Oh Honey!!! The name is absolutely misleading I smell no trace of honey or anything to do with honey. The scent is floral, clean and very wearable. The only reason why I bought it was for the bottle pckaging and the scent; which is nice anyways as it decorates your vanity very nice!!!
Marc Jacob Honey - I LOVED this perfume but like every perfume, it doesn't last on me. I wish it did tho It's sweet but not overly sweet, fresh, sunny and warm... A really good perfume ! It's not a sophisticated scent, it's just a really good everyday scent, but I wouldn't want this perfume as my ''signature'' perfume.
Not sure what it is with Honey fragrances but I can never smell the honey! This Marc Jacobs fragrance is just a less overpoweringly floral version of Philosophy's Pure Honey fragrance. That one had way too much cloying sweetness and the Marc Jacobs Honey fragrance is similar in its notes, but much more pleasant and wearable. It has a lightness to it that makes it very easy to wear without overpowering everyone in the vicinity. It also has a clean, fresh feeling which I feel a honey-based fragrance needs in order to balance the sweetness.
This fragrance is pleasant and feminine (in a very girly way, it smells very young) but not something I personally would wear. The bottle is pretty though, but again in a girly way rather than a sophisticated feminine way. Wouldn't buy a full size bottle of this although I will continue to use my sample vial.
Wow, I didn't expect to like it this much. I can't usually pull honey fragrances because my skin amplifies the sweet notes. Not so with MJ Honey. To my nose, this is an amicable melange of fruit and flowers with just a little bit of honey, still retaining an airy feel. It's for the faint of heart like myself and is in a different category from thick, dense, sometimes boozy honey fragrances. It's so preppy and twee that a little girl could pull it. It's the kind of smell your young children would like. Approachable, yummy and light. It's casual, easy to wear and draws comments like you smell so nice, but at the same time, for me, it's a forgettable niceness in the end of the day. I wouldn't like to be known with this smell, neither would I wear it if I wanted to make an impression on someone. Still, I find it pleasant on casual days. I wouldn't buy it again because there are so many other things to try.
Low sillage after the heart notes but very good longevity on my skin.
Got a whiff on the scent strip at the mall and i love it! This is one heady floral scent... sort of energizing. Something for summer. But this is one expensive baby so might try get this online. I do like the cute yellow bottle / butterfly packaging. But i didnt get the name. Where`s the honey? couldnt sniff that.
I love this perfume!!! It's sweet and sassy, but I personally like that smell, it has this like warm floral and honey smell that lingers after you wear it all day and when you first test it, it's a little overwhelming but you have to like rub it in. Other wise it's floral, fruity, and overall sweet like its name. But people are usually biased about this perfume, my sister doesn't like it, she claims it's something girly or something a little girl would wear, but I'm girly so it fits my personality it's my signature scent from now on
I am probably biased because I love bees, so when I saw the packaging I had to have it. I am also a fan of several other MJ fragrances, including MJ original and MJ Daisy Eau so Fresh. I like that Honey is a nice, light floral with just a hint of fruit, honey, and a slightly musky lingering note. This is a great daytime scent. It's not anything groundbreaking, but it's pleasant and subtle (which I like) and has decent staying power for a light fragrance.
I really enjoy this perfume. I am always getting compliments about it. It's not too heavy where other people that have allergies are bothered by it. I have a friend that if someone's perfume is too strong it makes her nauseous. But yet you can smell it where people do think it's a nice clean scent. The bottle is too cute. It looks nice on my dresser.
I can't separate all of the fruity notes used in Honey; they're all mingled together very closely. If I had to guess, I'd suggest that there is raspberry underneath the pear notes. There is enough citrusy notes present to stop the sweeter fruits from becoming too overbearing.
The listed honeysuckle and orange blossom are by far the strongest floral notes on me, and I'd also guess that there is some combination of clean and powdery florals such as neroli, lotus and/or heliotrope too. Sometimes I can pick up on the honey note as I find that it develops around the same time as the orange blossoms, but other times the note is too quiet and is hidden by the florals.
The shift into the base is subtle; a vanilla-infused sandalwood note develops after 3-4 hours, and mingles with the lingering orange blossom as the perfume gradually dries down (around six hours or so).
Official scent notes; pear, mandarin orange, punch, honeysuckle, orange blossom, peach, honey, vanilla and woodsy notes.
I agree with another review, it is definitely "sharp and shrill," on me at least. I was so sure I would love this, and I was expecting something softer and sweeter. At first it smelled sunny and clean, and I loved it; but after about half an hour it started smelling harsh and sharp. I tried a sample I received from Sephora, so I'm giving the packaging 5 lippies (I can't criticize what I haven't used), and I'm giving it one lippie for pricing, since the sample was free. Must be something about my chemistry that doesn't bring out the best in this fragrance.
