Only thing good was the price.
No length at all.
Definitely no volume.
I just had short little sticks on my eyes. Oh wait, I have those without mascara. ugh.
Plus it made my lashes break off & it was hard to remove.
Thank goodness it was only $3. Although I wish had the $3 back to put toward a $10 mascara I may actually like.
I've been using this for two weeks now and I'm still learning the most effective way of applying this since its formula and wand are different from usual. For now, all I know is that applying needs some patience and time; never apply this in a hurry or else it'll end up messy, perhaps because of the ball-shaped tip. If applied correctly, you'll see length and definition, and a little volume. Never overcoat your lashes as well; they can cause clumping and that was my experience from the first time I used it. It doesn't smudge or flake off. It's long-lasting. I don't know why some people are having a hard time revoming it because for me, it easily comes off using a facial wash.
Additional tip: Wipe off excess product from your wand. It lessens clumpiness and mess. =)
Hahaha this crap sucks. Like you don't even know. The packaging is sturdy, yes, but I honestly have a difficult time getting the wand out of the tube. The brush is so weirdly shaped, stiff, and the bristles are waaaay too short. It smells funny, I can barely get any on my lashes, and it's just not worth it. There's really no positives to this mascara! I'd go for Maybelline Falsies if you're looking for big, thick lashes and don't waste your time and money trying to make this stuff work.
Like most of ELF's products, this is a "meh". Formulation is quite wet, but not clumpy at all, although I don't think this separates my lashes as much as I'd like. I can't see any volume really, just some length, and the effect is what most would call "natural". It doesn't smudge or flake on me and it's fine to take off with an oil-based remover.
The wand is rubbery and has a ball at the end, however what I really hate is that between the "normal" wand and the ball, there's this gap! So as you brush through your lashes, some of them just don't get covered. It's quite difficult to use overall.
It's a decent mascara for the money, but I'd save the few bucks and splurge on something more higher end... The bristles of the wand are too short for me. And all I notice is blacker lashes but not much lengthening or volumiz"ing".
Overall a "waste" of money but it's E.L.F. so not really. The formula does next to nothing for your lashes and the long blunt part of the brush is too long and the ball end can smear on your lid. I only use this to get rid of it and the ball end can be nice for the corners of the lash line. Got what I paid for.
I had high hopes for this, but it just didn't work for me. It didn't really look like I had much mascara on. When it dried, it felt waxy. I gave it plenty of time to dry, but it left smudges on my glasses & I've never had that happen with any other mascara. At least I'm only out 3 bucks.
Very good mascara for the price and to me at least comparable to the benefits they're real
I was excited about trying this mascara. The packaging looked sleek and have has luck with ELF mascara before. Unfortunately, I hated this. It went I great and at first, my lashes looked nice. However, throughout the day something weird happened and all my lashes started sticking together. The worst part was trying to remove it. All of my makeup removers I had couldn't get this stuff off. Will not be repurchasing.
Interesting product. This mascara comes in a beautiful package. Sleek, matte black tube for 3 bucks can't really be beat for a nice, simple mascara. The spoolie is a plastic wand that does its job in separating your lashes well without any pain like some others might do that are spikier or longer. The wand takes some getting used to in handling. Take a look at the photos that are uploaded. It has a little ball at the end which is handy for getting at your lower lashes or your outer lashes or just swiping across your entire lash line. The mascara comes out of the tube without clumps, which is a plus. It also goes on smoothly, without clumps, also a plus. This 3 in 1 product gives a natural look for me. I don't see any type of volume to my lashes, however. What I do see is definition and a bit of lengthening. My lashes are short and blonde, so basically any mascara will give my lashes definition. It's the lengthening and volume where the difficulty arrives. I only have to use a few coats but the overall effect will be a very natural one, not one of major difference to my eyes. I then add other mascaras or fibers to get the effect I always want. This mascara doesn't weigh my lashes down or take away any curl.
It's easy to remove with an oil-based remover. It stays on until I take it off, without any major flaking. Overall, a pretty decent mascara for the money with a very good wand. Definitely worth a try.
