I have really enjoyed this lip product. For my mauvish colored lips it comes across as a lovely rich apricot color...not too orange and not too pink. It has quite good staying power for a balm type lip product. As to the color payoff, with only one swipe it's practically nonexistent but the color can easily be built up with 2-3 coats to the lovely color I enjoy. I was a bit surprised however to see that it clung to some dry flakes on my lips and really drew attention to them. I simply took a tissue and scrubbed my lips to remove the flakes, slicked some more juicy papaya on and was good to go!
Have swatched this on but this is too neon peach for my liking - I wish that they would bring out more nude shades - i.e as Loreal and Maybelline provide in their Whispers/Le Balm ranges. So far the only shade from this line that has worked for me is Red velvet.
NC25 Chinese, med to low pigmented lips.
One of my top 3 favorite lip items in my stash (my other 2 is YSL Glossy Stain #10 and Burberry Primrose Pink)...and if you want to intensify the color, top with Bare Minerals Moxie Party Starter!
As for lip butters themselves, I've always enjoyed them over the years and tried them all except the brown ones... other Revlon favorites in case you're similar coloring: Sweet Tart lip butter and Orchid colorburst lip gloss (replaced the Sugar Frosting lip butter).
Omg!!! This is my favourite lip butter lipstick ever! I hated the lip butters until I found this colour. It's the perfect better than your lips lipstick ... Especially for my NC25- NC30 skin tone. It's creamy and non drying. It stays on well and it makes my lips appear so plump. I think this lipstick colour will look great with darker more dramatic eyes.
This is a lovely coral-type colour and goes on smooth and lovely. I am fair-medium and cool skinned and usually corals don't suit me too well, I actually got this for when I fake tan and it's perfect for when I am tanned! So I think definitely more suited to warm skinned ladies out there. Just be aware it does not stay on that long, it really has the staying power of a lip gloss so lots of reapplications necessary if eating, drinking etc. Will repurchase if on sale/2 for 1 just cos I'm on a bit of a budget and it's over $20 full price in Australia.
i love the lipbutters but but this one looks like a really nice retro peach but it has very little color. i think this is the one that the actress is wearing in the photo and looks nothing like it. but when i wear it over other lipsticks its okay but i would avoid this shade if you are looking for color. i was very disappointed as all the other colors are more pigmented. Where did the color gooooooo
This is my favorite shade out of the line and looks great on NC30 skin. I love that slight orange tint that doesn't come off red. It shows up on my pigmented lips. The staying power is maybe two hours and there is no staying power after you eat. It's like a chapstick which I like, but what I don't like is the fact that there is so little product, it probably won't last me a long time seeing as how I use it pretty regularly.
Shade description: sheer peach
- poor staying power
Comments: No. Just no. This shade is so sheer. I get a light peach color on my lips, but isn't enough to really notice. The staying power is also poor compared to the other shades.
Will not repurchase.
This was such a pleasant surprise! I didn't expect to really like this color, but then I ended up loving it. Such a natural yet beautifully done looking lip butter. I stray away from bright in your face colors, but this peachy coral doesn't scare me, yay! I love wearing this when I have on only mascara, no other eye makeup...it really brighten the face. I would recommend everyone try it, it's one of those products you can't go wrong with.
Im OBSESSED with revlon lip butters. Im not a lipgloss person nor am i a lipstick person,so these are perfect. This is such a springy summery colour, not too pigmented but i actually like that, since i wanted to branch out and try an orange, this delivers a lovely orangy pink colour thats very wearable. And i think its even more flattering with a tan!
