Makeup Geek eyeliners are far and away my favorite product they make. They are long lasting and have unique and pigmented colors. This color is a silvery grey with a slight brownish tinge to it and is very shimmery. The shimmer actually shows up on the lid too. I was surprised at how grey it was; I almost wondered if they had sent me Twinkle! I think I expected it to be more brown looking. I do love this color though. I have sensitive eyes and some eyeliners make them burn, and I don't put eyeliner on the water line either. This one does not burn or run into my eyes. My only complaint would be that it dries so fast on the lid that you really don't have much room for error. A lot of liners you can smudge around or rub off a little if you get the line a little too thick, but this one dries almost instantly so you have to work quickly and carefully. However, I'll take that if it lasts all day.

COLOR: In the description on MakeupGeek's website, this liner is described as a dark metallic golden brown shade which I'd say accurately corresponds with the swatch in the picture. On Marlena's yt channel, she described this as a shimmery gunmetal and warm taupe. I still went ahead with my purchase and figured maybe her description in the video was wrong. In person, this liner looks nothing like the picture nor does it fit the description. I felt a little bummed after trying this because the color that I wanted was the one in the picture, a metallic golden brown. Rave is actually a shimmery gunmetal color with hints of taupe undertones, which Marlena accurately described in her video. If you put this next to a true gray/gunmetal color, you'll see the difference. But when you apply this on your eyes, it looks like any other gunmetal liner.
APPLICATION AND WEAR TIME: This applied a thousand times better than Poison. It went on opaque in one swipe, I didn't have any issues with wet and dry patches, although, this had a slight tacky feeling. It's not necessarily a bad thing, these liners would make a great base for glitter because of that. Here on a hot, muggy, humid day in Alabama, I got all day wear out of it without any smudging or fading.
REMOVAL: I purchased Poison and Rave but I have a feeling all the gel liners have the same ingredient(s) making these very difficult to remove. Using a facial cleanser or water based makeup remover will not take this off. As stated in my review for poison on her website, you will need to use either olive oil or an oil based makeup remover. Also, the same applies to your brushes, MAC brush cleanser or any water/alcohol based cleansers will not get the product out of your brush nor will using simple baby shampoo and water. Doing so will leave your brushes rigid and stiff. You may want to keep that in mind if you're a makeup artist that relies on your brush cleanser to clean in between clients.
Overall, Rave is a beautiful color but considering I already have a couple of gunmetal liners, I will not be repurchasing.
