This is one of my new favorites. Everything about this lipstick is superb! Inimitable is a shimmery, slightly cooler red. The shimmer actually made my lips look fuller. It doesn’t need a lip liner, as I wore it for 6 hours without feathering or the need to reapply. The formula is moisturizing and comfortable. My lips were in better shape after wearing this lipstick than they were before putting it on. I’ve never experienced this with a Chanel lipstick, much less a red lipstick. I’ll definitely be picking up a few more lipsticks in the Rouge Allure line.

I rated it a "5" because it is a beautiful color, and stays on well. However, it is my least favorite of the three Le Rouge Intense shades I tried.


My goal was to find a dupe for the Limited Edition "Famous" which I absolutely love, and should have purchased backup last winter when I discovered how nice it looked, But, I didn't, and you know Chanel.... Its not anywhere to be found for purchase now.


So, trusting my computer monitor, and input from a sales rep over the phone, who assured me that Inimitable was close to Famous, but slightly cooler, I purchased it. But, as it turns out, it is warmer than Famous, not cooler, It also is the most "frosted" of the three shades I ordered. I think its the metallic shimmer that I'm not loving, as it has a gold cast to it, it appears (to me) like a slightly more intense Cambon (Rouge Coco) with a gold shimmer.


So, its pretty, it applies easily, stays well, wasn't what I wanted though.
