This has been my favourite mascara for a while now. I have monolid eyes and super short lashes that are barely visible because they are hidden under my lids. No mascara is able to make my lashes look long, no matter what, but some at least make my eyelashes look like they exist. Dolly Wink's Long Mascara is one of them. It also has very little fall out for a fiber mascara, which is important for me as my lashes are constantly rubbing against my eyelids. There is some slight fall out but I haven't found any mascara with less fall out so I can't really complain too much. The mascara lengthens lashes and also makes them look fuller. The brush head isn't perfect. I'd prefer something more precise, but it's still better than most mascara brushes I've experienced.
This is currently my favorite mascara. I've tried Mac, Clinique, Maybelline, Lancome, Dior, YSL, Chanel. And this is one of the best.
I have quite long and thick eyelashes (both upper and bottom lid) but my upper eyelashes grow down. So I needed something to curl them up and I also like them to be very long to the point of looking fake. Long but not thick. I am very prone to blepharitis and touch my eyes frequently.
I wanted to find a mascara that would be purely lengthening. Without any other "effect". This one does it all. I do not use any curlers (they have zero effect on my thick lashes; and yes, I've tried Shu Uemura and Muji curlers). Just a good technique (google it. it's how most make up artists apply mascara) and 2-3 coats of this.
I don't find any clamping with this product. Maybe because I wipe the brush right after I take it out (again, this is what all major make up artists will tell you to do, unless you want clampy eyelashes. which can be chic too. think Celine).
This mascara has fibers in it. And it will also require you to buy a bi-phase remover (for waterproof eye make up).
Another alternative to this (and that is not waterproof) is Kanebo 36°.
I've also tried Kiss Me Heroine Make and it did nothing apart from clamp, fall off after an hour and irritate my eyes.
The worst mascara ever! I hate this mascara..My eyes are not that sensitive and I have had no problems with number of other mascaras i used before. This mascara irritates my eyes so bad that I cant wear this longer than an hour. It does lenghten though...but it can never hold the curls...Anyways...I will never buy this again. total waste of money.
I bought this because I think Koji does not test on animals, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. Long lasting and doesn't smudge on my oily lids, but it clumps like crazy. I like a soft, natural look so this definitely doesn't work for me.
I love how it looks (packaging) and it works well for short, straight, asian lashes BUT it flakes like crazy. I can't use it anymore because it irritates my eyes :(
Works great! the formula is pretty waterproof...although I haven't tested it in rain or snow yet.
the packaging is super cute, like all Japanese make up^^
my only complaint with this is that it's drying for my eyes, but I guess it's bc I have sensitive eyes...but I will still use this during those special occasions! I only wish mascaras have longer shelf lives(I can't bring myself to splurge on mascaras which only lasts 3 months!) :/
My lashes are stick straight and somewhat short. I would rather have added length than volume. I curl using the classic clamp, no-heat curler.
Colour: Black. Not ashy and not intense black.
Packaging: It's cute. Pink, purple and a bit of silver.
-This is similar to the Dejavu mascara in that it has little fibers and the wand is quite big
Staying power: No raccoon eyes
I didn't wear it to the beach or anything, but it stays on throughout the day and doesn't smudge after it has dried.
Curling: This makes my lashes droop! Absolutely no good with curled lashes, unless your lashes are naturally curly
Solution - I used to use Heroine Make mascara, which does hold the curl but gives me raccoon eyes (at least, a bit). I use Heroine Make mascara as a curling base and use this on top. No need to throw anything away! :D
Lengthening: With fiber mascaras, you need to apply mascara by layers and with a light hand, making sure the fibers get placed on the TIPS of the lashes. I don't really have much time in the morning for applying, drying, applying, drying, etc, so it's a pain to use. One or two layers is fine for me, but isn't "wow"
Price: I don't remember the price. I'd say somewhere around 1500 yen. It's not a total loss since I have a solution to the curl problem
If you like the Dejavu mascara, you'll like this one, but if you're satisfied with Dejavu, no need for this one until you need a new bottle.
