This is excellent used as a night cream.I've used the original moisture surge on and off but never really liked the consistency or the fact it was packed in a jar. This comes in a 100ml tube for £29, so it's really not that expensive. The original was a gel but this is a lovely thick cream.I apply quite a thick layer , off to bed and in the morning my skin is super soft to the touch and well hydrated. It's not greasy and absorbs well. This is full of good ingredients, no alcohol or fragrance, a must for me.Great eye cream as well, can be used around the eyes.I don't use this every night, maybe about three times a week. You can start off using nightly depending on your skin type, then as skin improves cut it down, you will still see results. You can use your usual serum under this if you need to.I cleanse tone and then apply this.I do NOT use the Clinique 3 step system as I HATE it.I have a love/hate relationship with Clinique. But this mask is a winner.Wouldn't be without it now.
I love this mask. It leaves my skin plump, glowing and bright - and above all looking healthy and hydrated. I use it on my entire face and body every night. I feel like I'm made of silk when I get into bed and the next day my skin looks lovely. I wish the moisture properties were more potent. I feel like I need a little more moisture which is the only reason I took a lippie away. I'm running out fast since I use lots and lots of it every night but it's worth it. I can't believe iIhaven't thought of using a moisture mask for my body before because the results are amazing. Now to find something a little more hydrating... Until then though I will repurchase.
I just got into Clinique skincare. I don't buy into all of their products. But if you dig around, you will find some hidden gems. This is one of them! A lot of models and celebrities have long known about the beauty secret of overnight masks. I think this maybe more essential than moisturizer, in some cases.
The formula is rich and creamy, though it glides on your skin like silk. I don't think that I have ever owned a moisturizer of this consistency. It really feels like LUXURY! The price is pretty up there. But considering that you don't use this daily and in small amounts...I am hoping this will last one year. If you get it on sale, it can cost around $28 verses the $34 original price.
My skin drinks this cream up fairly quickly. I don't have t go to bed with the feeling of slick skin on the face. I wake up with the ultimate smoothness. Highly recommend.
Treat your skin well, ladies and gentlemen!
I love using this as an overnight moisturizer, it is so rich and luxurious yet it sinks right in and doesn't leave my skin greasy at all. Makes my skin soft and smooth and hydrated, I am very pleased with the results I get from this. Yes it's pricey, but $33 gets you a 3.4oz tube (hooray, a tube not a jar!) that will last for months and months.
Generally speaking I am a fan of Clinique skincare, but I don't like ALL of their products. This one though, is one of their gems. Would definitely repurchase- LOVE!!
I've been using this for six months now and I usually apply after using my intense clay mask that sucks the life out of my pores or after application of my glycolic 17% serum. Even though I have oily/combo skin I have not experienced any negative skin reactions. It actually enhances my nighttime serums and provides the necessary balance of moisture during the chilly winter season. I will definitely repurchase this gem in the future.
After a rough, cold New England winter my skin was left with flaky patches. I've tried several moisturizing masks before but never really liked any of them. So, I bought this new Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask. Why not try one more mask. Well, I no longer have to look for a great moisture mask. This is the one.
Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is a creamy textured lotion. It has no fragrance which is wonderful for those of us who may be sensitive or don't like certain scents. This lotion comes in a handy tube so the product stays clean and is easy to dispense.
You can use this product two ways. First, as a moisture mask which you apply to clean skin and leave on a while to let your skin drink this in. Or you can can use this as a night time moisturizer by applying this as you would a regular product. That's how I actually use this most often. Following my nightly cleansing I apply Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask instead of another product. I use a lima bean sized amount for my face, eye socket and throat areas. The formula absorbs quickly and doesn't leave me looking like a grease ball. It just leaves my skin soft, smooth and plump. This has helped a lot to relieve those dry, flaky patches I've been suffering from. It hasn't caused any breakouts or clogs either.
LOVES THIS. I think one of the root causes of my skin problems (oiliness, random dry spots, itchiness, random breakouts, etc) is that my skin is just dehydrated in general. I'm now living in a tropical area, where I'd spend almost all of the hours of the day in a dry-conditioned area. Sometimes they'd just crank up the AC really high here too... Anyways, I've always been afraid of night creams and moisturizers cause my skin is just super-sensitive, acne-prone, and gets very easily clogged up. Rich formula was always a no-no for me, and day moisturizer was never enough for night use, those really important hours when your skin just needs to breathe and cell-renewal and regeneration rate is at its finest hours.
But then, I came across some really great reviews of this product on MUA, and I couldn't resist. And just amazing! I would slather this product on my face once every one or two nights (except for those nights when I am not having one of my clay-masque sessions, as I'd use my serums after those sessions instead). I would massage this on my face for about half a minute or so, and leave whatever thin layer left on my skin overnight. Don't worry if in the morning you'd feel that there is still that bit of layer left on your skin, just do your facial morning routine as usual. End Results: Calmed, plumped-up skin, sooooft, and no dry spots to be found. I have been using this product for about 3-4 weeks, and pretty much the same results every morning (except for the breakouts when I was really stressed out, but seriously there is no such thing as a miracle product that could completely prevent breakouts from stress). Also, no clogged-up skin, no stinging sensations, and no breakouts because of the product. Overall, love the product, great packaging as well in the tube form. It's just sooo expensive *sighs*. Those with oily, sensitive, easily clogged-up skin, do give this a try!
Thought of getting a rinse off mask at first, but when I head to the counter, I was told that there was no hydrating rinse off mask. The person asked me to get this and if I would like, I can rinse it off.. I thought why not give it a try. I ended up love this soooo much! I do it twice to three times a week since I have dry combination skin. Applied a thick layer after cleansing and exfoliating. Skin feel really smooth and hydrated after, moisturizer is easily apply and absorb.. I'm in love with this mask!
I really like the packaging for Clinique's BB cream, CC cream, and moisture surge overnight mask. All of these products have tremendously helped my dry skin but Clinique's moisture surge has repaired my problematic dry patches that i've had for several months now. I love that this mask is to be applied at night when my skin is totally clean and pure and my pores are ready to be hydrated. In the morning my face has a beautiful translucent glow.
first of i love the fact its in a tube container so controlling the amount released is easy. ive seen complaints about it not soaking in and i had the same problem...so the steps i take are wash, tone, moisturize and let that moisturizer soak in really well and then right before bed i take a small amount of this product...maybe the size two pencil erasers and apply it over my face and neck and it soaks in well. i had dry skin on my nose for months that nothing took care of except this. i think the key is being conservative with the amount used. the smell is mild to non existant and the cream is not heavy or greasy. i will always have this product on hand.
