Terrible first impression of this product: For one, it stung terribly on my skin (I have combination skin that isn't sensitive) and smelt terrible. The smell somewhat lingers for an hour for me (I washed it off in the shower)
Positives: My face did feel radiant after using it but I feel that it doesn't do enough for me to repurchase it and the stinging scares me way too much. Also the smell Absolutely kills me.
I recieved a sample in my ipsy bag. After all the horrible review and knowing how sensitive my skin is I was a bit hesitant to use however went for it anyway. I LOVE This product. It smelled a little funky and goes on really funky, but overall result was a glowing face. I am sad my sample bottle is almost done and WILL be repurchasing. Just to be fair, it did burn a little going on but the product actually helped lighten my acne scarring
I got a sample size of this when I bought some stuff from MTTO. When I first applied it, it smelled so delicious, like pumpkin pie. But the smell got a little bit funky after leaving it on for just ten minutes. It's nice and smooth and easy to apply. I have acne-prone sensitive skin, so it definitely tingled a bit. To be fair, it did say on the tube itself that it is not meant for sensitive skin, but I decided to give it a go anyway. My face did feel very refreshed after washing it off, but I don't think it did anything else for me. I will finish the sample, but won't be purchasing the full size.
I was so excited to get this mask and finally try it out as so many people had raved about it.
First off, the smell. Smells straight up like baby food. The texture of this mask is also very similar to baby food, with small bits in it. I smoothed it over my face and noticed a slight tingling (which I still feel 20 min after taking this off AND washing my face) it's not a horrible tingle, but it's noticeable.
It rinsed away fine, and while my face does feel a bit tighter, there's a much bigger issue for me and my paler than NW15 skin.
My biggest problem with this mask, is that it stained my very fair skin orange, enough for my husband to look at me and ask what I had done as I looked gross (his word). Seriously, orange. Even after washing and exfoliating again and using toner....still orange.
I couldn't even tell you if my pores are any smaller as this tint makes it impossible.
If you have very fair skin, I would stay the hell away.
I received this pumpkin mask as a free gift with my purchase (which rules!) I have used it a few times and first of all, when I first put it on it BURNED so bad! I use masks to get a relaxing experience and that basically ruined it. It smells and looks like pumpkin so it is definitely organic which is good. I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. After about a minute the burning decreased but didn't go away. After I was it off however my skin does look glowing and pores have decreased but I feel as though I have to put on a pound of moisturizer to make the burning go away. I didn't receive any break outs (which is a miracle). Overall, not my favorite. Will not be repurchasing.
I was pleasantly surprised with this mask. It looks and feels a little strange but once you get over how much pumpkin is in this, it is amazing. You can feel it working and I really feel like it does a great job of exfoliating my skin. I have sensitive skin. Although I felt tingling when I first put it on, it did not burn or irritate my skin.
I received a free sample of this with my Michael Todd order and decided to finally try it out tonight. The smell is a bit off-putting, even though I love pumpkin, and it is difficult to apply it evenly but holy crap, it burned when I first put it on. Yes, I do have sensitive skin and I figured it was a reaction to another product I used but it seems like this is a problem for a lot of people, judging from the other reviews. The burning subsided a bit after a few seconds but I could not keep the mask on for longer than the recommended 5 minute minimum (probably even for less time).
I give it two stars because when I rinsed it off, my face felt very, very clean and looked very clear but it's just not worth it if it's going to cause me so much discomfort. There are way better masks for way cheaper.
I got this in my Ipsy Glam Bag. It burns when you put it on. It's so loose, not the consistency I would like in my masks.. It smells like pumpkin but that's fine. It issss organic after all. The good thing is my skin feels super soft after and my pores seem to be a lot better. Not really a long term result, though. What I don't like is that it leaves my skin with a dark bronze tint. I like my skin bright. Will not by the actual product, not the best product either.
My first impression of the product was the smell. Blchhh. I can't think of anything more descriptive for it than just simply blchhh. And the consistency is drippy and difficult to apply with any precision. I definitely wouldn't feel confident putting it anywhere even in the vicinity of my eyes. My forehead was even out of the question.
I put my initial impressions aside and went forward with my mask application. It was nearly impossible to keep on because of the smell. And then the burn set in. It wasn't a "oh my lord I can't stand it" burn but it definitely was a bit concerning. I stuck it out for about 7 minutes and went ahead and rinsed. Aside from all the negatives, I gave two lipsticks due to the way my skin felt after rinsing. It definitely make my skin more smooth, likely due to the enzyme and acid content. As for the claim that it's for "all skin types", I would definitely disagree. My skin is pretty resilient and I still felt pretty raw after it's use. A good moisturizer was definitely necessary to calm my skin down a bit.
All in all, I wouldn't either recommend nor repurchase this product.
I was super excited to try this product as it boasted to moisturize and nourish skin and my cheeks were pretty dry as of late. My first thought about the product was that it looked and smelled like baby food. It really put me off but I decided to give it a go anyways. Sitting on my skin, the smell was almost nauseating. When I washed it off, my skin was glowing and felt amazing. Although the results were good, I would not recommend or use this product based solely on its smell.
