Ouch!! This stuff is horrid!!
My skin isn't very sensitive and while ona budget I thought this cleanser would be fine. I've used many other cleanser with a high percentage of essential oils, but this stuff is dreadful.
It burnt upon first application. I gave up after three uses, after thinking perhaps it was the weather or stress making my skin not like it. But no. It's just horrible.
It is very heavily fragranced.
I've been uing it as a handwash, it's fine for that.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!! I have extremely dry skin and always had dry flaky patches on my cheeks and T-zone. That is until I started using this wonderful product. Since using this product my dry patches have gone away. My irritated red cheeks have calmed down and my skin is so soft and clear. My makeup finally looks fresh throughout the day instead of dry and dull like it used to. I can't explain to any one how much this cleanser has changed my life.

Burned my face upon contact. Maybe it was because it was right after using micellar water by Klorane makeup cleansing water, but I bought this to give it that last little cleanse after using makeup remover. After all, this product claims to be an ideal makeup remover. The burning sensation subsided after rinsing with water, but this will sting your eyes if you have it around near your eyes, even during a rinse with water.
Another problem I have with this product is that it contains Bergamot essential oil. It doesn't say whether it's Bergapten free (the chemical constituent that causes phototoxicity). Also, it says it has "other" essential oils added to it, but doesn't say what.
Looks like this will go back to the store. I bought it because I was looking for a cleansing milk that was like Weleda's cleansing milk or Burt's Bees cleanser that's non foaming. I thought I could use this as an added cleanser after using makeup remover to remove my makeup but after finding out that it burns my face like crazy and it contains Bergmot oil plus other unknown oils... well, I should have done more research b4 shelling out $11 CDN b4 taxes (was on sale at this price).
250ml, and comes in a pump. The consistency of this product is just like Cetaphil Moisturizer, white in color. It has a fragrance of Bergamot. It claims to be a gentle soap free formula that hydrates and nourishes, and CoQ10 is supposed to smooth the appearance of wrinkles and help firm the skin. I never got to find out if these claims are true because of my allergic reaction to the product. It will not foam and it is not greasy but quite moisturizing. But when you rinse with water (which is what they tell you to do) the product easily comes off and you don't feel any kind of greasiness on skin.

I love love love love this stuff. I have pretty dry skin, but I've always been hesitant to try a non-foaming cleanser because I play sports and get sweaty and wear makeup and all that junk. However, my esthetician said that with my skin, I should NOT be using soap, so I gave this stuff a try. At first, it seemed a little weird that it didn't lather and that I had to wipe it off with a washcloth, but now I absolutely love it. After a week or two, my skin felt softer and happier and had fewer dry spots. And the gentle exfoliation with the face cloth is just enough to keep my skin nice and soft. I love that the ingredients are mostly things that I recognize from the garden and it smells rad (if you like lavendar). I do wish it came in a squeezy bottle instead of the pump because it's a pain in the a** to get out the last ten washes worth or so. But I freakin' love it a bunch!

I bought this cleansing milk and the night moisturizer from this line since the lady said i could use it under my makeup during the day. well my first time using these two products was at night, and 4 hours later i woke up with a red swollen face, feeling like i had burning wax on my face. the anti-wrinkle ingredient coq10 is rated safe on the skin deep website so i think i must be allergic to something else. bummer! i paid 24.99 for the cleanser and 12.99 for the night moisturizer at my local health food store. actually, years ago, i was also sensitive to the vitamin c line from avalon organics. hmm?

I have been an inactive user for a while but I ordered this online based on some reviewers (not on this board) and I had to come in here JUST to tell everyone about it. Within 4-5 times usage, skin more even and glowy and no pimples. This is a keeper. Try it.

It smells like lavender (actually I don't like lavender smell). It's a very rich cleansing milk and leaves my skin moisturized after cleaning. I only use it in the morning, so I don't test for any specific functions from this cleansing milk. I think it cleans well and doesn't dry off my skin, just exactly what I look for in a morning cleanser (specifically for dry weather).

I bought this product because I wanted something that would gently remove oil and buildup from my face in the mornings, and on days when I did not wear makeup or sunscreen.
This product was definitely gentle to my skin, it cleansed without making my face dry at all. Unfortunately, it did not clean quite well enough and seemed to clog my face. After a little over a week of use (without changing anything else in my routine), I developed deep under-the-skin clogs. I switch to a different cleanser, and the clogs went away. This went back to the store.
If you have dry skin that is not sensitive to essential oils (which this has quite a few of) and is not clog-prone, this may be a good product for you. Unfortunately, I could not recommend this to anyone else.

I have combination skin and I find this product not only stings, but causes me to break out. Also, I can't stand the smell.

I love this face wash...I just bought it to try something new, and it really does make your skin look younger and really radiant. That alone is good enough for me in a face wash. My skin just looked awesome after using it, and it felt smooth and clean. Maybe the best face wash I've ever used

I use this product on a soft sponge to refresh my face every morning in my shower. With the sponge, you get a very mild exfoliating and it leaves my face soft and smooth - love it for this purpose! I did not, however, think it was good at removing makeup and really making your face feel clean at the end of the day. So I alternate this product in my am shower with Avalon Lavender Cleansing Gel in the evening. This combo works for me - my skin has never felt better!

I've been using this for about 3 weeks so far. I like it. It does its job. It smells nice. My skin feels clean but not dry or tight after I use it. It's very gentle and pure.

Another "MUST MISS" product. This claims it's "perfect" for removing make-up. Must be a HUGE typo error on Avalon's part. It did remove some & I underscore some of my face make-up. When it came to removing eye make-up...NOT! And just a friendly F.Y.I., I don't wear much make-up which made this all the more disappointing that it did such a poor job (and that's being nice). Skip right past this product if you are looking for the "perfect" make-up cleanser cause this one's definitely not it! The only thing this product has going for it is the pump dispenser that it comes in & for that reason alone I gave it a five for packaging quality. :-( continued >>

I bought this product because I wanted to move toward natural products. Previous to this I was using Vichy's 3 in 1 cleansing milk. I liked how it removed my makeup and it didn't dry out or irritate my skin. So, I thought I would move toward something that was a milk again to remove my MU
This product is stronger than the vichy milk I was using, which I was looking for. My skin has become very oily in areas and I wanted something to break up that oil.
However, I believe this is breaking me out. I do get the occasional hormonal pimples, but never like this. I have 7 random spots on my entire face at the moment. One is cystic. I feel disgusting. I think the natural ingredients in this product are reacting badly with my skin and it is *definitely* not removing my makeup. I just bought Paula Begoun's book and she says that sometimes essential oils are added into skincare products . Although they sound nice, they do not usually react well with your skin. This product definitely has them.
This product is also too strong to use around my eyes. It hurts like hell. With my Vichy cleansing milk I could use it to remove every stitch of eyemakeup without any irritation. The only qualm I had with it was that it was too rich and I was afraid there was product residue left on my skin.
I have to use several other makeup removers to take everything off after this cleanser now (for my face and eyes). I am really not happy. I don't think I have ever had this many pimples at the same time in my life.

This is a nice cleanser. It smells great, is gentle on the skin and cleans well. I like the pump design, it's easy for everyday, morning and night cleansing. Removes make up well and rinses off completely. I think it has made my skin glow. I am not acne prone, but do get some spots here and there when a product doesn't suit my skin, however, with this cleanser I feel like my skin has really improved. It is pretty cheap and works well. Usually I noticed what makes an expensive brand better than drugstore brands is how the products smell. This smells like an expensive brand but is not. Plus its paraben free. My HG for cleansers.

I LOVE this cleanser!! This stuff makes my skin softer, my pores smaller and most importantly I haven't broken out from it!! I have tried Oil of Olay, Neutrogena, Clinique etc in the past 20 years and nothing has made my skin look this young and fresh! I love the fact it's Organic and not tested on animals. The pump is nice and it has a herbal/funky odor that I like, since I'm allegic to a lot of fragrences. I'm planning on buying the toner and serum too since I've had great luck with this product!!

It's funny that I said I wouldn't buy this product again, since I've purchased it three times now. But the truth is, I just WANT to like it. I don't really know why. It sounds like a good idea? I like using natural products. I like that it doesn't have a strong scent. But the truth is, I never feel like my face is clean after I use it. So, after writing this, I vow never to buy it again, lol!

I used this all during winter 2007 and liked it. I am pretty much over my all natural skin care and makeup phase, but this was nice if you like lotion-y cleansers. I tend to prefer a cleanser that foams a bit and gets makeup off easier, but this is good for basic cleaning and leaving the skin soft. I enjoyed the lavender smell and tingle.

*Hmmm...I have NO idea at all why alot of the reviewers keep saying this bottle is purple with a green label, because it is NOT,it has a yellow label.Maybe they are reviewing another product,I don't know,LOL,but my review is for the Avalon CoQ10 Cleansing MILK,with the YELLOW label. Now that that's out of the way,lol...
I've suddenly been wanting to try an organic facial cleanser (why,I don't know lol,)and I decided on this..I've been using this now for over 3 weeks. And wow...I am VERY impressed!
This is REALLY brightening my pale, dull skin!My skin's always been really white, but lately, damn,it's super white lol! I have hyper-sensitive,uneven combination skin, and this doesn't make me break out.My face is SUPER smooth after washing! And,the scent is intoxicating!I've found it doesn't take off makeup well at ALL,but after seeing the good results it's yielding so far,the makeup thing doesn't really bother me!:)
This stuff, along with using homemade honey/baking soda scrubs and honey masks,is really making my face look fantastic! It just glows!
This also works handy dandy as a moisturizer!Kinda pricey, but worth it,IMO.

I really was bothered by the smell of this cleanser. It is too strong like lavender mixed with something way too intense for me! The cleansing milk is a nice texture and it is not drying. You get alot for your money but the scent is overpowering. Not worth it! Oh well
