While browsing around for make up at the airport, I was automatically drawn to what I thought was a very edgy color with an attitude. I got instantly delighted and eager to purchase this new pre-fall Chanel nail polish. Upon actually applying it, it revealed to have a different face but was still quite interesting on my nails - not as interesting as I thought it would be though. Alchimie is definitely not a common color: it is striking, yet classy. But there is something about having it on that is slightly disappointing as opposed to how it looks like in the beautiful glass bottle. I personally think it looks nicer on finger nails rather than toe nails.
Alchimie is the pre-fall nail colour which forces you into a purchase the second your eyes hit the display - a guy you follow down the block the moment you see him. It has the appeal of a potent concoction in the bottle similar to a juice drink freshly poured from a vitamix. It could do you some good but then it could do you some harm. On application it shows a slightly different face, still interesting but wearable - a duocreme cool dark green with a flash of gold that is edgy but classy. So right for a pedicure in the summer but will work as a manicure for fall.It applies very well and dries quickly and feel free to use a heavy hand when applying as it can go on a little pale. A better accessory than a clutch bag. It manages to pull off what Peridot failed at. This is for big girls.
UPDATE: had to lower the rating because this chips so badly - both base and tips. Happens sometimes with duochromes.
