At first I never really used it because I thought it works just as well as other hair oils that I have purchased, but then I mixed a few pumps with my conditioner ( I have really long hair that's why I say a few pumps) and let it soak in for about 5 minutes, my hair has not been this soft in a really really long time. This is like a miracle in a bottle! I love and will continue to recommend this product to people who have dry porous or damaged hair. <333
actual magic in a bottle! yesterday my hair was feeling kind of dull and just not as soft so I used this before I shampooed, let it soak in a little bit, probably 20-30 minutes and then I shampooed, when I woke up the next morning my hair was SO SOFT and even now, an entire day later my hair is so soft still and here's the thing, after shampooing this out I used NO CONDITIONER! madness I know ;) but really this stuff is great and my hair looks so smooth and shiny and I'm really happy :)
Perfection in a bottle! I have fine, shoulder length, chemically treated hair. I have to use a volume shampoo if I want me hair to be anything but flat against my head. But we all know volume shampoos dry hair out. My stylist tried this on my my hair and I fell in love! I've tries other oils and leave in conditioners before and all left my hair greasy and flat. This one didn't! I bought a bottle and tried it at home on damp hair before I blow dry and my hair is super soft, shiney, not weighed down and NOT GREASY!!! I don't know what makes this one different but it's perfection in a bottle. But beware...a little goes a long way! I use 1 drop, rub it in my hands, and smooth through damp hair from ends up. The $17 bottle will last a loooong time.
UPDATE
I've been usin this product for over a week and still have no complaints about it! I have NO product build up from it. I experimented with it over the last few days trying to use too much (3 generous pumps) just to try to make my hair greasy to see if it would and it doesn't! I use 1 pump on my hair before I blow dry (start at the ends and work to the roots) and 1/2 pump after I blow dry to tame the fly aways. My hair is soft, silky, and not greasy!

This works great for keeping damaged ends from splitting and keeping moisture in the hair. I alternate this with the Alterna Bamboo Kendi Oil Treatment after I spray Carol's Daughter Tiui Leave in conditioner on freshly washed hair. For the record, I am currently transitioning from relaxed to naturally curly hair. The length of my hair has been over processed three times and these oils are the only products that will actually keep my hair moisturized. Even better, you only need a few drops. I am 27 weeks post relaxer and shampoo my hair every other day, then condition with a mask or treatment followed by leave in conditioner and then the oil from mid shaft to ends. My only complaint is that the pump does not come with a pump so it is quite easy to waste product if you accidentally push down on the pump.
I love Matrix and it's never seemed to let me down. No matter what I used so I got this from my aunt because she's a hair stylist and she pretty much lets me test everything out. Well anyway, I put this in my hair after blow drying and it makes your hair feel very smooth and soft. I've used it before I shampooed and even put some in my conditioner. It's great for alot of things and I think most girls with curly hair will appreciate this.
I've tried several other pricey hair oils which leave my hair greasy. My stylist gave me a sample and now I can't live without it. I purchase this product at JC Penneys and it's very reasonably priced.
I am over 50 with colored, dry, shoulder length hair. A few drops of Exquisite Oil on damp ends and my hair is shiny and manageable! I agree with the previous comments that I’ve noticed I don’t have to use my flat iron since the oil makes my hair smooth and sleek. The oil pumps out nicely and generous 3 ounce bottle seems to last a long time. I don’t know why Matrix isn’t promoting this product more? It blows away that very pricey and popular hair oil!

My review is for the sample of this oil that I received in one of my Glossybox's. This is hands down the best hair oil I've ever used in my life! My hair is a hot mess with no oil to smooth it down. I have really thick hair that's about to my bra strap, and sometimes I like to blow it out (naturally curly). I used about 3 drops in my damp hair before blowdrying and it just made my brush glide through! I'm really funny about putting oils in my hair while damp because after I dry it, sometimes it tends to look greasy. This one is super light and doesn't do any of that. I could have even skipped the flat iron, my hair was just that smooth. However yesterday I used a curling iron and wrapped my hair around it and it gave really pretty smooth curls with no frizz. That tiny sample has lasted me a couple months and I plan to buy the full size and maybe even the shampoo & conditioner. So if you have hair that is dry and lacking moisture, please try this oil. You will be so happy :)
I got a sample of this from Ulta at a time when the ends of my long hair were looking a little split - and I'd just had a haircut and didn't want to get another one so soon. I would put about three drops of oil on my hands and then run them over the ends of my hair before going to bed.
I ended up buying the full-size product because this is the one hair oil I've found that doesn't make my hair feel/look greasy or weighed-down. I try to get at least two days between washes because my hair takes so long to do, and this product is great for adding a little shine and health back to my ends without having to worry about my hair getting oily or gross. It replenishes hair but doesn't stay just sitting on top of it; it soaks in nicely, leaving hair still feeling clean.
It's also good for styling when I do my hair curly, because it smooths the hair without gunking up the curl with a bunch of unnecessary product.
This is a very good hair oil overall, with a variety of uses. Although it is sort of pricey at $22, you get a lot in the bottle and because you only need to use so little at a time, it will last forever. Recommend.

I'm surprised this product hasn't gotten more attention since these oil-based type serums are so popular right now.. but anyway, on to the review. This isn't a product I loved right away, but I have grown to really like it. This serum/oil is much lighter than many of its counterparts out on the market, and it is certainly one of the least heavy ones out of the couple that I own. Having said this, since I was used to much thicker serums, I used a small amount at first, which had little to no effect on my hair. I did this is a couple of times and became frustrated with it, put it in my bathroom cabinet and forgot about it for a couple of weeks. Recently, however, I decided that I would give this another shot. I apply some Redken extreme anti-snap on towel dried hair, comb it through, and follow up with TWO pumps of this (which I recommend if you have thick, dry, wavy hair like mine). This combination has been making my hair look terrific! Soft, shiny and smooth. I also use one pump of this after my hair has been dried and styled which adds a bit more smoothness and frizz control. The good thing about this is that it never makes my hair feel greasy! I'm so used to other serums leaving a film on my hair that remains until my hair has been completely blow dried, which is annoying. It also smells really nice.. the typical Biolage smell, which I love. It's not the best serum/oil EVER but it is pretty good at making my hair look nice and presentable :)
EDIT: Bumping this up from four to five stars. I've been using it religiously for maybe five months now, and I love it. My hair feels silky and softer than ever, never greasy, and I have zero build-up! Love love love!
