I bought this on a whim, which I don't normally do, however Estee Lauder does not disappoint! I've been wearing this since it came out, and EVERYONE ask me what it is. Reviewers say it doesn't last long, true but only on skin, on clothes it last me a week. It's feminine and floral with a pleasant dry down. I love this perfume and I am happy I made the spur of the moment buy!
I think it over and over before I purchased this perfume. And now I finally have it! No regrets! I love the floral and a little bit of woodsy scent in my skin. Doesn't have long staying power but I don't mind. This isn't overpowering or too strong. I'd say this is a perfect scent in the office. Classy and womanly. Love it!
I really like the smell of this perfume. It is strong when you first put it on, but then it fades away during the day to a pleasant scent. It does not have a lot of staying power, which is frustrating, especially for the price. I think it smells very womanly. Perfume scents are so subjective, I would highly recommend smelling this perfume in person before you make a decision on buying it.
I got a free sample at the Lauder counter . I must say that I enjoy the floral topnotes.Unfortunately the base fails on me ,turning into a sour rotten-as-in-mildewed woodsy musk . Pass .
I received a free sample of this so did not purchase it, for that am glad, I do not like it at all. On my skin it reminds me of 5th Avenue mixed with perm solution. It just doesn't work on me. I am sure it works wonderfully on some people but not on me. I will not purchase.
First there's a plastic-like synthetic jasmine, rotting honeysuckle and fetid gardenia that smells like dead flowers in plastic rotting in the sun. Someone else thought it was like blooms dying in a funeral home. As the fragrance warms up on skin it starts to develops a slight creaminess with a sharp woods, but within an hour its all gone and all that is left is a thin watery peppered musk, like you've just used a body spray yet paid for a perfume. Lauder have quickly banged out a knockoff of Narciso Rodriguez for Her to jump on the Floral Musk bandwagon to appeal to the youth crowd. I have no doubt they know the market and it will sell well as I see them pushing this perfume hard at every opportunity at my local counter. Very overpriced for the quality of the ingredients but each to their own.
I love this perfumeee! I'm a woodsy person so I pick up the sleek woods in it more than the floral impression. Love the packaging and the price is pretty standard for any eu de parfum nowadays. I've been told it smells similar to a $600 Chanel perfume that's only sold in Europe.
I first found this perfume from a magazine. I tried the sample and liked it so much to make me want to buy it that day. Before I bought it, I did hesitate a little but Estee Lauder was giving away gifts so that gave me the extra push to go to Macys to buy it.
One thing I love the most is the perfume bottle. I know maybe the smell should be the most important thing, but I love to look at really nice perfume bottle. The bottle is very feminine and fashionable, elegant and modern. I think it is a very classic look.
I like this perfume because of what it is not. It is not sweet. It is not too strong. It is not weird. It is not too floral. It is not soapy. It is not spicy. It is not too girly. It is not too flirty. It is not too fruity. etc. It doesn't have highs and lows so I would say it is very balanced, calm and harmonious. What it Is, is very feminine and beautiful without trying too hard.
So the smell is very light but I found that it is easy to layer them if you want to smell stronger. I smell lots of honeysuckle which I love! It is very elegant and feels like it is for women with class and good taste. I don't really think of a girl who is high maintenance but rather someone who loves simplicity and is very aesthetic. It doesn't yell out, "hey people, look at me and smell what I am wearing!" It is very quiet and whispers but leaves a lasting impression.
Since it is light, I would say it can be safe to wear it in the work place unless you spray too much. I think it is agreeable and friendly. I guess there are people who write negative reviews about this perfume. I think it makes sense because this scent doesn't say, "I am the best!" or "I am amazing tonight!" The emotion that comes with this fragrance is more subtle. This fragrance has inner confidence that doesn't need to be loud and obvious about it.
I'm so glad that this was a sample, because this was a scrubber. It's soft like fuzzy flannel is soft, but it pumps out the scent so I smell it, wafting around me. It dries down to a less well done SJP Lovely. I regret that I can't describe it more accurately, but it's unpleasant, and I don't want to put it on again.
I'm one of the rare people who didn't mind Esteē's "old lady" image. I'm glad that their products have really been stepped it up in terms of pigmentation and longevity, but otherwise I have been largely uninterested in their newest big releases.
I am so glad I bought a sample vial of this fragrance before buying the full size bottle.
I received a pull out tester in an Ulta circular. It smelled like Narciso Rodriguez for her, but softer and prettier. I loved it.
Well flash forward to today. I received the vial in the mail and tore it open and applied. Oh the disappointment! The top notes were there, but where was the sexy musk? None. It was odd and smelled flat and wrong. It is so hard to describe. But I do know if I was sitting by a woman who was wearing this, I would move. It isn't loud, it is just bad and annoying.
For those who said it is unobtrusive and office friendly, I beg to differ. Just because it isn't loud, doesn't mean everyone will like it.
Not recommended to any woman of any age.
