Maybelline has released some wonderful new glitters in the Color Show line and there are 5 cute "dotted" polishes in the Polka Dots Collection. It's about time that some of the polish companies are getting on board and releasing Indie type glitter/dot polishes. Dotty is a "glitter" polish with medium black hexagons, medium white hexagons, small black hexagons and small white hexagons all suspended in a sheer orange jelly base. The base polish is very sheer and this can be worn alone or as a topper. This is definitely not buildable to an opaque glitter bomb as the color is too sheer. I used this over a base of a similar color and then only 1 coat of this as a topper. The glitter in this isn't glitter in the traditional sense in that these are not sparkly or glittery, they are simply colored bits. The bits are plentiful though and there is no fishing required to get them. This applied as you would a creme polish and I only had to work minimally to place some of the glitters. I have had several compliments on this polish and it makes a cute artsy mani with no effort at all. I have several of these Polka Dots polishes and have been very pleased with them all. This is a small bottle at only .23 fl. oz. but considering this is a topper or effects type polish I am okay with a smaller sized bottle. This is another winner. I went out and got all of these in the Polka Dots Collection I liked them so well.
