I thought this was going to be like regular vaseline but the consistency is actually a bit thicker. It has a nice soothing scent too like vanilla and chocolate. This has saved my lips from chapping and peeling during the extremely cold weather. It's so affordable, and so small you can easily pack it anywhere (in the car, purse, desk at work, makeup bag, pocket). I love putting this on a few minutes before applying my lipstick so the lipstick doesn't settle into dry spots. It's a lot longer lasting than some of the other butters out there. It actually has repaired my lips long term. If you want extra moisture, slather a thick layer of this on before bedtime. It's gonna make your lips so soft and plump looking the next day.
The tiny jar is adorable and fits well in my purse or coat pocket. It has a lovely vanilla/cocoa smell and really helps to seal in the moisture when my lips are dry. This winter has been specifically brutal not only on my hands but my lips. After using this, my lips feel and look more hydrated and best of all there is no stickiness. Perfect to use at bedtime to soak in overnight. I also use it under lipsticks that are drying to add sheen. I have also used this on dry cuticles and flaky areas of my skin with no problems. Works well in a pinch. I now want to try the rose version to see how well that compares to this. Highly recommended. I found my jar at CVS but may be cheaper at Walmart.
Omg these are the cutest little things ever!!! I have these adorable little jars in the original, cocoa butter and rose (But I could only find the rose version in the USA at rite aid.) They work so well with moisturizing your lips, face, body and pretty much everywhere. When I'm in a pickle I will just whip one of these out and start moisturizing anything: everything... Even down to my cuticles and elbows lol.
And when I have a really bad cold and I blow my nose too much with my Kleenex, the skin on my nose, the top of my lip and lips get super dry and flaky. To the point it's painful because I've rubbed the skin raw. The only thing that helps is Vaseline petroleum jelly. Before I go to bed I apply a thick amount of this all over my raw skin, and by the next day my skin is back to normal.
And I love how this smells so yummy!! Vaseline, you guys took CUTE AND ADORABLE to a whole new level!! I got this for $2 cdn at shoppers drug mart.
I didn't realize just how good this was til this past weekend when my lips were cracked, bleeding, and peeling they were so dry, and it isn't from lack of using products on them - it's just that nothing really works very well. I grabbed my *huge* jar of cocoa butter vaseline (same stuff as the adorbs little jars - just more of it!) and put some on. I was amazed how fast it soothed them, how well it lasted, and how not sore and peeling they are today! I honestly think that I'm going to toss all my other lip treatments and just stay with this, at least for winter. I'll use my less worthy ones come warmer weather, but this stuff saved my bacon, er, lips! I have a little jar of it as well, and that is now safely ensconced in my purse. It. Works. plain and simple.
Can I just say that this is the CUTEST Vaseline container EVER??? This lip balm works really well, keeps my lips moisturized and it smells great. Also, I love the portability (and I mean, SMALL PURSE portability) - I can't really take my small TUB of Vaseline everywhere I go, so this is a nice alternative. Also, since I use regular Vaseline for my lips anyway, I can always fill this small container with the goopy stuff when it's done :) I only wish it was a HINGED lid as it can be a bit tricky popping the lid off!
Ok, apart from this being the cutest little tub of vaseline EVER, it's really great. Simple vaseline and cocoa butter, perfect for moisturizing chapped lips. And I'm sure you could use this on other places as well (Shoppers carries a large life brand tub of this for cheap). Vaseline is an OK moisturizer, but it's very good at locking in moisture, so combined with the cocoa butter it's PERFECT.
Bottom line: this thing is so dang cute and effective, everyone needs one.
It was a little hard to find, but I found it in the toothpaste isle with the lip balms in Shoppers drug mart.
I absolutely love this stuff! It smells great, feels great and it's so cute! Both the mention really affordable. It worked wonders on my lips and makes them look and feel so soft and smooth. The texture is really thick and sticky and I don't really like thick and sticky balms but I guess this one was ok. Another thing I don't like is the fact that you have to dip your fingers into a little tub. But that's it and in all I really love this stuff and I would repurchase it.
You NEED to buy this. Plain and simple.
The packaging is adorable, and it actually works really well. My boyfriend told me that my lips were so soft, and it smells really nice.
Buy it. Just buy it.
I got it for $1.94. Can't get any better than that.
Awesome product. This really is the only lip product that will moisturize my lips for hours without me having to reapply it. Love this stuff. Whenever I see it in stores, I automatically pick up a new one. It smells nice as well.
Adorable and keeps my lips hydrated. I only use it once in a while so my lips don't become immune to it. I totally recommend it.
