I grew up in a house where everything smelled like sandalwood, from the bath products (mainly soap) to the candles in my mother's bedroom, so I feel I have quite an accurate idea of what "real" sandalwood should smell like. MMU's attempt isn't bad exactly, but it lacks the strong musky scent that sandalwood really permeates. This is a very weak, pale fragrance that lasts for just a little while before fading. A good, strong sandalwood is instantly identifiable (to me, at least) and always smells lovely and fresh. This smells very "wet" - like a damp towel maybe.
