So far I'd re-buy this. I have very acne prone skin. This moisturizes just enough without feeling greasy or dry after applying. My acne is actually clearing up right now. I'm not sure if it's this, the Shea Moisture African Black soap, or a combination of the two. Either way I'm happy with my skin now.
I think it reacted with the benzoyl peroxide acne medicine I use, and makes my face red and itchy. Almost like a comical burn. It didn't burn when I skipped the BP but it does make me pretty pink still. Also left me oily feeling.
I like the fact that it doesn't smell like sun screen & it's not a super thick consistency. Leaves my skin feeling soft. The packaging is nice to.
My skin is oily with occasional breakouts, not extremely sensitive but has reacted to a few products in the past.
I was looking for a new moisturizer and saw this. It has 3 kinds: one for normal, dry, or sensitive skin. I went for the sensitive one cuz I was in a hurry and my first impression when I applied it was that it felt nice on my skin. However, a few hours later, my skin was oily and it was rather red and bumpy and greasy, almost irritated. The weird thing is, whenever I put this on at night and wake up in the morning, my skin looks fine. No redness or breakouts. But during the day, it's totally opposite.
I took a closer look at the packaging and it says that its purpose is to mainly prevent sunburn. I did see SPF on the bottle but just about every moisturizer has SPF in it, so I didn't really think it was sunscreen. But L'Oreal says on their packaging that it is, and that's actually what it is. A sunscreen. Not a good moisturizer.
My question is, why not put it in the sunscreen aisle of the store and why advertise it as moisturizer when your packaging says different?
I will not repurchase because I am mostly in need of a REAL moisturizer. Not a sunscreen.
If you need a facial sunscreen in the summer then try this. If you need a moisturizer, look the other way.
I have oily skin and this day lotion doesn't make any oilier. Non-greasy, oil-free, and it has SPF25 for both UVA and UVB and claims 48 hours moisture. I wash my face at least twice a day so I can't prove that 48 hrs claim. No sun burn in the winter outings but obvious reason, this is not sufficient for summer beach trip.
I paid $7 for 4oz bottle from CVS with regular price. I also bought "normal skin" version (no expiration date for SPF) and I got greasy face pretty fast. These must be new products, I can't find in many stores. Both bottles I bought are the last ones from the case (CVS locked them up). Both are made in USA, unlike most Olay products.
I posted pictures above and you can also see ingredients.
