This and Oilatum are my moisturising bath products of choice. Aveeno out performs the Oilatum, moisture-wise, and feels that much nicer on the skin. I don't get too much greasiness, but for the most part the skin on my body is dry and can get itchy and sensitive because of it. This helps a lot.

This stuff is really growing on me. Right now I am rubbing it on my pregnant belly post-shower, post-towel pat-down. I try and make sure there is a little moisture on my skin still otherwise if my skin is TOO wet it turned into this white milky condsistency and doesnt work as well. Anyway. I like it. I get out of the shower, pat dry and then apply. I dont know if it will prevent stretch marks but at least I am trying to moisturize my skin a little. I will also take note on a previous review and try it for shaving!!
PROS: Very nice honey almondy scent. Not super, super oily like some. This is very soothing.
CONS: This won't sit on the shelf for a long time without going bad. Have to use it up pretty quick.
ALTERNATES: I ended up usually just using my stand-by, which is jojoba oil, because it lasts in the bottle for a long time.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am prove to hives outbreaks when my histamine levels are high. As well as I have really dry body skin (my face is excessively oily so I use their facial products too). I use all of their products-except hair. This oil has literally stopped my itching and dryness. A few drops and a rinse that's it, coupled with a pat dry, and an application of oatmeal lotion. I am very soft and my skin is moisturized and balanaced.
I really enjoy this product, but I don't use it how it's intended. My skin is particularly dry and for me, it doesn't work well at all as an 'in shower moisturizer' like the bottle says. I found out quickly that my skin requires a more heavy-duty moisturizer after bathing.
Instead, I find it's best as a replacement for shaving cream. I typically wax, but lately, I've gone back to shaving. Regular shaving cream gives me redness, itching...etc. This product leaves me bump-free and very smooth/soft.
I will definitely repurchase it for shaving.
Holy Crap do I love this stuff.
Pros:
1. Rub on and rinse off. Easy!
2. Stay moisturized without feeling goopey.
3. If you do this before you shave, you get a closer shave and you can skip a day of shaving.
4. Only need a few drops per body part so it lasts a long time.
5. Stops the itch.
6. You feel like a baby's butt.
7. $7 so it isnt expensive at all. I have had my bottle for 8 months and it is still 3/4 of the way full
Cons:
1. Not readily available.
2. It smells like almonds. Which I don't particularly like. But it fades quickly so it isn't horrible.
The only reason I say that I won't buy this again is because the smell is just weird. I think it's supposed to be almond, but it quickly turned into a rancid cherry sort of smell for me. I also like Neutrogena's body oil a lot better. Overall, though, this is a good product. It moisturizes well, and it lasts a long time. If scent doesn't particularly bother you, go for it!
I have mild exzema, and I cannot use ordinary shower gels - I start to itch and scratch until I bleed, and I get scales on some parts of my body.
I started using this about two months ago as a shower oil. I think it is really good! It calms my skin really well. I don't think it is moisturising enough for me not use a skin moisturiser (I use my homemade shea/cocoa butter concoction for that), but it does not strip my skin and, most importantly, does not irritate my skin. I also find that it lasts a decent amount of time (250ml bottle) as opposed to some of the other oils I have tried, is thicker (so it doesn't drip all over the place and is not messy to apply) and has a nice scent to it. I am just about to finish my second bottle, and have bought two more, so it's pretty safe to say, I will definitely be buying again.
PS: I don't really know about leaving it on...shower oils have a certain ingredient (forgotten what it was), which "qualifies" them as shower oils, rather than just skin oils, so I'm always scared that it may irritate me if I left it on, but I guess if it works for you, it works.
This is probably the only product on the market at the price level offered that does exactly what it is supposed to do and doesn't fall short. I use it after cleansing, smooth it all over my body, and then lightly rinse (I don't rub off the product). Then I pat dry and seal all the moisture in with a good body lotion. It makes skin feel soft, smooth, and imparts a slight glow. The fragrance is light and not overpowering. The bottle may need to be shaken up a bit after not using it for a little while to make sure the oat flour and the oil mix well, but it's a good consistency. I like letting it soak into my skin while I am in the shower steam, then rinsing. Keeps the eczema on my body at bay and the scent is slightly comforting.
