This taupey eye shadow (actually, it's a refill--you have to separately buy a case or use it in your own palette) is a beautifully textured, shimmery mix of khaki, silver and a touch of gold. I have blue eyes and neutral/coolish coloring, and it is beautiful, surprisingly. The green read is extremely subtle. It is darker and a bit cooler than my beloved, discontinued ME 851, but it is a keeper and I would rebuy. Not sure how I'd do it though--this color is not listed on Shu's US site (I bought it in Canada). To compare it with one that is, this shadow is cooler, with less green and less gold than ME Olive 742.
Shu Uemura ME Olive 471 is a seriously attractive color. Calling it olive is almost too simplistic. It is an olive, yes, but it seems to be almost deconstructed: it has more blue in it than I see in most olives and it has a golden shimmer. Less sage-y than Lancome Erika F but with that slightly dirtied, greyed feel. And the formula is fantastic. Shu metallics have this liquidy luster that somehow isn't too frosty. They feel so, so creamy-smooooove to the touch and they last well, better than similarly-luscious-feeling Shiseido powder shadows.
