Well...I liked this at first. Non-drying, my skin was happy, removed makeup, seemed to rinse clean. Unfortunately, I started to notice a film developing in my sink due to the cleanser. I wouldn't purchase again for this reason alone. Although, I thought my face was fine, no film there, especially since I wash with a facial sponge; I was incorrect. Since the product was leaving a film in my sink, I decide to use it to shave my legs. The skin on my legs is darker than my face, and after shaving, I could see a noticable film on my legs...Turns out this cleanser leaves a film everywhere. Not one you can feel, but one you can see.

I use this cleanser in the shower and in the morning/night before moisturizing. It has a creamy texture and a soft green/floral scent.

My skin type: dehydrated, dry, flaky, acne-prone, sensitive.

The benefits of the Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser:
- Immediately softer skin
- Dirt, oil, and makeup is washed off
- No flaky skin
- Fine-lines that form due to dehydration are less noticable
- No redness/itchiness from sensitivity to formula

Highly recommended to those who share the same skin concerns as me.

My skin has gradually changed from oily to normal/dry over the past couple of years. Once I realized that the cleansers I used during my oily times wasn't working for me anymore I knew I had to get a more hydrating cleanser. I picked up burt's bees on a whim while at the drugstore. I like the brand over all because of it using mostly natural ingredients. The price isn't so bad, I got it for $9.
Ok, the smell. It smells pretty good. It's citrus-y and smells like oranges. The cleanser is a cream cleanser and it's smooth and creamy. Before I used another cream cleanser from whole foods also because of its natural ingredients. But I hated it because it stung my face. But the burt's bees one doesn't sting at all and it's super hydrating! If you have dry patches, this cleanser smooths your out your skin and hydrates it pretty well. It also soothes and calmes down the redness on my cheeks. My skin looks and feel better after a week of use. I think it helped clear a couple of pimples I had. However, i have black heads/clogged pores on my nose and cheek area and the cleanser doesn't seem to improve or worsen that area. I exfoliate to take care of that though.
The cleanser claims to take off makeup but I doubt it does an effective job. Just use makeup remover which I always do anyway.
For packaging, the tube it great to get the right amount.
Overall, I'll definitely repurchase.

I originally bought this for my bf who has dry skin, but then I tried it and bought another one because it's so awesome. I actually love the smell, and my skin feels soft and moisturized after I use it.

I have oily skin, first off. So you may ask yourself, why would you use an intese HYDRATION cleanser? I have had dry skin during the winter with an oily t-zone. The wind causes OOBER dry skin that is flaking. I needed a good cleanser that wouldn't strip my skin. This is that product! Hydrating, and because it mosturizes, it makes your skin look nicer. Great product, a little expensive. I purchased mine for $10, which seems to be the standard price. I also use it in conjuction witht the intense hydration night cream, which is also great, but $18. Youc an find this product at CVS, walmart, or ulta as far as i have seen. Hope you like it :) Will be repurchasing for next winter!

This is a very nice cleanser for my skin. My skin has been drier than normal this winter and finding a good cleanser has proved challenging. It does a good job of cleaning my skin without stripping it of it's natural oils. I am prone to blackheads and *fingers crossed* so far it hasn't clogged my pores. I will buy this again but maybe only when my skin it drier. It might be too much for my skin when the weather gets warmer.

Good cleanser; it gets my makeup off (as evidenced by the lack of it on my cotton pad after toning (Boots Botanics Complexion Refining)), but after using it, my face doesn't FEEL clean. It's probably the moisturizing properties that stay on after cleansing, but it really feels odd (especially since I've been using acne products that strip your skin of all moisture after cleansing lol). The good news is that I have not once broken out when using this product, even when layering with the Intense Hydration Day Lotion (which is a godsend and I use exclusively). So at least whatever is left on my skin doesn't irritate it. Because of this feeling, I only use this cleanser when I'm in dire need of extra moisturizing- which isn't so often since I've been pairing my normal (oxy) cleanser with the IH Day Lotion and IH Night Creme (another holy grail item). I don't know if I'd use this line in the summer, as it really is INTENSE but I love it for these cold, dry winter months! My skin is really looking fantastic- better than ever I'd say.

The smell? lol, I like it. Sometimes I lift the lid just to take a whiff. The sage is really relaxing. But I'm one of those home remedy peeps who loves herbs and all their beneficial uses.

This line is pricey, but well worth it to me.

This stuff is great! I have combination/acne prone skin so I need something that can care for all of my skin's sensitive needs. My sin was so dry and flaky and was breaking out before I used this. I already had a good moisturizer, but my cleanser was drying my skin out. This really does clean off all of your makeup and keeps your skin moisturized. I also liked the smell of it, it reminds me of that zebra stripe gum I bought as a kid haha

I recently tried out two products from the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration line complimentary of being a Bzzagent. One of the products I received and tested was the IH CREAM CLEANSER: retail $12.99. These are some of my personal findings of the product.
PROS:
-i liked the creamy, light weight consistency of the product
-easy to apply and the way it washed off was great (it didnt leave a film/you dont have to keep scrubbing at your face to remove the product)
-i did find after the week of use my face seemed to be smoother to the touch
-it removed my makeup and my face did feel fresh and clean afterwords
-loved that it was all natural and not tested on animals!!!
-size and amount of product was very generous

CONS:
-the smell (im assuming the clary sage) was not the most pleasant, almost smelled a bit medicinal or old lady perfume to me
-i would have preferred if you could put it around your eyes to remove eye makeup as well but it says clearly not to get around eyes-I prefer my cleansers to clean my eye makeup to save me an additional step
-little costly for a cleanser considering there are many other drugstore competitors

Summary:
I would rate this product a 3.5-4/5 as it states what the label says its supposed to do-moisturize- and i love animal friendly products. It was just the smell i wasnt impressed with and the "not cleaning eye makeup" part. However, I would repurchase again as the product delivers what the label promises.

Ugh, I'm so conflicted! I'm on Retin-A Micro and my skin is definitely going through its peeling and purging stage. As a formerly super-oily girl, I don't have many cleansers that cater to my now sahara-dry skin. I picked this up the other day, since I was drawn to the "intense hydration" it promised, and Burt's Bees generally doesn't let me down.

Pros:
*my skin does feel "intensely hydrated" after using. The cleanser is a nice consistency, doesn't really suds up (due to the welcoming absence of sodium laurel sulfate), but gives a nice clean and rinses well.

Cons:
*THE SMELL. The "clary sage" ingredient responsible for the hydration properties has such a strong smell. Parfum/fragrance is near the top of the ingredients list, ranking 9th out of 41 ingredients. If it were fainter, I might find it pleasant, but it's a really overwhelming sickenly-sweet smell that I just can't stand. I have to breathe through my mouth when I use it.

So there's the conflict. I love how it makes my skin feel, but I don't know if I can make it through the entire tube due to its assault on my olfactory senses. I guess time will tell.
