I bought this because I think Koji does not test on animals, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. Long lasting and doesn't smudge on my oily lids, but it clumps like crazy. I like a soft, natural look so this definitely doesn't work for me.

I love how it looks (packaging) and it works well for short, straight, asian lashes BUT it flakes like crazy. I can't use it anymore because it irritates my eyes :(

Works great! the formula is pretty waterproof...although I haven't tested it in rain or snow yet.
the packaging is super cute, like all Japanese make up^^
my only complaint with this is that it's drying for my eyes, but I guess it's bc I have sensitive eyes...but I will still use this during those special occasions! I only wish mascaras have longer shelf lives(I can't bring myself to splurge on mascaras which only lasts 3 months!) :/

I really like this mascara! I bought this for $25 NZD from ipondo which I considered to be rather cheap; in comparison to other fibre mascara sold in departments stores in NZ. What actually made me look into purchasing dolly wink mascara is the fact that its designed for *asian lashes* It lengthens really well and it holds curled lashes; i do not have to curl between coats as I usually would. Its not a very thick formula but i do find the thicker mascara's creates clumps on my *lighter* lashes and makes them droop. The picture on the packaging is a great referencing point as you can definitely achieve what is pictured. I may have got a bit carried away... Because I also purchased the volume dolly wink mascara as well. My idea was that I would apply the volume first and then use the long mascara on the tips - best combination if i must say so myself :) For this price and results achieved will definitely be a repeat customer!

My lashes are stick straight and somewhat short. I would rather have added length than volume. I curl using the classic clamp, no-heat curler.

Colour: Black. Not ashy and not intense black.

Packaging: It's cute. Pink, purple and a bit of silver.

-This is similar to the Dejavu mascara in that it has little fibers and the wand is quite big

Staying power: No raccoon eyes
I didn't wear it to the beach or anything, but it stays on throughout the day and doesn't smudge after it has dried.

Curling: This makes my lashes droop! Absolutely no good with curled lashes, unless your lashes are naturally curly
Solution - I used to use Heroine Make mascara, which does hold the curl but gives me raccoon eyes (at least, a bit). I use Heroine Make mascara as a curling base and use this on top. No need to throw anything away! :D

Lengthening: With fiber mascaras, you need to apply mascara by layers and with a light hand, making sure the fibers get placed on the TIPS of the lashes. I don't really have much time in the morning for applying, drying, applying, drying, etc, so it's a pain to use. One or two layers is fine for me, but isn't "wow"

Price: I don't remember the price. I'd say somewhere around 1500 yen. It's not a total loss since I have a solution to the curl problem

If you like the Dejavu mascara, you'll like this one, but if you're satisfied with Dejavu, no need for this one until you need a new bottle.
