"Patchouli in all its original regal glory. With notes of myrrh, cedar wood and spice, this sumptuous perfume will cloak you in seductive mystery all winter long."
I used to love patchouli in all forms (even the cheap, headshoppy patchouli oils), but I'm really picky about it these days and tend to shy away from the dirtier, heavier, motor oil-esque types. Reminiscence Paris and Thierry Mugler are my go-to brands for patchouli.
Patchouly Rosso falls into the category of being a bit too dirty and heavy smelling for me. I wish that the myrrh and cedar notes were stronger. They add a nice warmth and depth to the scent when they stick around, but the drydown of this is pretty much all patchouli on my skin.
Patchouly Rosso is a very dark, heavy patchouli. It's not awful, but it's a bit too dirty and strong for my tastes. It definitely has that quality about it that reminds me of motor oil.
