I have very dry thick hair. I have tried everything to moisturize my hair without leaving it greasy and weighed down. Just after 2 uses I have noticed a major improvement in my hair. It feels amazing and stays super strait and smooth all day! Will definitely repurchase
I got this product in a 3pack when I got my hair cut. This shampoo was great the first time I used it! After that I developed this painful itching that I couldn't place. I suffered through for about 2 weeks and then on a fluke stopped using this shampoo. Overnight the itching stopped and my scalp is happy again. The conditioner is the only product I would rebuy from this line.
Got a free sample of this...enough for 1 use. It's pretty good. I have thin hair that I'm letting grow out so 6-7 inches is silky new growth. The rest is fried blond. The shampoo cleansed pretty good but I felt like I had to scrub a little longer at the roots. Rinsed out well and left my hair silky. Don't think I'll purchase a bottle because I left my hair a little frizzy.
This is for over-processed hair that is dry. It is protein based so those who are protein-sensitive may want to try something else. It has a moderately heavy floral smell and produces a creamy, light lather. It is paraben free and does a good job of cleansing my hair without drying it out. It made my hair very shiny and less frizzy when used in conjunction with the matching conditioner. This is a bit pricey, but since my hair is highlighted and prone to frizz and dryness, I don't mind splurging every now and then. You are supposed to apply to your wet hair with a massaging motion and I would say this works better that way. You will it get it to lather more. The silk ingredient is near the bottom of the ingredient list so I don't feel it would do much good. If you bleach or color your hair, this is nice and worth a try. The Matrix website also offers samples too if you want to try it out first.
I am 19 years old with coarse, dry, and damaged curly hair. Needless to say, I definitely want it to look better and have been searching for the perfect shampoo and conditioner for years. I've had the Matrix Optismooth (thermal reconditioning) done to my hair 5 times in the past, and despite its smoothing effects, it left my hair sooo damaged, so I was excited to hear about a new Biolage shampoo specifically made for over-processed hair. This shampoo was pricy- it cost me 50 dollars for the shampoo, conditioner, and renewal spray. It's only alright. They all have the same fragrance. It's wonderful and unique to the biolage line. That's the only really excellent thing about this shampoo. It's really difficult to get it to lather and all over my hair, probably because it's sulfate free. While it definitely didn't make my hair more damaged, it didn't do much to repair the damage already done it. I have a strainer in my drain so I can keep track of the hair I'm losing and I'd say the amount of hair falling has barely decreased or not decreased at all since I started using this shampoo. It DID leave my hair soft and moist, though! I'd say it'd be too heavy for someone with finer hair, however. Overall, I don't think I'll buy it again. Not really the solution for extremely damaged hair, especially for the high price tag.
