Hats off to u, Drew Barrymore!!! (If I even speller tht right) this mascara is awesome, even though u don't see a huge difference with the settings. I use it to separate my lashes after I apply my covergirl mascara (cuz if the awesome brush) & it makes them thicker & more fluffy ;) the price isn't terrible, but could be better. Removes easily & will defs be repurchasing :)
This mascara is DEFINITELY underrated. I have extremely oily eyelids so most mascaras will flake and result in black smudges under my eyes. However, this mascara not only holds my eyelash curl--it also does not smudge (it will flake a tiny bit, but this is very minimal and will only happen if I accidentally touch my eyelashes). The three-in-one wand thing is a great concept. It doesn't make a huge difference between which wands you use, but this mascara gives you all the volume and length you need regardless of whether or not you have sparse Asian eyelashes...like me! Definitely worth the value and I'll probably be getting the waterproof formula soon.
This is SUCH an innovative idea. I love it. And I love the results but, I feel that they could be better. My lashes became a little weighed down over the day.
I bought this mascara based on the great reviews. I have pretty long and thick lashes. The different wands don't really make a difference on my lashes, but i will admit it is a cool concept. It's really nice for separation because not a lot of product comes out on the wand, so it doesn't clump up. It provides nice natural lashes, but it doesnt build up a lot. The only thing i dont really like mascara is the fact that it does flake throughout the day. Because of that, i might just toss it. I definitely won't repurchase. Instead, i would recommend Lash Blast Fusion or The Falsies Flared.
I've never written a review before (on any site) but made a MakeupAlley account just for this mascara. I've only shopped at Walmart once or twice before but went to get this mascara after reading reviews. I have sparse, Asian lashes, and usually only wear eyeliner to define my eyes, never mascara because I've tried them all: high end (Dior Show, Stila, Lorac) to, drugstore, like the Rocket. The Zoom In mascara is amazing. It doesn't clump, run, or flake into my eyes or on my face, yet it is really easy to take off at night. It holds a curl and really volumizes. It's a dry formula so I had to get used to that. The brush is fun to play with and I have found that the "volumize" setting really does add volume moreso than the other brush settings. I like the length too, but I'm really after great volume. I have sensitive eyes and thin lashes and mascara always pulls my eyelashes out. This is amazing. I love the Flower brand's message and I do think the quality is really great. No more trying expensive mascara brands and being disappointed, or falling for the gimmick-y commercialized ones that seem to come out weekly. I'm officially a mascara-wearer because of this product. I'll even hunt down Walmart for it.
Meh. Bought this based on the reviews here and wasn't really that impressed. It didn't do much for my lashes and I really couldn't see any difference when I twisted the wand for the three different "looks" - lengthening, curling, volume. My lashes looked the same each time. Perfectly OK for someone looking for really natural, barely-notice-em lashes, but I prefer a more dramatic effect. Great price though.
I love this mascara as it lengthens and volumizes my tiny little lashes. I don't have any issues with the packaging or price, however, it is VERY hard to remove. I bought the normal formula, not the waterproof and it still takes a while to get it off my lashes. I've tried removing it with multiple brands of makeup remover and none of them make it any easier which is why I'm only giving it 4 lippies. It doesn't smudge or flake which is my biggest annoyance so I would love nothing more than to give it 5 it takes too much effort to remove...
I have continued to use this mascara and am giving it an additional lippie. I learned by twisting the cap of the brush, you can reconfigure the shape to add length and curl. What I did notice was the more twists you added to the brush, the more clumping occurred so I am only adding 1 more lippie since I don't like that in order to get the length, volume and curl; one has to deal with clumps.
I read about DB's line in the latest edition (Fall Fashion Edition) of Instyle Magazine. I have always admired DB and decided to give her make-up line a try. Since it is only sold at Wal-Mart I put it on my list so I wouldn't forget since I only go there to buy TP, PT and household cleaners.
I picked up 3 lipsticks, 1 gloss, 2 eyeshadow palettes, 1 liner and this mascara. The most expensive items were the 2 shadow palettes/quads and they were less than $10.
This mascara was supposed to do it all; Volumize, curl and lengthen so my rating would have been 5 lippies if it performed all its boasted functions. I found the mascara to be a beautiful black color - 1 lippie, the brush was nice and separated my lashes so no clumping occurred - 1 lippie. As far as the claims to add volume while lengthening and curling...didn't happen for me. I did see more volume - another lippie, but it's claims for curling and lengthening just didn't occur. I had to go over my lashes with my true blue, can always depend on mascara to finish the job.
If I didn't need length I wouldn't be so picky, but my lashes are scrawny, thin and short so I need length and volume. It really is a lovely mascara, just didn't do all it claimed. I think this is perfect for someone who needs color and volume but not length and curl as well.
this is SO underrated. it is my HG mascara. it just really is the only mascara that gives my lashes the effect that I want. Very feathery and almost like I'm not even wearing mascara. its perfect! I bought backups incase they DC this (hopefully they wont bc its fairly new). I'm in love with thia and now I wont have to spend $19 on the Benefit Badgal mascara i was previously loving because this is far better.
In the many years that I have worn makeup, mascara is my essential. My eyes look small and piggy without it. I have decent lashes but they're blonde, so without a tint, they're invisible. So the most basic of mascaras should work for me, right? Wrong! I also have oily eyelids which means the kinds I've loved in the past (Clinique Glossy, Aveda, CoverGirl NatureLuxe) have disappointed me by gravitating above and below my eyes - and not is a punk, smudgy way, but in a crazy homeless lady kind of way. Then I went on a quest with all these new fiber mascaras only to have the worst of the worst happen: flaking. In my eyes. While I'm driving. And I wear contacts. My mascara has almost killed me on several occasions.
So, after too many trials to count, I finally decided to try out Drew Barrymore's FLOWER cosmetic line. I grabbed this particular mascara because the brush wasn't too fat and the bristles looked good for separating. I was not paying proper attention (probably because I was in Wal-Mart and desperate to get out!) and I didn't notice that it had the twisty brush device and I also ended up grabbing brown instead of black, and waterproof instead of regular. But I got it home, and, after my initial "huh?" and slight disappointment, I sucked it up and tried it. Perfect. The brown was dark enough to tint my lashes and works much better for my every day natural look. The coating is smooth and I can do two layers without getting spider lashes. I've been using it for almost a month now and not a flake. Zero irritation.
I've played around with the twisty mechanism and haven't really noticed a difference with the application. I also have not gone back yet to get a non-waterproof tube, but I'm sure I will eventually and will try black in both regular formula and waterproof. But so far, this has been the perfect mascara for me. Finally.
