I like the foundation but i dont think this is for oily skin in my tzone area. I feel it too oily at the end of my work day. I am still looking for a great foundation.

This product has good coverage and has never made me break out. However, the problems I'm having are that, firstly, my skin feels dry, and secondly, the color is not really matching my skin, even I chose the color that is closest to my skin tone.

I am 44 years old and have been using Balanced Makeup Base since I'm 13 years old. As I've aged, my skin has become very sensitive to many skincare ingredients. This is absolutely not the case with this outstanding foundation. When I put it on in the morning, it literally "calms" my skin down. It glides wonderfully over my skin and evens out my complexion. I'm saddened to hear that Clinique will cease production of this product, May or June of 2009. Luckily, I've stocked up on 45 bottles of the Ivory color! P.S. My 14 year old daughter, who has combination/sensitive skin, loves this product as well.

This used to be a very good foundation until two things happened. First Clinique started making their product elsewhere in another country and every single color was darker than it originally was. I compensated by picking a lighter shade. Over the years they have gotten rid of all the light shades particularly any with pink undertones. This is true of all their foundations. This line caters to yellow and orange undertones only and that has lost them alot of truly fair pinky women like myself. Balanced in the shades Light and Fair were once alive and well and HG for me.

I've read that this was discontinued, then reformulated and renamed Superbalanced foundation.
This formula stings my skin so I no longer use it - strongly smells of alcohol and perfume, so that may be it. I don't like perfume in foundations anyway.

This is my favorite foundation. I've used it for years. It provides good coverage but doesn't look fake. It is perfect for combination skin. It is neither too oily or drying. I have tried many, many other foundations and every other Clinique foundation. I've decided this is the best. I like the Ivory shade. Someone else said they think it is being discontinued. I wrote to Clinique and they assured me that it is not being discontinued. Thank God!

easy to apply. not too heavy and not too light. wat else could i ask for?

I really liked the feel and coverage of this foundation. I really prefer foundation that will come in a squeeze tube so its not so messy. Unfortunatly, this broke me out pretty bad. But clinique did let me return it, so thats good.

I've tried all the other Clinique formulas and a few other companies too and I keep coming back to this. Great coverage, goes on well and stays on. I have combo skin so I use a light powder to set.

This product has good coverage and is not cakey or too greasy.
The problem I'm having is that the colors are not really matching my skin tone. I've tried several different colors and am a bit disappointed. I'll probably keep trying though because the consistency of the product is great. Update-the consistency was good, but I never found my color match (from other clinique reviews I've read here, I'm not too surprised). I'm using a foundation now (Lancome) with a more yellow undertone and am pleased.

This is really sticky and hard to blend. They gave me this instead of superbalanced, and it had good soverage, but it was just6 to chalky and dry-probably better for oily skin. Will not repurchase.

Clinque Balanced Foundation has always been good to my skin.
It was for convenience that I decided to switch from department store makeup (Clinique) to something I could purchase right in the drugstore. Even though I am currenty wearing L'Oreal foundation (Line Minimizer which I love), I miss Clinique and will buy it again in the Fall.
The Clinique Balanced Foundation that I used for a couple of years was Chamois (pronounced the American way, "Shammy"). Although I thought the color was flattering for my skin tone, I realized later than it was probably too dark with too much peachy tint (not good for me, as it makes my skin appear orange).
When I do buy Clinque Balanced Foundation again after summer is over, I'll buy it in Ivory or another light shade, to match up with my natural skin color.
I have found that I have a whole different skin treatment and coloring plan in the summer, at which time my skin has more color and even a light tan.

This is one of the best foundations I've used. It applies easily and evenly. The Clinique SA recommended Vanilla & it has been the perfect winter shade for my medium complexion. It blends away imperfections and the color stays true. continued >>

Nothing special. I have oily skin, and I don't think this helped matify my skin. However, the color did match my skin (when I was tan). Wear this with a powder.

My absolute favorite foundation. Sheer enough to always look natural but opaque enough to even out any flaws. Lightweight, easy on my skin, and never ever cakes up throughout the day. I'll never go back to MAC.

clinique,staying away from all its products and my skin is thanking me for it,this particular foundation is unimpressive

Best coverage I've found for my skin. Doesn't balance all that well but when I go back to my other foundations I find that I have a little more oil in my T-zone then when I use this. A really good find.

I like this, though it sometimes doesn't give quite enough coverage and doesn't really last that long. i feel like i need to touch up after 4hrs. almost makeup is better

This is better than SuperBalanced. The coverage is dewy, and not chalky like the Super. It also doesnt turn orange.
