This is ridiculous. I don't know how they can label this as smudge proof, let alone waterproof, because it is neither. It also takes for ever to *kind of* set. I had it on my eyes for a good 15 minutes and it was still wet. The brush is also kind of hard to use, but not terrible. The consistency is very creamy and glides on nicely, but it doesn't even matter with how horrible this is in regards to setting/staying power. Don't waste your money. Rimmel, get your act together with this eyeliner!
OMG this is horrible! For one this is not waterproof and melts like crazy, and smudges off within the first few minutes of applying it. Do not recommend for anybody after the winged-eye look as it just smudges. Need suggestions in what else to try, because this just does not do it for me!

I honestly don't know why there are so many bad reviews! I bought this eyeliner at Boots because I was looking for a gel eyeliner in the drugstore market. I read the bad reviews after I had bought it but decided to give it a try anyway. I actually liked it. The brush isn't the best but honestly what do you expect? It's not a bad brush and I could get a nice flick with it. You just have to angle it correctly. The liner was pigmented but I did have to go over twice to get a real nice black. I live in a warm climate so I was a little concerned about the smudging but I had it on all day, and was outside too and it didnt smudge at all. For the price and quality it is a nice drugstore gel liner. You can't expect it to be as good as something such as Mac Blacktrack but it works. I will use this up and try other gel eyeliner too.
I actually like this product. I'm always on the lookout for a decent eyeliner, and this one seems to do the trick.
I hold the brush side-on for when I want a finer line, and that works great for me.
I'm kind of surprised on the poor reviews of this product. I haven't had any problems with it. It is my first gel liner, so I cannot compare it to any others, but I do like it better than my expensive charcoal pencil liner and my felt tip liquid liner. I had trouble applying at first but after a few times it was easy. The brush is nice, it is a good thickness for applying winged liner looks. People are talking about it is hard to get the inner corners with the thick brush, well if you hold it at a different angle you can use the thin side and create a thin line. Also, it helps to start with a thick line in the middle of your lid to your outer corner, then retrace a thinner line to your inner corners. Some people were complaining on a lack of pigment. My experience is much different. I barely have to use any and it is very dark. It glides on smooth. I can wear it all day and it does not run, smudge, or lose any color.

This is the only gel liner I've used so I've got nothing to compare it to but I think it's good for the price. I really love the packaging and find it so easy to use but it's not pigmented enough for me so I use black liquid liner over it. It lasts quite a long time on me but I would have rated it 5/5 if the colour had been darker.

I`ve been a fan of Rimmel eyeliners over the years and always appreciate a good gel liner, so I was excited to see Rimmel finally come out with their own gel version. I`ve used this liner a couple of times and honestly I think it`s a waste of money and a fail. First the applicator brush it comes with is useless and cumbersome. The formula has a creamy texture that glides on, but the pigmentation is lacking and this liner takes forever to set. Once set it does smear, smudge, and definitely not waterproof by any stretch of the imagination. Honestly I wouldn`t recommend as there are far superior gel liners available at the drugstore, such as Maybelline or Essence.
I bought this while on holiday in Turkey after the airline had lost my luggage and I had to repurchase everything I would need for the week, including cosmetics. I've rated it a 3 in terms of price because it is hellishly overpriced for a drug store brand, and even worse if you're buying it in a touristy location.
In any event, the product goes on really nicely and applies smoothly. The color and pigmentation are no problem at all, but the performance is POOR. I was in Istanbul in winter, so hot weather, humidity and sweating were not an issue and yet it *still* smudged and shifted within about an hour or two of wear. Very disappointing. I had to keep touching it up and wiping off smudges every couple hours or so. And waterproof? That's just a blatantly false product claim.
If it was this bad in cold, dry weather, I can't imagine what it's like in hot, humid weather.
Another one for the BIN.
I think Rimmel does itself a HUGE disservice to call this a waterproof smudge proof gen liner. Its a very nice gel liner, but its NOT waterproof by any stretch and its quite bendable too. This is probably not a good product if you are looking for a very precise product for a winged eye or something like this, and therefor I would not recommend anyone purchase this product in BLACK. That because said, it makes a beautiful more natural look with the brown color.
I like this in brown - and I will repurchase, I just wish they didnt try to make it something its not, because it is a very beautiful creamy pigmented liner. I would like the packaging more if it didn't have the long tall cap with the brush in it. I simple cap to keep this condensed down in size would have been better.
