I used SKII Facial Treatment essence for years and I decided to try this out and found this actually work the same as SKII on my skin. My friend told me I look more radiant with this product. The smell compared to SKII is much better. And the price is even better.
I was curious to try this essence based on all the rave reviews and feedback on it and am so glad I did! I loved it so much that I actually bought 5 bottles of this stuff and gave some to my mom!
This essence really does help improve skin quality and appearance. My mom has extremely bad eczema on her hands and hasn't seen much improvement after countless dermatologist visits and prescribed medications. That all changed once I gave her this essence along with Time Revolution's Night Serum. Just after the first use, she felt and saw a difference in her skin (face and hands). Although the itchiness would continuously come back, the essence would help calm it down and after about less than a week, her hands softened due to her skin being able to regenerate faster than it got irritated (if that makes any sense at all), wrinkles on her hand were minimized, and her skin lightened! It helped with dark spots on the face as well and, I suppose used in conjunction with her other skincare, her face was more radiant and glowy!
I have given her other snail products and essences to try which have also helped her.
As for my own experience, I've only been using this for about a month and it definitely restored some radiance in my appearance. I haven't any wrinkles yet and hopefully it stays that way since I'm big on preventing rather than treating!
I didn't have much luck with the SK-II Essence (it basically did the opposite of what it claimed to do for my skin), so I had very low expectations for this one, but decided to try it out after reading up on the impressive ingredients list. I've noticed a huge improvement in the pores around my T-zone, they're tighter and my blackheads seem to be staying away. The skin is smoother, and feels (not oily) but plump and moisturised all day long. I've also noticed that my cheeks aren't as red as they used to be. This product definitely kicks SK-II out of the ring in my case, on quality and price. I purchased mine from RoseRose's Shop on sale for $25, and it's double the size of SK-II's bottle!
I used an entire bottle of SK-11 and loved it but I was curious to try the First Treatment Essence. I found it on sokoglam.com and looked up the review skinandtonic. I read about the fermented yeast in the MISSHA product vs. the fermented yeast in the SK product and thought it might be similar enough. The product has a slightly thicker consistency than the SK version and it smells different. There is a tackiness on my hands after I press the product into my skin whereas the SK product didn't leave any noticeable anything on my hands. I've used it for about a week and so far, I really like it. I haven't had any breakouts and it is soothing and gets rid of redness temporarily. I'll have to use it for the full 28 days of skin turnover to be completely sold, but so far I'm loving it.
I don't have much luck with Missha products but this one is fantastic. I decided to give it a shot when I read numerous reviews comparing to SK-II's facial treatment essence. I can't afford that one, so I decided to buy this one! My skin is normal pretty much? A little oily in the t-zone as the day goes by. Presently, my skin is not as smooth and clear as it should be. I have used more than 90% of my first bottle and I am enjoying the results. My skin feels so much smoother and calm when I use this toner. I use this morning and night after washing my face and patting it dry. I let the product absorb before placing anymore treatments [serum/moisturizer if needed]. I tried going a week without this [while on vacation] and my skin appeared lackluster. It doesn't break me out.
My only problem if anything would the bulky glass packaging. Although it is nice and elegant, I am afraid of breaking it or accidentally dropping it. But I suspect the glass packaging is for storing the product properly. Would I buy again? Yes! Especially if Missha has a sale. I was lucky and bought this when they offered a free bottle with any $50+ purchase. So hopefully that lasts till the next sale, and then I will buy again =]
I used to think Lancome's youth activating concentrate was the only product that could give me smooth skin. I was wrong. I stopped using that. With this product, I get the same results! Good stuff.
I really like Missha and wanted to love this product. However, it seemed to really break me out badly - not sure if it was this alone or the other Missha skincare products I tried, but I do feel this contributed to it.
Had to give to my mom - hope it works better on her.
I took a chance on this product, as I had become a fan of other Missha products as of late. As I've gotten older, I'm seeing some fine lines and tired looking skin. I've only been using this product for two weeks, but I already see an improvement of my skin tone and fine lines. My elevens are almost non exhistant. This pleases me to no end! My pores are clearer and smaller and my skin just looks healthy. I would absolutely buy this again!
I'm on my 2nd bottle of First Treatment Essence. I haven't used the SK-II version so I can't make a comparison of the two. I can say that I really love First Treatment Essence. You use this before you use your toner and by toner, I mean the Korean brand toners which seem to have a more gel-like consistency and not the astringent Western types. The insert in the package says you use this right after you cleanse your face then you use your toner next, then essence or serum, eye cream, lotion and finally cream (if you need it). It has a very watery consistency so you can either use a cotton pad (which uses a lot of the product) or you can put some on your hands, cup your hands to get product on both hands then apply to your face by patting gently on your face. I've tried both methods and I think applying with your hands seems to be more effective. I've noticed that my skin is smoother and the tone has even out greatly. I had a facial the other day and the aesthetician said my skin tone was great and for once she didn't say my skin was a little dehydrated. It's also made my pores appear smaller but I think that's due to the lightening effect on my skin and not that they have actually shrunk. I order from the Missha US website because they have great sales. There's nothing about the packaging or the product that appears cheap. There's a slight yeasty smell to it, but it wasn't enough to turn me away from using this. Also by the time you apply your toner and moisturizer the yeasty smell would have been covered up by whatever you apply afterwards anyway.
This product is copycat of SK-II Facial treatment essence with a fraction of price. I've been using Sk-II for 10 years and I love it but it's so expensive so I'm really glad I found the dupe, not only is much cheaper....It's better...It's more moisturizing than SK-II one.
