This is a lovely moisturizing body wash that has an herbal-lavender scent. It made me feel clean, refreshed and feminine with hydrated skin. The scent is not straight up English Lavender, but is a blend of lavender and rosemary which gives it an herbal twist. The scent is not overwhelming in the shower and doesn't overpower any fragrances added, such as body spray, cologne or perfume. The lather was fairly rich and creamy without a greasy feel and didn't leave my skin feeling like it was coated with something to keep the moisture in. The formula is paraben free, with actual lavender and rosemary oils listed above the fragrance ingredient.
I purchased a 16-ounce bottle (advertised as 'new bottle' with a flip top cap) with a free full-sized bar of English Lavender soap for only $3 at Walgreens.
The formula of this shower gel is decent, but the smell is absurd-- nothing like lavender or rosemary at all. Instead it has a fruity sweet scent with nuances of maraschino cherries. It's distinctly artificial and reminds me in some ways of the cherry-almond fragrance of Jergens lotion. It's not gag inducing but it's no where close to the clean, refreshing smell of lavender. Maybe there was a mistake at the factory... I can't understand how or why this is being marketed as a lavender and rosemary showergel.
