for other product for my next face lotion. I would purchase it if I don't know what I should buy, since it's at least safe to my skin.

SA gave me a sample of this while browsing for a mattifying moisturizer.. anyways, it didn't help to control my oily skin.. well, it actually made it oiler, pores are bigger and i think i have irritation to it.. i broke out a little.. i was so disappointed.. .. i'm glad i didn't but the whole bottle..

Great moisturizer! I tend to have oily/combo skin, and this helps balance me out throughout the day. My skin tends to break out very easily, and by the end of the day, I'm typically super greasy. This moisturizer is very light and does not make my skin oily or break out. LOVE IT!

I love this moisturizer. The Clarin's SA told me it's actually a treatment for combination skin. Once your skin is back into normal mode, you should switch to a regular moisturizer for normal skin. I have to say, what the SA said was true. I originally had combination skin (oily T-Zone, dry cheeks, lots of oil in the middle of the day) but once I started using the Hydra Matte Lotion, I could go the whole work day without a ton of oil on my forehead and nose. Around 4pm'ish is when I would need to start blotting my face, which is pretty amazing for me.
After a year and a half of using this product, I definitely had to switch to a regular moisturizer. It still moisturized and kept my skin matte, but my skin definitely didn't feel or looked nourished. I switched to Clarin's Gentle Day Cream and that was amazing too. My skin looked plump? Not in the "I slept with makeup on" plump, but the "wow this is silky moisturized skin looks like" plump. The Day Cream is too expensive though ($60), so I will not be repurchasing. The Hydra Matte was not as expensive. I can't remember how much it was anymore, but if my face ever becomes too oily, I'll definitely be going back to this.

This stuff says a lotion on the package, to me this is different then a moisturizer. So with that said, what I have done was put the lotion on my face after washing and toning not alot just one pump and then let it soak in, after that I put a small bit of my regular day moisturizer on top and let that soak in, then do my foundation etc. I have noticed that it helps with the oil during the day and by using my daytime moisturizer it isnt tight and dry at all. So its a win win situation. I know it sounds strange but give it a try.

Definitely not worth the money. This didn't help stop the shine at all, and my face felt greasier.

This mosistirozer is probably one of the WORST i have ever tired. It does absolouty nothing for my skin. It deffinalty does not help to control the oil in my t-zone, and it left my skin feeling dry in my cheeks. The only good thing about this prodiuct is the smell and the bottle! I will deffenatly not be buying this again.

i'm so upset that i spent that much money on a product that made my skin feel even OILIER - how is that even possible when it's targeting oily skin? with a high-priced product, you expect it to do it's job. i shall never buy this product again, i am extremely disappointed.

I used to use this moisturiser years and years ago, and while I was in Boots the other day looking for a good mattifying moisturiser for this summer heat and my combo skin, i came across this one at the clarins counter. I remembered using this probably about 5 or 6 years ago and liking it. So i repurchased. I dont know know what clarins has done but they have totally changed this product, its now just awful. I mean yes it goes on smooth and light or whatnot but it does nothing to mattify my skin or absorb any oilies or ANYTHING. Just a waste of money as it did nothing for me and i was getting out the blotting sheets as much as i would be having used some very rich face cream. Dont waste your money!

I was quite disappointed in this - I really hoped it would prove an excellent day moisturiser, moisturising my dry areas and mattifying the oily parts. It does mattify, but only for a couple of hours and so I'm going to have to keep looking for something that does the job. The pump isn't great either - one pump isn't enough, two pumps is too much.

Didnt do anything to control the oil throughout the day,nice smell,thats it.
