I do like this product. I have very sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts on my back and ingrown hairs anywhere that I wax. I have found Sage's Body Acid to be the most effective moisturizer and exfoliant for these issues. Granted, it could be even more powerful (I have to use it very regularly on my back in order to keep breakouts at bay), but it is the best I've found so I'm sticking with it. I do not mind the scent at all (I use Mandarin).

I thought about buying this product for over six months before I broke down and got it. I don't have a lot of money to throw around, so I think long and hard before I spend $50. (Which is what I paid for this. I got it on special.) Unfortunately, I was very disappointed and I really really wish I could get my money back.
1. It's seriously overpriced. Which is typical for Sage. Even on special, it's WAY more expensive than it should be.
2. It doesn't smell good. I got the coconut version but it smells chalky and industrial. Nothing like coconut.
3. It didn't do much of anything. Like another reviewer said, for a 20% solution, I expect dramatic results. I have been using this stuff for a month now and am so far unimpressed with the results.
4. You have to rub and rub to get it to absorb. Lately, I've started mixing it with a creamier body butter to make it easier to apply and absorb.
Since I can't return it, I fully intend to use every bit of it. I've been using Sage products on my face for a year now, with great results. But in my opinion, sage's body products aren't any better than anything I could buy at Walgreens.

This stuff works for my extremely dry skin and the awful bumps that mark my arms and legs. It is the only thing that works - unlike all the stuff my dermatologist told me to use which was too weak to do anything. It has not hurt me or made me break out in any way and I'm fairly sensitive. Outstanding for rough, cracked heels!!!

For the price they charge for this, it should be amazing. It's not. I got samples of both the Manderin and the Coconut. Both had an underlying chemical scent, which the fragrance was trying to mask, yet unsucessfully. Although, the Coconut had a slightly better scent, but still not perfect. The product itself is average. It hydrated pretty well and kept the skin smooth, but there are many products out there for less money, that can do this and have a better smell to boot.

Lone dissenter here. I think that not only is this product ludricrously overpriced, it:
1.) Has a horrible texture. I once made the mistake of applying it to dry skin, and I could not understand why it would not absorb, when it started to roll off my skin in little waxy pieces. Say it with me: Ewww.
2.) Has a horrible smell. I have the Mandarin, which is supposedly the less offensive of the two. If that is true, then I would hate to smell the Coconut. This smells more like burned plastic than any kind of orange scent.
3.) It barely works. I would expect a 20% formula, especially one that costs $65.00 (yes, of course I bought it on special, I'm not stupid), to work like gangbusters. I have found Lac-Hydrin 12% to be much more effective, and even Alpha-Hydrox 10% AHA-Enhanced Lotion works better -- and it is only $10.00. To be fair, neither one of those smells great either, but at least you're not paying $65.00 to stink. continued >>

I really like the body acid. I also got the 20%. I tend to get ingorwn hairs on my legs and this helps a lot to get the bumpies away. The same thing goes for my arms. The only drawback is the price, but Sage is constantly running specials so that helps a lot.

I bought this as part of one of the Sage Specials, and I really like this exfoliating body cream! I have the Coconut 20% version, and it exfoliates my skin really well, without any irritation or redness. I use it for dry knees/elbows/feet, on my legs to prevent ingrown hairs, and for the occasional body pimple. You don't need much product, so the tub will last!

Sage Body Acid is a body cream/exfoliant that is sold in two formulas: Coconut, which contains 20% AHA; and Mandarin (original), which has 2% BHA and 20% AHA. The coconut is more heavily scented (yummy coconut scent!) and feels slightly more gel-like. I think it's moisturizing properties are slightly less than those of the Mandarin, which feels creamier. The Mandarin is much more lightly scented and doesn't interfere with perfumes. (If you're wearing the Coconut, make sure that's what you want to smell like!) Both formulas help keep keratosis pilaris, body acne, dry skin, and ingrown hairs at bay. They are outrageously expensive - something like $65-$85 for 8 ounces - so be sure to purchase them if they're part of a special rather than on their own.
