I absoluetly adore this mascara! I hate to admit that it's my 1st Waterproof mascara. I could not find a separate blog to post for WP so I just came here. I recently travelled to Florida, so opted for something that could handle the heat and swimming etc. This did not smudge nor budge. I love the application and the brush as well. Makes my rather thin yet long lashes thicken up nicely and there's never too much product built up on the wand. Evenly distributed coats and about only 2 of them to give a nice look. I will re-purchase for certain, just not in the WP kind next time as I am a beginner in WP so find it a little hard to totally remove (lol). Long, lush rich black eye lashes that feel good all day (not too dry or brittle) and it holds a curl fairly nicely. I also found that Target sells this for only $8.49, so I will re-purchase Lash Potion (reg) the min I run out. I think it's a nice daily mascara indeed. I prefer it over Grow Luscious.
Clumps a bunch and it leaves your eyelashes that wet feeling if you know what I'm taking about.
Horrible.. Went on with clumps galore, did not go on evenly and took multiple coats to cover. Which equaled MORE CLUMPS. Will never purchase again.
I have Lash Potion in 002 Black & I only found it to be slightly above average. This mascara is neither truly good or bad; I like it but I don't love it. I honestly prefer Grow Luscious mascara by Revlon and actually have two tubes (Blackest Black & Black Shimmer) of that but only one Lash Potion. I'll still continue using Lash Potion though.
This is a volume and length mascara. Although the brush is nice & shaped well, it didn't do much for me volume-wise. For me, it only added volume to the very roots of my lashes & it was BARELY noticeable. Lengthening, however, is what this mascara is good for! Unfortunately, Lash Potion did flake all over the place after only a few hours' wear. Although the formula is really dry & flaky on my lashes it didn't make them stiff/hard or spidery.
There's nothing particularly wrong with it. It's ohkay & if you see one on sale you could try it & you wouldn't hate it, but I wouldn't say you should go out of your way in order to have this.
Finally, my favourite thing & what probably attracted me to Lash Potion is the packaging. The entire tube is metallic; the top is fuchsia and the tube itself is pink, purple, blue, & green with nice light details... GORGEOUS!
***update**** this mascara is AMAZING!! The brush is huge and wicked! It grabs every lash and coats it with a black viel of beauty! It's wetter than the original grow lusious and is easier to build with. Although I got tons of volume and length on the first coat. I barely needed a second coat. It holds curl and feels like I'm barely wearing anything. This is the best mascara for your money hands down. Please try it!
WATERPROOF VERSION: You need to wipe the excess mascara off the brush before you use it. Looks tons better! I really like this mascara. It really does make my lashes look longer.
I didn't have the flaking and my lashes looked fine hours later but I have been losing a lot of lashes since I started using it. Not saying it is for sure from this mascara but I lost a clump on one eye, very noticeable. I have never in my life lost eyelashes like this before. I am lucky to have lots of long full eyelashes but there is a space where I lost a clump. It was a two pack I got of this mascara, scared to use the second one.
Enjoy the texture but doesn't hold curl extremely well for my long lashes. The thing that bus me the most is that you can't throw it in your makeup bag because eventually the tinfoil-like graphics on the packaging will start to rub off and get over all your other products. When I go to pick up the tube, I have debris all over my hands.
Ughhhh I'm so disappointed in this mascara!! The packaging is adorable and I actually don't mind the size of the wand, but the formula is the worst. It takes forever to build up this mascara even the tiniest bit, and even then it is impossible to build it up to a nice amount of length or volume before it starts to clump. And while this mascara doesn't smudge on my lids like it did for others, it definitely wore off within a few hours. Not even 6 hours later and it barely looked or felt like I had any mascara on at all. Laaaaame.
Okay, I'll admit that beautiful packaging sucked me right in too!
I thought Lash Potion was an average mascara until about a month after using it, when my boyfriend asked me if I got eyelash extensions. Seriously? No. But I took a look in the mirror anddd...My lashes really were noticeably long and more lush! Score. I thought I bought a regular ol' mascara and had no idea about the strengthening proteins until I researched the product. A very nice surprise.
Besides that, it's an okay mascara.
The big brush is somewhat awkward, and application can get messy if you're not careful. I'd often get huge annoying clumps on the end of the brush. And like many reviewers have said, the formula does tend to flake. The more layers you apply, the more flakes. With one or two layers I didn't notice much if any flaking.
I'm torn on this mascara. I switched to telescopic and fell in love...but the strengthening proteins and gorgeous packaging MIGHT have me repurchase in the future...
