Dr. Denese has a LOT of eye creams and treatments on the market. This is her newest (4/22/2013) and reportedly her favorite of all. After reviewing the ingredients, I find this is mainly a silicone and nut oil lipid based formula rich in Vitamin C. The Vitamin C delivery is tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, one of the better formulations to penetrate below the dermis. This formula is a collagen booster with nut oil emolliency to smooth. The formulation is gel, very soothing. There is a wand applicator which is meant to be used to massage the product into the eye area. It offers a cooling effect. You do not need to dip your fingers into the jar. The wand will pick up product to apply. You can cleanse the wand with soapy warm water after each use and let it dry completely. Using the wand, you are gently massaging to stimulate the entire eye area. This product can be used on upper and lower eye area. There is a small amount of mica, diffuser, but it is way down the list of ingredients. Nothing in the ingredients list shows any benefit to dark circle concern users. A nice eye treatment to keep in the fridge and apply in the evenings yet I'd rather use my favorite HydroShield Eye Emulsion which has far more significant ingredients to address moisturization, hydration and fine lines, wrinkles. The eye emulsion has been very effective and remains my top Dr. Denese eye cream.
