This is how this shower gel is described on the UK Caudalie website - "...evokes the velvety softness of purple grape-skin melting into pink and silky smooth honey leaking from the grape stem saps. The scent of powdery cloud, ginger liqueur, orange blossom and jasmine infusion is subtly calming and sensual..." Sounds great doesn't it? If only it lived up to this wonderfully flowery description!

First off, I have the perfume of this and that smells AMAZING! It's such a lovely, light scent which is perfect for spring/summer and whenever I smell it, it never fails to remind me of warm summer holidays. However, the shower gel does none of that and as a result is just a massive disappointment. The scent is at best 'blah', it doesn't last on the skin and it takes a lot of gel to get any kind of lather going. It also claims to soften your skin, and although it has some great plus points (0% parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils, animal ingredients, etc...) this definitely doesn't soften it as much as other shower gels I've tried/use that make the same claims.

For the price - 9.00GBP - you can get much better quality and scented shower gels for your money, and on that basis I wouldn't recommend getting this. If you want to know what this should really smell like, try the perfume version instead - it's far superior.
