I have this in cocoa radiant, and I am loving it! My skin is normal, with my calves and feet a bit dryer. I use this after I get out of the shower, and it takes me in total less than a minute to apply all over which is wonderful! I just spray all over, rub it in, and it really does absorb right away. Absorbing does not mean it just dissipated, as my skin is much smoother and more hydrated. This is great for normal skin, but I still use heavier lotion on my calves and feet. The scent of the cocoa radiant felt a bit fake to me, like artificial chocolate candy, but I have gotten used to it. Warning, this scent will linger on fabrics/bedding. Overall, this is a great product for those with normal skin who want to just spray and go!
really liking this stuff! it isn't a heavy moisturizer, so if you need something really rich it may not do the trick, but i hate taking time to put on lotion after showering so for me it's perfect. sinks in very quickly and has a cool light scent that disappears. my skin feels softer but not greasy or clammy at all.
I'll make this short and sweet... I wanted to love this product, but I don't. I was hoping it would be similar to spray sunscreens - an easier application, but the product is still the same. I found the formula to be too thin and watery. When I spray this on and rub it into my skin, I barely feel moisturized, and feel like I'm still wet from the product.
With the product being not what I wanted, and the higher than expected price tag ($5.47 at Walmart in Canada, and $9.99 at Shoppers), I couldn't justify buying this spray lotion again.
I held off on buying this lotion for two reasons - spray lotions seem a bit gimmick-y and I hate, hate, hate body lotion. I need body lotion because my skin is like the Sahara without it, but I hate the ick nasty sticky feeling it leaves behind. I'm also not a huge fan of Vaseline lotions because they are generally underwhelming. They're good and fairly cheap but with so many smell good lotions around, it's easy to get side tracked.
I bought the cocoa butter formula because, due to the mosquitoes that dominate the area in which I live, my legs are marked by bug bites, scratches where I itched those bug bites in my sleeps and awesome, awesome brown marks. This spray pretty much does live up to it's promise. It sprays a fine mist of lotion, it dries quickly and doesn't leave you feeling sticky and gross. You really can dress right after applying this and not have a feeling of sticking to your clothes. If you live in a humid climate like I do, you'll likely love that last point. I found the spray bottle works fairly well. No clogging/spray when and where it wants to spray issues.
I took off one lippie for a few reasons. First (and maybe this is just me), you have to apply quite a bit to get good coverage. The mist is very fine and while it feels like I sprayed a lot, I didn't use enough to cover certain areas adequately. Evidently there's a method one is suppose to use when applying this (I found a step by step guide on Amazon of all places). Second, this is way, way overpriced. I bought a 6.5 oz bottle, which I believe is the only size available at the moment, for nearly $7 at Wal-Mart. A 32 oz bottle of the same lotion runs about the same price. Yes, yes, I know we're paying for the convenience of the spray bottle here but how expensive can it be to put the same lotion they already make in an aerosol can?
The small size, coupled with the price and how much you have to use to get good coverage gives me enough pause to reconsider purchasing this again. I love that it makes applying lotion faster and easier (especially on those days when you're feeling extra lazy) but I think Vaseline should either make the bottle bigger or reduce the price a bit.
This lotion stresses me out simply because it does everything it's advertised but I feel like I'm getting ripped off as far as quantity for price. I bought the green aloe and I really do love it, the application is wonderful, just a light spray, then rub it in quickly and it absorbs very fast with no greasy residue. There's only a very light scent that completely fades away after a few minutes. It is the ideal moisturizer, spray then rub it in for a few seconds and you're on your way. Yes, it's impressive but for a mass market retailer like Vaseline I expected the bottle to be a lot bigger for the price, I paid just under $ 6.00 CDN regular price before taxes for 184 grams of product. That seems quite expensive to me because it won't take long at all to use up the bottle I have now. I'm not willing to buy this again simply because it's convenient to use. I'll use this one up and then go back to my Body Shop coconut milk spray lotion.
I was excited when I first heared about the Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer.
So I bought two of them, the green (Aloë Vera) and the yellow (Essential Moisture).
First of all, I like the fact that it dries so quickly. I could literally just spray it on my legs, rub it in and leave, without having the sticky-legs-thing all day long. I love it!
Both, Aloë Vera and Essential Moisture, smell good, but I like the Essential Moisture (yellow) even more. The smell is fresh and light.
I think the bottle itself is quite big and heavy, so it's not suitable for taking it with you in your bag, which is a pity. I'd definitely buy the product again, despite of it's price (compared to ''usual'' bodylotions I think it's quite expensive).
Not bad! I imagine this would work better in the summer than in the winter. But, the convenience can't be beat. My one complaint: I got the yellow bottle, and the smell is too strong/perfumey for my taste. I plan on trying the others though. I'm really hoping some more companies follow suit and make lotion sprays (I know there are 1 or 2 already), but with a mild scent or none at all.
I really like this lotion when I am in a hurry but I try to not use it as much because of the ingredients..
Was lemming this for a long time (to the point that I had a dream about it...) and am SO glad I finally picked it up. I chose the green bottle - the Aloe version, since it's still hot and I wanted something light and refreshing. I have so many lotions, creams and body butters...but am beyond lazy when it comes to remembering to put them on after showers. This makes moisturizing my entire body so quick and easy (and dare I say, fun?). The Aloe lotion is thin, slippery, and melts into my skin without feeling heavy or greasy. It smells fresh and leaves my body feeling quenched.
I am interested in trying the Shea Butter version in the winter months!
I really wanted to love this product, I hate having to put moisturizer on my body because it takes forever to dry and I just rather skip it all together but of course that is not an option. I bought the cocoa radiant and within an hour I broke out into a huge rash.
I've used cocoa butter in the past so I can't say I might have been allergic to the cocoa and it definitely was not from something I ate because the rash was only on the parts I sprayed. Maybe I got a bad bottle or something but I definitely will not be testing it out further to see if it is.
Sadly I thought this was a good solution to my being lazy and not want to apply moisturizer from a bottle but I think I will go back to the old fashion squeeze bottle.
Update: I wrote to Vaseline and they were so kind and sent me some manufacturer coupons to try some of their other products as well as a return to sender package so they could test and make sure that the bottle was not contaminated.
